I later learned he was a "loaner" who didn't even work for the company, and that he did poor work all day. -They were hired to help PACK the house, which I was fine paying for. The workers brought NO packing materials and instead just tossed stuff haphazardly into whatever container they could find. When they ran out of the boxes we had provided, instead of asking me to go get more (I was working in my vehicle the entire day), they simply threw things into the back of their truck loose. Two days later we're still finding shattered pieces of our property due to, for example, reams of printer paper being thrown on top of china. -Speaking of dishes, they didn't even pack everything. There were a few items I asked them to leave once I realized they were being idiots with our stuff, but we also discovered they didn't even open the kitchen cabinets, so we have to go back and move most of the kitchen ourselves. If the house closing had not already been moved, we'd have to move it just to finish the job we paid for. -After the truck left the old house I found the ground littered with cigarette butts. It turned out they had been smoking all day right next to the OPEN DOOR of the house. All our stuff reeks of cigarette smoke. Whatever does not err out is now ruined. All told it took them two days to move a three-bedroom home and it's not even moved. We've lost many of my wife's nice things to straight-up malicious incompetence. The owner did take responsibility and accepted a reduced bill, but the more we try to undo the mess, the worse even that settled bill looks. Stay far, far away.

I contacted them again within a week of moving and said hardly anything would be packed. They said they weren't bringing boxes or packing supplies, I told them I would provide. I called them again as they drove to the move and told them I needed packing done. Bottom line, even though not part of original agreement, I warned them several times about the situation. They packed my storage first on the first day. 4 people allegedly took 7 hrs to pack a fully loaded 10 x 15 storage unit. You do the math. The second day they stated on the main area. Packing needed to be done, and I told them I would ay them an additional $800. Let me hasten to say that at no point did they offer to do this for more money, or try to renegotiate. They did say they would like to leave at 2:30, after arriving at 10a. At 3:30 they said they needed to get diesel in their trucks, and I needed to get either cash or a certified check to pay them the approx. $6k owed (INCLUDING bonus). They called from gas station and asked me to meet them. I paid them and they left. I thought they must have really busted it the last hour. When I returned home I found items and trash in every room. There was a box open and half-packed in the kitchen, as well as a bowl half wrapped on the counter. There were items in every cabinet. The cabinets below the counter had not even been touched. I've attached photos for how it was left. I had to contact a 2nd mover to come and finish the job, at the cost of an additional $3,100. They had caked up an additional 40 boxes!!! Who just walks away from a job!?!? I thought these were good guys, but I truly felt robbed.

As I researched moving companies to assist us after 26 years in our home, Reign kept coming up as a…read moregreat choice. I spoke with their scheduler and felt assured that Reign would be the one we would use, even though they seemed to be a bit more expensive. A few weeks before we knew our moving date, we did a Face Time walk through of the old home to get an idea of what the cost would likely be. The date and time were set, the morning arrived and Reign was right on schedule. The guys worked hard, took their time to wrap furniture, appreciated the lunch we bought for them, and left for the new house where I met them. Some things were stacked (wardrobe boxes on top of each other), a few boxes were in the wrong room, the garage was left in disarray, a fern stand had fallen over and had a broken base, and the treadmill was not reassembled. Reign had made arrangements to have two follow-up movers come when the first "shift" ended, so these two young men unstacked the stacked boxes, arranged the garage, went back with us to the old house and checked to see that everything was delivered, moved a few leftover items that we missed, put the fern stand in the truck, and tried to reassemble the treadmill. When they could not, they asked us to call Jason, the owner. Jason immediately dispatched another employee who also could not reassemble the treadmill. Not to be outdone, Jason called us and said that he was sending another employee who would arrive first thing the next morning to fix the treadmill. Two young men arrived about 8:30 and had the treadmill together in a few minutes. Of course, that is not the end of the story because moving is never a one-day event--and ours began to unfold with some items that needed to be addressed. The movers had "dinged" a few spots in the old house, which took about a week to repair because Jason uses a man whom he trusts to do a good job, and this man was not available right away. When it was finally completed, the repair was flawless. Then we noticed a dining room piece was damaged, so we sent a picture to Jason who came to inspect and assure us that it would be fixed. While he was with us, he noticed a small scratch on the floor in the dining room, so he helped my husband put felt pads under the table legs and on each chair leg. This was above and beyond anything we had experienced in the past. Again, we had to wait to get the dining room server repaired because Jason uses a furniture repairman who does a remarkable job in repairing damaged wood. He even stabilized the piece while he had it. I might not have been happy waiting, but I was delighted with the finished product. After a few days in the new house, I reached for a file in our filing cabinet and discovered it was in bad shape from the move. When I called Jason, he said not to worry; he was coming to our house to help. This is where his customer service will astound you if you have ever dealt with moving companies who just give you a check and make you sign a document that releases them from further responsibility. Instead of attempting to fix the filing cabinet, he suggested just purchasing another to replace it that would be similar cost. He and I picked out one that seemed identical, his warehouse team came to our house and assembled the new one, realized it would not work so they called Jason who told me to order whatever I wanted. It took two tries to get what I wanted, but Jason never hesitated to find what would make me happy. His company should be your choice for any move.

Expensive jewelry was missing immediately after our move. We discovered that two expensive pieces of diamond jewelry were missing, including my wife's diamond engagement ring and diamond tennis necklace. The jewelry was in her bedside table the night before the move, was never packed, and Reign's crew was the only outside group in our home with access during that time. We immediately contacted Reign and filed a police report. CMPD classified the incident as "All Other Thefts," documented the diamond engagement ring as missing property, and opened an investigation. Reign's owner, Jason Julian, dismissed our concerns as "accusations" because we could not prove that one of his employees physically took the jewelry. Obviously, we did not anticipate needing to videotape or search the movers before they left our home to establish whether anything had been taken. Based on our experience, I would NEVER use Reign Moving Solutions again, and I strongly caution others before allowing this company into their home.

I have paid consistently and on time for 2 units at Save Green Self Storage in Arden, NC, which is…read moreowned by Hawthorne Residential Partners, for 4 years. Yesterday, my access code did not work. My code was not necessary to get in the gate because, as I was told by the woman in the front office, the gate was always left open because it was broken but I needed the code to get into the building that housed my units. I was given another code and that one did not work either, so I was then was given a default code and finally got in the building. Then my keys did not work. The woman at the gate had told me I could ask man who was working nearby to my units for help if the default code did not work, so I asked him for help with the keys. He explained he had previously managed another storage facility and was familiar with the problems people had with those locks, He graciously offered to come help to see if he could get my locks open. He tried the locks repeatedly and told me that the keys I had did not work on the locks on my units and explained that if I didn't have working keys, I'd have to have to call a locksmith. I thanked him and continued jiggling the keys in the locks because I knew they were to correct keys and, after a few minutes, I got one lock open. I opened the door and there was someone else's stuff in my unit. So now, one unit had someone else's stuff and the other I could not get open, so I called the front desk and was told they would do absolutely nothing but lend me a can of WD40. They wouldn't come down and look the other person's stuff or even recommend a local locksmith. I asked them how I should go about handling the situation and they told me they would not tell me anything or help me in any way, besides the can of WD40 of course. I asked if I should call the police and she sarcastically told me "Yes, should call the police". So I called the police who explained the other person's stuff in my unit was a civil matter but that, once I got the other unit open, if my stuff was missing I should call him back and he'd send an officer down for a larceny. The locksmith came. He confirmed that the lock I could not open had indeed been replaced with a different one and that he was shocked I that I had gotten the other one open because that one showed clear signs of damage. Save Green Self Storage changed both of those locks and allowed another person to access my units and, when I attempted to rectify the problem, Save Green Self Storage refused to assist me with anything. Both the police officer and the locksmith were astonished and disgusted by the actions of Save Green Self Storage. I don't recommend you use them for your storage needs. I've added some additional photos. Save Green Self Storage is owned by Hawthorne Residential Partners. When I brought my problem to Hawthorne's attention on their Facebook page they laugh reacted to my message and also removed one of my posts on the page. It is now after Christmas, and these very unprofessional people that don't know anything about logistics or customer service still have not delivered my furniture. They managed to miss (4) set appointments two week period prior Christmas, and these items were Christmas gifts. Each day they set an appointment, someone had to miss work and wait around for these loons. I called JCP to get refund. Christmas was ruined! Thanks for nothing!
