Dr. May Wang has really helped me a lot with her acupuncture treatments to my back and neck…read more She is very experienced and relieved my back pain then my neck pain. I started going 2X a week and now go once a week. I could not speak more highly of her! Here prices are in line with other professionals. The small needle punctures are just a little "ouchy" for 2 seconds. Then no pain at all. My doctor's recommended acupuncture because their only fix was an operation. Dr. Wang's treatments are very reasonable in cost to feel good all week (with a few Tylenol pills in between. Bill C. Batavia, NY

Dr. May Wang Yelp Review…read more Dr. Wang has hands down provided me with the most compassionate, responsive, expert, and most importantly, impactful, medical treatment and services I have ever received in my life. She takes the time to get to know you at a human level, dives into the reasons why you are seeking medical treatment, and addresses all ailments comprehensively, as opposed to the segmented treatment I've become so accustomed to elsewhere which never seems to lead to a comprehensive resolution. Initially, I sought out Dr. Wang's acupuncture services for severe heartburn and heart palpitations due to a diagnosed leaky tricuspid heart valve. She was quick to emphasize that I would need to continue seeing my cardiologist for my standard Echocardiograms, stress tests and EKGs for ongoing tracking of the extent of my valve leak which I appreciated. The first few acupuncture treatments were intense but manageable and so very worth it because after 3-4 sessions, all of that intensity dissolved (needle pain, sweaty palms, etc.). I now enjoy the relaxation of acupuncture more than a spa treatment. After a few weeks of multi treatments a week, I started to see significant improvements which immediately benefited my daily quality of life. The heartburn symptoms dissipated, heart palpitations ceased, and my sleeping and energy made me feel like I turned the clock back 15 years. Now my maintenance plan is once a month. I've never felt stronger or healthier and am back to running 4 miles a day a couple times of week which I wasn't able to do for years and only have Dr. Wang to thank. A few weeks ago, I started having severe pain from running in my calf, to the extent that I couldn't run. I went in for my monthly appointment and shared this issue with Dr. Wang and she knew the exact spot and muscle to tackle in both of my calves. The pain was gone immediately after treatment and I was back to my routine the following day with no further issues. Thank you, Dr. Wang, for being you and I am so thankful to have discovered the vast benefits of your acupuncture treatments!! - Kate

At the time I was having chronic back pain and spasms, and hoping for relief. The first visit was a thorough medical history review along with my first round of acupuncture. I didn't know what to expect, and honestly, couldn't fathom being stuck with needles, but was pleasantly surprised. Colleen said it could take awhile for the spasms to stop, so I went weekly for treatments. By the 6th week, I realized the spasms had subsided dramatically and by the end of the second month, no pain at all. At that point we went into maintenance mode, and I only needed treatments every couple of months. As it turns out, I liked the way I felt after acupuncture, so have been going regularly since that first visit all those years ago. As I am aging, arthritis and daily stress take hold, so I continue to go about once a month (sooner, if I feel something act up) for my tune ups. I highly recommend Colleen O'Neill Acupuncture. I wish there were more stars in this review, because she deserves them.

TL; DR - Great, caring doc with an amazing staff. Pretty sure he got his magic hands from Merlin…read more I just returned from my eighth visit to Hamburg Natural Health. I wanted to make sure the crack was good before sending you there. THE CRACK. IS GOOD. (Not literal crack, obviously. That's a chiropractor "dad joke," and in case you're rolling your eyes at me, I don't care because my dad would have thought I'm brilliant!) On the off-chance you have read my previous review for a different chiropractor in Snyder, let me reassure you that I still think he's pretty awesome, but I moved to Hamburg a year ago and it was getting to be ridiculous driving that far for some good spinal manipulation of my subluxation. Dr. Hoy does some advertising on Facebook, which is where I first saw his ad, and if you can't trust Facebook, who can you trust? (Yelp would not load my sarcasm font.) However, I did some research and it turns out, he knows a thing or two about this chiropractic stuff. So, I booked my appointment, went in for my first visit and then my second and my third, and so on. (And I STILL haven't asked him if his childhood nickname was Chip. Honestly, his parents missed a golden opportunity to name him Chip Andrew Hoy. I mean, Chip A. Hoy! (My dad is laughing in heaven, I swear.) On to the meat of the review ... I couldn't BEEE (nod to Chandler Bing) any happier. My pain level was greatly reduced after my first visit with Dr. Hoy. I went in the first time with neck, back, and hip pain. The hip pain has not returned. The back pain has been minimal, but my neck, while better, still causes me some issues. It's honestly no surprise after seeing the x-ray. (Side note: He offers x-ray in his office, which is so convenient so he can see what's going on with your body without having to send you off elsewhere.) With this whole "my neck still hurts, Doc" thing going on, Dr Hoy recently changed things up with my neck adjustment. It was not responding well on one side, so he started to manipulate that side FIRST and holy cow, did that make a difference! My neck has felt so much better in between appointments! He has great intuition, fantastic communication, and an excellent staff. His hours are really great, too! Dr Hoy offers other services in his clinic, as well, and is great about sharing with you what they are without being pushy or too assertive, making you feel like you are being forced into add-ons. I love knowing all my options without being made to feel like it's an upsell every time I walk in. (Some of those additional services include acupuncture & cold laser therapy.) As of May 2024, I'm pretty sure he's still running ads on Facebook with some savings for first-time patients. If you're not on Facebook, just mention it when you book your appointment and I'm sure they'll give you the same deal.

My path to booking a massage with Chelsea Privitera through Creative Wellness was random…read more I discovered I had a wellness card through my health insurance on 12/31 (can you say last minute?) and was in a panic looking for wellness places I could purchase a gift card from, online, for therapeutic treatments (I already have enough supplements for a lifetime). Luckily, I found Creative Wellness sold gift cards and provided online appointment booking for their advertised services. I knew I needed a massage, badly, and booked a 60 minute session with the first practitioner available: Chelsea Privitera. (I found out later that Chelsea is a separate entity than Creative Wellness, and even though she doesn't directly take Creative Wellness gift cards, Creative Wellness does honor them by reimbursing Chelsea, which I'm incredibly thankful for. It can be confusing because it looks like Chelsea is part of Creative Wellness when booking the appointment. When my gift card runs out, I will definitely be returning to Chelsea either way.) Upon arrival to the beautiful new location at Cardea Health Integrative, I noticed there were multiple buildings, and two of them looked residential. I started to have some anxiety about where to go; not wanting to walk into someone's house, so I walked towards the first building to the left when you enter the main driveway. It's a big white multi-storied house with a garage to the right of the house and has a sign for CHI. This house was indeed the place where Chelsea was located. Chelsea was nice enough to wait by the front door, otherwise I would've been lost and my agoraphobia could have spiraled more, which is not great prior to when you're supposed to relax. (Hopefully Creative Wellness will put up some signs to help guide clients to the right location. Apparently, there are two buildings with their practitioners. I am not sure which building it is in.) Chelsea was wonderful to talk to and she was very intentional with the therapeutic process and cared about what I wanted to work on during the session. I've been to a lot of massages where the room is cold, and even though this was an old (and incredibly gorgeous) house, there was a warm heating pad and a heater in the room, which was helpful. There was also a bathroom connected to the room, which was very convenient. The massage itself with Chelsea was wonderful. I really couldn't have hoped for a better one. I loved the scalp massage, the soothing herbal eye compress, and the warm towels placed on my back and neck at the end of the massage. Chelsea found the spots that were more troublesome on my back and neck (I'm a full-time cybersecurity researcher and writer. I type A LOT). I'm grateful she took the time to treat these areas. In summary, I will definitely go back to experience another massage treatment with Chelsea! Thanks!

Primarily I have attended Yoga classes, but have also done Reiki, Reflexology, New Moon Integrations and Tai Chi. I have also attended programs for healthy diet. All have been wonderful! As Covid has impacted our lives, I now attend my Yoga classes virtually. In-person classes are still available. A variety of classes are offered every day at many different times, making it easy to fit into my schedule. Each instructor brings a special, unique feel to the practice and I always end my practice feeling better. Even my yellow lab will lay down and be soothed by the Yogi's calming voice! I can't imagine not having Creative Wellness in my life. I have made friendships and have become a healthier version of me through the wonderful, caring guidance of Susan, the owner, and her dedicated staff. Highly recommend!!
