When called to simply add a vehicle over the phone to get insurance on my new vehicle purchase…read morewhile I was at the dealership so I could leave with my new vehicle they would not setup my policy even though I stated I was paying cash and would bring the cash payment in person as soon as I left the dealership. State farm agent reply, "what if you never show up with the cash?" I replied I can pay with a Visa credit card on the phone to setup the policy but would like to refund my credit card when I stop by in person with the cash. State Farm Agent Replied " I cannot refund your credit card, why would you come by with cash? " That is poor customer service, Non-trusting, and inconvenient business practices..... NOT the type of agent or business I'd like to do future business with.
