I was then seen by a nurse who took my vitals and asked questions about my back issue. This started at about 8:40am. After that was complete, I assumed the Doctor would come in a few minutes after since there was no wait and was the only person in the office area. After waiting for 43 minutes in the patient room, NO CONTACT WITH ANYONE ABOUT THE WAIT TIME. At 9:30am I had to open the door and ask the nurse at the front desk how much longer?? She said another 15 minutes because the Doctor was with a patient, mind you I had an appointment scheduled to avoid this type of wait time and the app said that nobody was ahead of me in the scheduling time slot. At 9:48am, the doctor strolls in. No introduction as to who she is and no apologies about the wait time. Then goes to tell me I just need to stretch due to my serve back pain and can barley bend over to attempt to touch my toes. No common curtesy of wasting my time when I had to be at work for 10am, WHICH WAS A 20 MINUTE DRIVE. This is why I even scheduled an 8:30am appointment to make it to work on time. After "diagnosing" after a 3 minute appointment, I walk out and one of the nurses is just taking a casual nap at the nurses station!! What joke this place is!! COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! THIS LOCATION IS AWFUL. AVOID THIS PLACE IF POSSIBLE!! THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST EXPEIRENCE AT AN URGENT CARE I HAVE EVER HAD. ZERO STARS !!!!!!!!!

It was then I learnt that the original follow-up was listed as a blood pressure check. So INEPT. To tis day, no return call. Going to someone else. What a terrible experience! I was in town on 7/20/22 from Texas. I lost my voice, my ears hurt and…read moremy throat hurt. I made an appointment online the night before. I showed up ten minutes early for my appointment. I signed in on the kiosk and waited. I observed two exam room doors and over time noticed two female employees constantly going back and forth from room to room. I wondered why. Finally one of the females called me in. It was easy to bring all of my meds with me since I had them for travel. She was so happy I had brought them and she went through each one looking at the screen and hand writing some kind of list. It took awhile but it had to be done. She ended up administering a Covid test and a strep test based on my complaints. She told me the tests would take ten minutes to get results and then I would see the Nurse Practitioner Catherine Cushman. After 15 mins of watching other patients coming and going the NP walked out and asked me if I had checked in on the kiosk. I had been here an hour by now. I said yes, I'm just waiting to see you. She said well test results take 15 minutes. (So she knew I had already checked in) Finally she calls me in and wants to start with my medications. I told her it should all be in as we just went through that. She said it was her responsibility to determine if it's all correct. So again she asks me questions the tech has already gone through. I've now been here an hour and ten minutes and we have gotten no further? She, the NP says, I'm not sure I can help you if you are not willing to go over your meds. I said, name the med and I will say yes or no if I'm on it. I was mad at this point. After we got through meds she said,"Ok besides bee pollen what else are you allergic to?" I replied that I'm not allergic to bee pollen where did that come from? She took offense and said," Ma'am I'm just reading what is in your record, I didn't write it." I told her I don't care who typed it, it is incorrect and what else may be wrong with my record. She then explained that the tech can not enter or delete meds from the computer, only the NP can. Wow. What a waste of my time. Next she finally looked at my ears and said there was so much wax she couldn't see my eardrum. She told me to buy Debrox and clean the wax out. Negative results on my two tests - isn't that great she asked? Fast forward one week. I am back in north TX and my ears are worse. I went to Texas Health Breeze urgent care. I did all paperwork online before arrival to include my medications. I walked in at 1pm. At 1:30pm I was walking out with a bottle of Augmentin for the fluid behind my eardrum and a suggestion that my allergy meds had stopped working and I should change to another brand. At 1:31pm I swallowed my first pill of my RX!!!!!! That's how it's supposed to work. Shame on CVS Minute Clinic MA 704 and Catherine Cushman, who should have cleaned out my ears so she could then observe my eardrum. I could easily have ruptured my eardrum flying home. And shame on Catherine Cushman NP for making me feel bad for getting angry at the ineptitude I dealt with when I came to your clinic for help.

I didn't know 50mg was a high dose. I have only ever had 10mg, but thought they must know best, so I stayed on it and on day three, my blood pressure dropped like a stone and I had to call 911. I was cleared by the EMTs but it was a scary moment. They told me the dosage was too high for the average person. The moral is to always ask about the medication - if they had checked my MyChart, they would have seen what my typical dosage is for when I get sick. I shouldn't have assumed, but I feel like they are at fault too for not being more thorough. The visit was rushed. I was in and out in 20 minutes!

I was seen right away by a very professional nurse & my vitals were taken & she inquired about the reason for my visit. The doctor sent me in for an X-ray prior to seeing me. Dr McDonald then explained he didn't see any major injury but after questioning me, was concerned about a possible blood clot. He then referred me to the ER to rule out this possibility of a blood clot & further suggested I see an orthopedist for the knee pain From beginning to end the care I received was thorough & professional.
