This service, which cost $80 less than a year ago, is now $240. When I called, I neglected to ask for a quote, because I had worked with them before. I was assuming some increase in cost to account for gas/wage inflation, but was blindsided by the 3X increase. With a 3X increase, I would expect any company to warn returning customers of the new, significantly higher rates. Also, if I was not able to locate an ATM, they would have charged $300 by credit card. That is either A) taking advantage of people and/or B) a warning sign of tax evasion. I was thrilled with the professionalism and quality work of the mechanics who helped me. However, after this experience, I would NOT recommend Stamford Towing & Roadside Assistance.
