The food and service were very nice, no issues with either.The only upsetting aspect was the pricing. Signs outside the restaurant advertise "$6.99 breakfast" , I had my meal and paid $12.40, including tax, tip excluded. I looked closer and saw that the price for one coffee was $3.99. Brunch on Sunday July 20. Came in hour before close. The resteraunt was busy. Food was great, and service was top tier. As it always is I regret that i didn't catch our servers name. As we were leaving, there was another table of 4 also on their way out. And "gentleman" wearing a suit was speaking with our server which I happened to unintentionally ease-drop as I passed by. From my interpretation he was explaining that he refused to provide a tip to the server because there were finger print smudges on the window and table top.. The reason for this review is only criticizing the shorty customers that the people who work in this industry have to put up with.. Who wears a suit to breakfast, and then refuses to tip over nothing!? Usually people who cant actually afford the suit.. You guys are awesome and do a great job! We ordered two breakfasts and shared, the Blueberry Cheesecake pancakes were AWESOME, beautiful texture, flavour, would've liked the cheesecake sauce to be a little bit more cream cheesey and less sweet, thin and runny. Did not break a tooth or cut myself but find it hard to fathom how someone can take a pinch of onions with a piece of metal blade in it and not notice? I have a picture of it for everyone to see. I seldom miss an opportunity to visit a pancake-centric restaurant. When I was driving past Stacked, I couldn't help but to pop-in for some pancakes. I showed up about 10 minutes before closing and was quickly seated. The service was on point. The waitress was friendly and cheerful despite the fact that she had to stay longer than her shift would have otherwise required. The prices seemed comparable to a similar-type of place. The menu is fairly extensive, with a fairly large pancake section, including interesting options like "white Chocolate Oreo and Double Chocolate Turtles. I ordered an ordinary stack of pancakes and a cup of coffee. The pancakes could have been a lot better at a restaurant named "Stacked Pancake House". They had a bit of that pleasant buttery taste but were too dry for my palate. The syrup, which suddenly became necessary due to the aforementioned dryness, did not taste like maple syrup at all. I suspect it is one of those table syrup concoctions you'd find south of the border. Again, I expected better from a pancake house. Overall, it seems like Stacked can be a very good restaurant if they can only step up their pancake game. read more

First off my server was mostly terrific. Secondly, my bennys were cooked perfectly. Home fries were rushed from their blanching and tasted like carbohydrated rocks. The server attempted to correct issue but judging by the crash of plates in the kitchen, I think they're coming late. The Hollandaise sauce was pretty good, the eggs were medium sized not large or XL which was too bad. $13 plus coffee, reasonable for todays inflated climate. Definitely better than an Eggsmart or Sunset Grill which make a 7-11 breakfast palatable. read more

The staff is super friendly, made the order to go in a reasonable time. One remark, in the menu it stated our orders come with home fries and fruits. We didn't get the fruits. The pancakes are super big and actually taste like something home made and not generic like every fast food place. The eggs with steak and the eggs with bacon and ham were very tasty and honestly hard to finish even in one sitting as the portions are large. The salad was fresh and also a big portion. I definitely will be back to try other things on the menu as there's quite a selection. read more

On two different occassions we had breakfast at a Stacked Pancake House in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The first location was at the McLeod Road location where we took our 6yr old great granddaughter. She and I ordered pancakes. When the food arrived, the surface of the pancakes was so tough we could not cut them with a knife and had to attempt to pull them apart with our forks. I finally sent mine back and received only an apology and a $10.00 gift certificate. The second visit was this past week to the Morrison Street restaurant where my wife and i experienced the same problem. For a signature dish, this is pretty pathetic. We will not be eating at a Stacked restaurant again. read more

We've gone to Stacked on Essa Road for breakfast/brunch a number of times since moving to Holly in Barrie. They have delicious breakfast potatoes, good coffee, and always cook our eggs and bacon the way we ask. Their waffles are really great too! read more

Stacked has a massive poster in the window that states "$4.99 breakfast" but in small print it says from 7am-9am. Okie dokie... As you walk in you are greeted by a crooked "please wait to be seated", But the real rebels ignore this and run like Mexicans to the US border to seat themselves. (Hey it was a really good sign in the window) 3 eggs (sunny side up), home fries, whole wheat toast and one slice of Ham. (Because two slices is breaking the bank) oh and a water on the side. My friend got the same meal as me except with coffee, fresh warm hot delicious coffee. The food was okay, the home fries you could tell we're sitting on the back of the stove keeping warm, the eggs were NOT over easy and were cooked right through. And the one slice of ham I got was barely even Browned, so yeah cold breakfast with a side of ice water. Pretty sure Paul Bernardo gets warmer meals in Kingston.. When I finished my water the waitress came by our table three times and only asked my friend if she needed more coffee, never even asked me if I would like more water. I sat with an empty glass for 20 minutes till we left. NOTES: -The staff was friendly -Service is bad -Food was okay but needed more sincerity and attention and come on..more portions. A breakfast like that should cost $10 before tax. ONE SLICE OF HAM?? Really? -You get (what I think is) Fresh Jam with your toast. -Our table was dirty when we were seated but the seats were comfy so you get a pass. -Atmosphere was good, everyone their was in a good mood and enjoying themselves. -The menu shouldn't be more then two pages, do one thing and do it proper. Came in around noon, my servers name was Elsa. It didn't seem like she wanted to be there one bit. She didn't say much at all after giving our food. Didn't check on us once until I waved her over near the end of our meal to ask for a coffee. She gave multiple multiple dirty looks towards my wife and I. It made the whole experience uncomfortable when the server is giving heavy attitude and not putting in any effort, we saw her check on the people two tables over twice and us not once. I truly hope this review helps someone as the service was HORRIBLE. I often enjoy the food at stacked however it will now be worth it for me to drive to the Barrie location from now on. read more

Three stars for the food, but for the service I'd say 1 star maybe 2 if you're lucky and you go when the staff aren't on a war path?? I'm not sure. The pancakes are good they have a large variety of flavours which is cool as you don't really have a lot of fun choices for food in Innisfil, but the staff are just so rude! I came here for the first time years ago for lunch and they were dead and yet our server could not figure out how to find us. I then returned a few weeks ago for takeout and they were extremely rude and it took them an extra half hour to finally give me my food that was sitting bagged and ready in the kitchen the whole time, very sad! read more

I have never in my life been a jam fan until this past weekend when I got to try theirs. I even sent my sister back to buy me a jar because I NEED THIS JAM IN MY LIFE. ALL THE TIME. I have a trailer just around the corner from Angus and this past Canada Day weekend we all ate there each morning we were there (three times). The first morning, I got the steak eggs benedict. It wasn't the BEST steak-benny I've had, but it was good, and not bad for the price. My only complaint is that 4/6 eggs-benny choices involve spinach. :( I"m okay with spinach, but would LOVE an option with other greens such as asparagus! I ordered my eggs medium, got them medium! I dipped all my homefries into the jam. The second morning, I got my sister to bring me back a chicken caesar wrap which was great. It was big enough where I could eat one half and save the other half for lunch... I dipped my french fries into the jam. Said sister brought back a jar of jam for me to take home to Toronto. The third day, I order the meat-lover's breakfast with an extra serving of breakfast sausages. Ate every bite. Ordered my eggs over-easy, got my eggs over-easy. Dipped my home-fries into the jam. Basically, I dipped everything I could into the jam, and I've had toast and jam every day since I got back home. .... I'm almost out of jam. I WILL BE BACK FOR JAM. read more

Reviewing Essa Rd location- was sceptical of dining here as per other reviews. Would not revisit location. Food took a long time to arrive, especially seeing they were not very busy. When the food did arrive, we received two meals, and the third did not arrive until 5 minutes later--- food should come together or within a minute of each other for best food serving practices. In addition, I got a little extra in my coffee, as a bug was swimming around. The coffee was replaced by the server. The coffee was not taken off my bill when we went to pay- as customer service standards, this should have been done automatically. Servers should be more concerned with the customers satisfaction than their own personal lives while in front of customers. read more

I was extremely disappointed in Flapjacks this past visit. The new owners have change the way the home potatoes were prepared- leaving the skin on and barely frying them on the flat top. They apparently want to save time! Well they saved on flavour! The jam looked so chemical, my egg white portion was a jock... I think I was less then 3 bites. The hollandaise was runny and the flavour was too citrus. Overall too many thugs have changed from the original owner and not for the better, cutting corners with the quality. I work in Foodservice and sell food for a living .. Really sad to have lost our breakfast spot. read more
