I submitted my resume to them and they said I have too much experience working freelance art jobs and that my resume isn't a fit for any of their jobs. 5 Stars because these people are the best. I have been with 6 or 7 agencies since moving here forever ago, so I know a good dynamic from a bad one. This is a good one. I got laid off from my dead-end job about one month ago, so no love lost there. Nikkie & Orilea took the time to get to know me a little bit - and then they found a good assignment for me right away. For decent $. And by right away I mean the DAY AFTER I registered. They have been helpful with sorting out my direct deposit for me. Made it easy. On this particular assignment I have met two other temps who are with Staff Connection and they both had nothing but good things to say about this agency. During these 4 weeks I've been with them some things have been consistent: They ALWAYS have time for me when I call. They are ALWAYS friendly, respectful & professional. They NEVER made me jump thru a lot of hoops (i.e. typing & arithmetic tests). If you're looking for work I HIGHLY recommend sending Staff Connection your resume. Two months ago I went in person and signed up for services of this employment agency, as I was initially impressed by all 5 star rated reviews on yelp. Even though I have a lot of experience in banking, call center and customer service I was told they work with boutique (local) employer and job openings come and go depending on need of Employer, to check in weekly. It has been 2 months and nothing, even I have gotten more results job interviews on my own. Definitely not like other employment agencies who place candidates fast. When I try to email for weekly check in my email is rejected, I called last week and reported this issue but clearly nothing has been done. The 3 women are rude, went in and they are supper short and no experience. They didn't have people skills and didn't budge on the info. Called to get info. Keep wanting me to go in. How do you not have information for me over the phone? This is bad business practice. Not everyone can go in, what if I am wasting my time? Can you at least tell people some information about your company? What's with the secrecy? Bad business practice? Why won't you even tell me how you can help me? (I contacted them for employment since I was new to the LA area and wasn't having any luck finding something on my own) Every experience is different, but for me, I was lucky enough to be hired on full time by the first place they found for me.
