    Stadium Hotel

Stadium Hotel is a great place to stay when you are in the area and need a place to stay. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have available here. Good experience every time I have been here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating.

    Beautiful room with pool view....

100 % satisfied! From the moment you enter the lobby up to room service. Very clean rooms, lobby, parking and public restrooms. Everyone at the front desk very attentive and customer service oriented. At the bar/food place in the lobby (Legends) the hosts Leo & Sol were on top of every detail...drinks, beers and food are at very good prices.

    The view from the balcony

I'll start with the positives. The staff was very friendly. The pool was nice, although certainly not suitable for small children or weak swimmers as it gets deep very quickly. There's a mini golf course. The breakfast was very nice, and the view from the 9th floor (where breakfast is served) was fantastic. Outside of that, there's nothing great about this hotel. The hotel's main selling point is that it's the closest to the Hard Rock Stadium. That is true, but if you're looking for something close to be able to walk like I was, it's really not for you. There are sidewalks all the way to the hotel, but it's still almost a 2-mile walk. Not crazy, but depending on what you're doing at the stadium, you might not want to make that trek back. Also, the driving in Miami is erratic, and it just felt unsafe to be a pedestrian so close to the highway. I read reviews saying it was "a little outdated" but otherwise pretty good. It's more than a little outdated. I doubt it's had any visual updates in at least 20 years. I got a room with a balcony that had a view. The "view" (that did cost extra) was a slab of concrete and tents. If I poked my head far enough to the right, I could kind of see the pool. The view from my second room was much better, although it was hard to enjoy given why I had to move rooms. I always check rooms for bed bugs as soon as I get in. The unfortunate thing with bed bugs is they're very sneaky and like to hide anywhere they can fit. I did the normal check under the mattress and pulled the sheets out. I didn't see anything, so I assumed all was well. I woke up on the first morning of my stay to find a single bed bug crawling on my sheets. I was, understandably, freaking out. I killed it with a napkin and brought it to the front desk to show them. The woman at the desk seemed just as worried as I was. They moved my room, apologized for the inconvenience, and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. I went through the same process in the new room, again found nothing, and cautiously assumed all was fine. I couldn't afford to find a new hotel at this point, so I didn't have much of a choice. I woke up on the second morning with bug bites on my feet that I did not have when I went to bed. I assume the bed bug issue is for the majority, if not all, of the hotel rather than just one room. I know anyone can get bed bugs, and they don't discriminate based on quality, but I think it speaks to the quality of the hotel that it's not being monitored. I went back and read some one-star reviews. There were people reporting bugs in the beds 3+ months ago. I can only assume that this is a known issue that isn't being addressed properly. Now guests like me have to do everything in their power to ensure we don't take them home with us. I had to throw out anything that couldn't be put in the dryer. I hopefully didn't bring back any unwanted visitors, but I did go home with a healthy amount of paranoia. Regardless of anything positive I have to say, nothing is going to make this experience enjoyable after finding a bed bug. I paid a significant amount for the room, so the whole experience felt like a massive waste of money. I can't tell you where to stay or not, but I can tell you I will never return to this hotel. Next time, I'll just stay at a Hilton. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Closest hotel to stadium...about 1.5 mile walk. It is considered a sports hotel and is littered with sports memorabilia. Restaurant/ bar in lobby. Great tv with lots of channels. Pool and mini golf. Basketball court but no gym. If you are a runner there's sidewalk and a few quite roads to run. Run to the stadium and back about 3 miles lol Parking is free. Close to Miramar and littered with great restaurants nearby(3-5 mile radius) This is a old hotel and faded blue in color...it's not the Hilton but it works if you are here just for the Stadium events. People are nice and the place is clean! Go Patriots!

The hotel is nice clean has great views a pool golf course and balcony. But the breakfast isn't not good

Flooded balcony that you pay extra but not functional. Stepped into the puddle of water with dead bugs with my barefoot .

Paid extra for balcony that was flooded with dead bugs in it. Room 204. Don't stay . Have issue with AC . Front desk wasn't helping to solve issues.

She who's a fan of the wrong football team found this hotel as a package deal through one of the travel websites, and we stayed here for her visit/ my staycation. Located next to the Turnpike and the Calder Race Track, Stadium Hotel is a good hotel for our travel situation or if you need to stay out of home for a couple of days during repair work. As others mentioned, the parking lot is open but there's a security guard in a golf cart doing rounds. Make sure you get a parking pass (gratis at the front desk.) There's a touchdown goal "sculpture" by the parking lot! The continental breakfast was decent with the basic staples of pastries, different breads, cereal, coffee and tea on the 9th floor penthouse with a decent view of the stadiums and Highway. The service staff was friendly and even served a generous order. Our room was pretty clean and the king size bed was comfortable. My main complaints had to do with the bathroom only: the shower temperature was too hot, the tub slow to drain and there was what may have been a water stain next to the tub. One elevator was out of order during our visit, and the public area decor could use an update (but that's just me being an OCD architecture geek :)

I stay at over 30 hotels a year and in my entire life this is the single worst hotel experience I have had. For starters and impossible to get over, I didn't know I had booked a double occupancy room. See the photo of my disgusting insect guest. Now, this can happen even at the best, but it does say something about the cleanliness when you're on the 5th floor and there's a 3" cockroach in your room. It's how the hotel deals with this nightmare that tells me more. Not even a blink. Not a discount. Nothing. That's saying something since I captured it in a cup and brought it down to their check out counter. I'm still traumatized, I don't see how they weren't. Considering they shamelessly and ridiculously charge a $15 "resort fee" (god knows what for since they offer not a single benefit beyond anything normal and expected), they couldn't even bother to refund that fee. This is to say nothing for the fact that they set up tables and chairs outside the front doors and had guests out there partying literally till 3am. Even had security that did nothing to control the noise or carousing. It was beyond awful!!!! Look, we are all here to enjoy a game, have some drinks with our crew and have a good time. 50 people tying one on in your courtyard all night long so loud people on the 5th floor cannot sleep, that's ridiculous! Since you will most likely shuttle into the game anyway, do yourself a favor and avoid this s&&thole.

Great stay at stadium hotel enjoyed the music played at the restaurant, food was good and so was the service willing to come back soon.

It's named this (I assume) because it's the closest hotel to the Hard Rock stadium where the Dolphin's play, so it's really convenient if you're catching a game.

Once again the bed was comfortable, desk area was good for charging electronics & checking emails, and bathroom had soft towels & everything worked well. We kept our waters cold in the mini fridge, and had we needed them, a microwave & coffee seat up were available. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! They offered scrambled eggs, potatoes, and ham, cheese and egg on croissant. Cereals, yogurts, pancakes, fresh fruit and more were available. We both had orange juice, even though I prefer cranberry juice. That juice was just pink water - but they corrected the situation once we pointed it out to staff. I had a glass afterwards. There's a kitchen if you are staying for a couple of days and want to make food, snacks or beverages. The kitchen is equipped with plates, glasses, pots, etc. I happen to like walking over to a sushi restaurant across the street when I stay here. The lobby was hot, I was told the AC wasn't working in the lobby. The room was cold though. I tried getting coffee prior to leaving in the morning, but the coffee was cold. Maybe it was left over from the day before. They do offer complimentary breakfast in the morning. I will be back for work again soon, and will provide any new updates. Dated lock on the patio door and barebones chairs on the balcony but not that big of a deal. Now to the bathroom and this place is straight out of 1994....peach tile walls, podium sink and chair height toilet at least but the tub shower is actually like a inch higher then normal tubs so definitely got to take a big step getting in... Now to check the water....hot water took almost 5 PLUS mins to START to warm up for bathroom sink and outside sink....turns on hot water for the shower and it's starts to get warm in 2-3 mins but definitely worried that I'm gonna have to take lukewarm showers all week. So I go to the hotel resturant thinking this was former Shula hotel and I sorta remember Shula steakhouse so I thought that's what I would be getting....nope. Decent egg rolls appetizer but steak was Texas Roadhouse ish(cooked properly but very little seasoning or flavor) I did ask the front desk clerk if the hot water is slow and he agreed then I made my way to another zip code back to the room as there is only two elevators and wouldn't you know it that the elevator closest to my room broke down for a day so I took the stairs. At least it was quiet throughout the week but I think that's just from not too many people staying on that side of the hotel. So I think this place is still riding on the nostalgia on yesteryear but a standard Holiday Inn is light years ahead of this place.

I'm not from Miami, but Miami lakes is probably not where you want to be hanging out of you're from out of town. The hotel appears as if it was randomly placed, then quickly forgotten. The staff doesn't want to be there, possibly because the customers treat them so badly. If you stay in this hotel, you will be so far removed from any sense of human decency that you won't know if it's possible to ever find it again. I will have to stay in 100 bed and breakfasts run by kind old couples before I can get this taste out of my mouth. To be more specific: the night I showed up, they informed me that I had no room (for a reason they couldn't disclose) and that I would be moved to a somehow more depressing sister hotel, the Shula. After spending one miserable night in a hotel I didn't reserve, I was told by the manager that I couldn't move back into the Indigo because I hadn't checked out of the Shula. If I wanted to move into the Indigo I would have to pay for both rooms for all 3 nights. "There is nothing we can do about it" they kept saying until I completely lost all decency (or rather, stooped to their level) and yelled at the manager over the phone. This immediately solved the problem and I could move into the room I reserved weeks ago without having to also pay for another random room at the Shula. I hate that this hotel drove me to yell at some poor guy just so they would honor the most basic hotel policies. Never stay here. Never support a business that cares this little about it's customers. EDIT: 15 minutes after writing this review, I could not unlock my hotel room door. I tried getting a new key, but the door still did not open. After sitting the hallway for 20 minutes (it's midnight by the way), the front desk told me they need to call an engineer to fix the battery in the door. Luckily a colleague of mine has a room down the hall with an extra bed. Hopefully I will be able to get into me room in the morning and get my bags before my flight home. This is a tragic and hilariously degrading hotel. EDIT #2: 1:43am... Literally an hour after my last update, trying to sleep in my colleagues extra bed (because I am, of course, locked out of my room), a woman starts yelling and banging on the door next to ours. She is screaming at the top of her lungs that her boyfriend has locked her out. At one point we peer out our door to ask if she's okay and she cusses us out, turning toward us looking like she might attack. Since then we have been silent inside our room listening to terrifying noises of screaming, pounding, and physical fighting. There was clearly an assault and now most of the floor is awake trying to calm her down. It sounds like the police have arrived. I truly don't know if I can condemn this hotel for ruining every one of my three nights here. It's almost not it's fault, because even if evil, I don't think it could devise a master plan so horrible and heartless. Nevertheless, this is a review site, and there are other hotels in Miami to stay. Don't risk it. Don't let it slowly break you down the way it has so many people. Find another place and let this hell hole slowly wither out of business.
