My husband was very sick and could not even sit up. I found a wheelchair and put him in it. They…read moretook others in the ER before him.. There were probably 6-7 people in the room. He passed out once. They never checked on us nor did they call us back in the 6 hours we were in the waiting room. If you are sick do not stop here. Go to Birmingham. We were taken in at Brookwood within 5 minutes. They staff is not professional and hateful when I would ask how long. I think they put me behind others because I asked several times. I knew he was deathly sick. HE WAS!! I was told that they doctors are NOT good in he ER. From my experience on 2 different visits I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN..

I can't even give this ER one star. Was there Friday night with a very bad ear infection. I was…read moretold right away that they were busy and they would get me in as soon as they could. If I knew then what I know now I would've and should've gone somewhere else. I waited in the waiting room for almost an hour in extreme pain to the point where I couldn't help but cry. They finally take me in the "nurse" takes my blood pressure (198/97) doesn't take my temp which when I left my house was 101. Asks me what my pain level is (I sitting there crying by the way) I say it's a 10. She says ok and leaves the room. I wait another 45 min the doctor comes in she looks at my ears for about 10 seconds and says oh you have swimmers ear, we'll get you a pain shot and some antibiotic drops. (Still crying in pain) another 1/2 hr goes by can see the nurses in the station laughing, taking selfies and having just a great time. Finally the nurse comes back in with the pain shot and ear drops. Hands me 2 prescriptions and we leave. Next morning (cause at this point it's 10:00 and the pharmacy is closed) my husband goes to fill the scripts. Can't fill them. One of the scripts isn't signed and the other they've never heard of. My husband has to go back the the hospital to get this corrected and finally $150 later we have the scripts. Still suffering all day Saturday into Sunday morning finally go to another ER. They tell me that the ear drops are the wrong kind; that I do have swimmers ear but I also have an inner ear infection too!!! Absolutely appallingl
