Stadium Grill was just across from our hotel, and was an easy choice when I realized that they had a lot of TVs and we'd be eating around the start of a football game I wanted to watch. We arrived at 6:30 on a college football Saturday, and the TVs were showing a variety of games, and the place wasn't packed so we were seated quickly. There is a decent list of beers that include local craft, at reasonable prices. And the menu is pretty substantial with sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and a few actual entrees. We had a bacon cheeseburger, a buffalo chicken sandwich, kids chicken tenders and kids Mac n cheese. The burger was good, the fries were perfect, and the kids didn't complain. My chicken was tough though, and barely sauces at all. The prices were a solid $2 per burger/sandwich than I think is standard at comparable spots, and the kids Mac and cheese is basic blue box stuff with a 900% markup (at least) and comes with nothing but a drink for $6. Our service was very good however, and I'd pick it again based on proximity to Roger Dean Stadium if we're playing here again. But I'd order differently, and probably just apps. read more

We were on our way to Civil Society's 2-Year Anniversary, and needed to have something to nosh before we started drinking; therefore, we checked this place out. The location is nice being that it's located in downtown Abacoa, and it's geared towards those going to Roger Dean Stadium for baseball games or other events they host. The food was ok. We ordered the sampler that came with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and potato skins. Pretty standard fare, nothing to write home about, and it did the job. Pricing wasn't bad. The service was fine. It was A-OK. We literally just went in to get something quick and bounce. In that regard, the Grill allowed us to do just that. read more

A waiter game by prompt enough, asked about draft beer, hmm, had to find a menu. He then stood and awkwardly waited as we all read the one drink menu. One member of the party asked for a local beer, dont have that. How bout plan B, which is always a rush decision. Drinks showed up, all well. Food ordered, burger, french dip, and another burger. One of the burgers was no bun, a great suggestion of having that burger wrapped in lettuce was made. Ooooh that sounded tasty. Not to me, but my friend that ordered it. So it was ok with me. Lol. A few weeks ago I went down to Jupiter for some Cards spring training fun, and ate lunch for the second time at JJ Muggs! It's literally right next to Roger Dean, so the location is perfect and easy. They have a ton of seating outside, but since we had already been outside for 7 hours we were ready to enjoy some AC. It wasn't very busy both times I've been, but it was late afternoon so I'm sure we missed the crowd. Service is always fine, and the food is always A-OK, too. Nothing phenomenal, but the menu is huge and everything always comes out as promised. This time I ordered the gorgonzola steak salad (mixed greens, diced tomato, cucumbers, diced red onion, crumbled Bleu cheese and sliced steak.) It was okay, but I was disappointed that the "mixed greens" was mostly a bunch of iceberg. The steak was done very well though, and the salad was huge. Everyone seemed to like their food which ranged from sandwiches to wraps to wings. They offer a half-rack of ribs for $13 that looked amazing! This place gets the job done while you're in Jupiter, but it's nothing that fantastic. Consider stopping by for a quick lunch and enjoy the many choices they have! read more

JJ Muggs is the place to go if you are near Abacoa and looking for a sports bar. There are a ton of flatscreen TV's tuned to every variant of ESPN... oh and the food is pretty good too. Your experience at Muggs is going to be tied to the time of year you visit. If you come between February and April, the whole of Abacoa will be swamped with people coming to town for spring training games and you'll probably wait to get a table. The menu here is pretty standard for a sports bar: hamburgers, wings, pizza, pasta, various sandwiches. Personal favorites include the french dip and the chicken sandwich. If I were to break down my rating it would be like this: 3 stars for quality and value of food, 1 star for TVs everywhere and 1 star for consistency over time (I've been visiting Muggs, usually for lunch, for going on 5 years now and have never had a bad meal). read more

Was pretty impressed with the burger and onion rings that I ordered. Needed a bite to eat before the quick walk to Civil Society, which is down the block. The food brings this place up to three stars. Plus, the beer was cold. That's obviously a bonus as well. The reason that these types of places get only three stars is that they lack warmth. You order your food, drink a beer, and listen to the locals at the bar discussing things that have no relevance to you. Plus, the music wasn't playing loud enough, nor were the TV's, so you can't help but hear conversations that you don't necessarily want to hear. We have these types of places in Broward too -- mostly in Coral Springs. I'm not entirely sure what can be done to improve that experience. At this point I just needed some food. I had been driving for 9 hours to get to Jupiter for customer visits. I located this place on yelp and they had a blackened grouper sandwich as well as sweet potato fries, also French onion soup, which I ordered all of these to go. I did the order online and when I arrived I found a small outdoor type area with shops and other restaurants. When I arrived to pick up my food I only had to wait around 5 minutes for it to be brought to me. I did find it strange that not many people were here for this time of the day. The French onion soup was given to me in a 16 oz styrofoam cup wrapped in plastic which was strange when trying to eat it. Wound up drinking it instead. The sandwich, however was very good and seasoned well. There were too many onions which I removed most of them. I also liked the bun. Sweet potato fries were ok but I have had better. This is a college location so I'm sure when students are in town it can be busy here. read more

Dinner with my family! After a long day of doctor appointments I received a message on FB saying 1/2 off on burgers. I am currently at the Stadium Grill for a birthday celebration. We have a little more than 16 people in our party; most of them being adults and most of them drinking alcohol (which we all know is where restaurants make their money). We also ordered food. The music in the bar is not uplifting on a Saturday night or family friendly. I asked the bartender if the music could be changed to something a little more "party-like" Saturday night. After all, there is a car show just outside the doors. That was about 20 minutes ago and I'm still waiting for the music to be changed. In addition to the very un-customer service like behavior regarding the music; our service receiving our food would make you think that the kitchen staff had to go to the supermarket to purchase the items needed to make our dishes.
