This place is ginormous. If you're looking for workout equipment, this is the place to go for your at home gym. That's all I could think when I walked in at first. Got a kids bike, and a few pieces of clothing so I'd consider it a score. This place was a tad bit overwhelming with the size. I think the signs could be a little bit more visual. Overall the store is pretty well organized, and clean- didn't notice any strange smells. I was really impressed by the touchscreen to search for furniture in store, I've never seen anything like that before. I'd bet they'd make a killing in donation profits if they made popcorn like a location in Milwaukee does. read more

I really like this store. It is a huge store. It even has a room dedicated to books. A lot of interesting blouses. I did not end up getting any of them. I thought the blouses were a little high at eight dollars. I'll have to see what the other St. Vincent's charge in the area. This is definitely a place. I stop when I come up this way. read more

Good for thrifting, I learned this verb from teenagers. Also good for making donations though they are not always available at posted hours. They charge for some items like TVs that they dont sell but recycle instead. Ample parking. Cleaner, brighter, and better organized than most thrift stores. read more

This has to be the largest SVDP store I've ever been to. Everything was well arranged, but just came on here to give a huge shout out to staff members who are responsible for the Book Nook section. I decided to stop by Vicente de Paul in Pewaukee for cheap apartment stuff yesterday. The prices were crazyyy. They have a chair I wanted there but it was $700, a cute used purse w a little bit of the leather peeling off $25, a cute winter jacket with a small stain $30, some Michael Kors booties that have seen their day $30. My mom wanted a leather jacket it was $40 but then she notified it was stained. They even had an old dusty leather couch that was peeling for like $300 or $400 Like why those prices!? How!? Thats insane. It was like almost no fun to shop. I dont understand why they are selling people's junk for the price of what you can find new. Do they manage to sell it at those prices? That round chair I wanted is about $400 brand new why is it $700 used at the thrift? What a shame. read more

I had a bad experience. I had a small folding futon to donate which I had been using for the past five years in my living room. The top was spotless and I had even carpet cleaned it again in prep for donation after buying a larger one, but there was some tattered "couch underside" fabric at the bottom which covers the bottom frame it flattens on. It's literally a black cheesecloth style fabric that is just for visual cover on the bottom wooden frame. You don't ever see it if the futon is placed against a wall, and the fix would be 10 minutes, a staple gun, and maybe 1.5 yards of discount bin fabric. I never thought it was necessary to fix because the futon was always against a wall and I never saw the rips. So I lifted and strapped this futon to my car's roof rack, only to be immidiately told upon arrival by a rather curt gentleman that they "don't accept futons like that anymore", which was odd because the website said they did. I'm thinking he saw the loose fabric underneath and thought I was donating ruined goods, which is not the case in my opinion. This was my main piece of furniture for years, and I always cleaned it. It was just shady how the donation center helper behaved, and I think they could have offered a better explanation. Maybe just say "sorry, it has rips we cant accept it due to policy" instead of some sort of weird street lie like "oh haha yeah we dont take those bye". Don't even play that crap with me. Sadly I had to return home and toss the futon into a dumpster, which I absolutely hate to do. I recycle a lot and the thought of just tossing furniture into a landfill really does keep me up at night. But that was my only option for my free weekend being that goodwill doesnt accept futons, nor does the consignment shop near me accept them, and the restore is never open when I am free. read more

In the past I was in the antiquing business for eight years, so I've visited very many thrift stores. This store is by far the most well run and organized of all. Even the clothing is sorted and hung by size and color and it is always kept very clean. Volume is high so there is a quick turnover of merchandise, therefore, you can go there often. read more

The store manager, I believe his name is Matt, is the friendliest and kindest human; always cheerful, works hard on the floor, and offers outstanding customer service (he's seen me with my arms full on several occasions and offered to get me a cart, and I frequently see him helping people find items or sections they're looking for). I also shop at the Oconomowoc SVDP and he was a manager there too I believe before getting what I assume is a promotion, well deserved! I wish there were more of him working in the world! The Pewaukee location has SEVERAL great staff I see often and always brighten my day with just being generally pleasant, I need to pay better attention to name tags as they deserve acknowledgment as well- thank you all! Pricing can be hit or miss (I've seen some crazy mark ups for outdated "brands"), and some items out that should have been pulled for QA due to rips/stains; however, I'll continue to come here, as I often find great deals on clothing, shoes, home-goods and jewelry. One of the few thrifts still taking furniture and jewelry (unlike Goodwill). If you're local to the lake country area and have donations, please also consider Lake Country Caring in Hartland; they are volunteer run and offer their items free of charge to those most in need (when it seems a lot of thrifts are going in the direction of CEO profits over people these days) LCC is similar to a food shelf but for non-food items; they are my #1 choice for donations, but this SVDP is my #2 and I'm happy to support them and do lots of shopping for my house and family here. read more

Donation hours on the website were wrong. Showed up in the hours listed on the website and the guy at the donation door told me they were closed. I explained the hours on the website and that I had only a couple of boxes, could he take them. He said no that he had enough to go through yet tonight. His tone was of clear annoyance. I said then tell someone to update the website. He closed and locked the door... Website also says they take furniture which they don't, I've learned from the past. It baffles me that when you ask for FREE items to sell in your store that you are then rude to the people offering to give you the FREE items! Next time I will just put it all in the trash, less aggravation... read more

***BEWARE*** for those of you that follow tag sales this store is refusing to honor them. I made the drive to pewaukee because I messaged them asking when tag colors changed. They clearly answered the 1st and 16th of every month however when I got there they refused to honor there sale..so apparently I was given false information....Do Not Bother with this store they are just full of excuses!!! read more

I actually wound up here by mistake. I'd come for a donation drop-off but had gotten the days mixed up (call ahead). The young man at the back was helpful, professional, efficient, and understanding. He gave me directions to the nearest store, explained the situation, and was extremely polite. Web site says "masks required". Have been there a few times as I am a thrift store junkie. Visited today and lots of people with out masks. Mentioned it to guy checking me out and he says they have no contol over it. Went to talk to supervisor checking people put. She checked out 2 people with her mask hanging off her ear. Not on her face. was told by this woman that it is there policy NOT to require masks (even though the web site says yes). She said "go look we don't have any signs on the door". She was proud of this. Asked her about her mask and was told employees ane not required to wear a mask unless the get close to a customer. She had just checked out people and did not have a mask on as she handed people a receipt less than 3 feet away. This is a dangerous place to shop and suggest you don't. read more

This store now uses tag sales, and didn't use them before because they had just opened. The store is overall very organized and easy to go through, and I usually tend to find something. I love going to this St. Vinnys! read more
