They have partial cans of paint perfect for a feature wall, landscaping bricks to add some flair to your flower bed, fixtures to update your washroom, doors, windows, gutter, tile and even retro console record players. I was delighted to discover they also cleaned up after the Barnum (as in, Barnum & Bailey Circus) estate sale. I missed the auction, but I was able to bring home a piece of Wisconsin history...and support Habitat for Humanity! Before you throw anything away, consider donating to ReStore. Even broken appliances are broken down and recycled for scrap, parts and kept out of landfills. After an afternoon of volunteering, I realize that the store is more than just an awesome place to find deals on building supplies, fixtures, household items and more. The people are wonderful to work with, willing to teach you how to do things you've never done and show you uses for things that you thought did not matter anymore. Everyone here was amazing to work with. They can even accommodate larger groups, so organize a group of friends or coworkers today. What are you waiting for? Help a family in YOUR community move their family into a home...or find something nice to decorate yours and help out at the same time! Fun Fact: Are you remodeling your kitchen? Call ReStore! Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. There are still kind people in the world who will help and not judge you. Family Sharing Food Pantry is a wonderful non-profit organization that helps people, like me, when they need it. I was able to call and ask for the help I needed. When I arrived I felt welcomed by friendly volunteers who chatted with me and my service dog. They were kind and pleasant. I was nervous and very ashamed. Nobody made me feel like a charity case or like I was less human. It was just like going to a grocery store. I walked through with a volunteer and got to make lots of choices about the foods available on the day I arrived. I was given so much food that I sat in my car and cried for 20 minutes before I could drive away. I sang songs of praise and gratitude at home because I didn't have to worry about food for an entire month. The Panty sets out to give each client 2 weeks worth of groceries. However, I received so much that it lasted me an entire month. Every meal I made was something that I thoroughly enjoyed. I even received toiletries and dog food for my service dog. I know there are people out there who need help and shy away from asking for it. I know there are people who are ashamed of going to food pantries. I would not brag that I needed help but I would brag that there were kind, considerate, compassionate people at Family Sharing who helped me without making me feel any less human. I am happy to share this review with those who find it. I hope you will share it with someone who needs it. I used to be a teacher. I used to be a soldier. I used to be a social worker. I worked for the City of Milwaukee. I've worked for the City of Chicago. I've volunteered for the Red Cross and I've helped many people all over the world. I've driven food boxes all over the State when I could. I never thought I'd need help myself. I've seen the effects of hunger on children and the elderly. Don't stand by and let someone you know struggle with hunger. Please take them to the kind of people I found at Family Sharing. If they won't go, find a distribution site that gives out boxes and pick up a box to take to them. You could save someone's life and you might not ever know you did so! Family Sharing also has a resale shop on the property. If you want to support their mission. Shop in the resale shop. Volunteer in the Pantry. You never know, one day, the tide may turn! I certainly never thought it would turn for me. I'm so happy that my karma led me to the wonderful people at Family Sharing. Thank you so very much to the people at Family Sharing. Your kindness is so appreciated. I am humbled by your devotion and dedication. I am grateful that you are here and I am so appreciative of what you do. THANK YOU!

I found that they had been here for over 60 days, so the price was now 25% discounted. Yay for me! As I checked out, I was told that pillows were on consignment from a woman who got them for a new couch but found they didn't do what she had hoped for. So she sold them unused. I believe it, as they were in perfect condition with no smell to them. The pricing here is appropriate, and unlike other consignment shops, the items do not smell old and used. The variety is good, but you have to keep checking in to make sure you don't miss a good item. Things come and go quickly. The rooms are not stuffed full which is nice.

The German Shepherd says he needs some money for home renovations, so the surprised new bank officer asks if he has any collateral. The canine offers up this antique artsy-fartsy thing saying it's worth a lot of money, he got it at On and On Milwaukee for much less than it's actually worth because the prices at this antique store are so reasonable. The lending officer is at a loss, this just wasn't covered in her extensive training so she excuses herself to see the bank manager for advice. She tells him "there's a German Shepherd who can talk who wants money for some renovation work, but all he has to secure it is this vintage thing I don't even know what it is, what should I do?" So the manager tells her, "It's a knick knack Patty Black, give the dog a loan." I'm sorry I don't actually know if they allow dogs in here, talking or not. They do sell all sorts of unusual art and antiques at very reasonable prices and it's right next to a wonderful wine bar and an excellent coffee shop.

The person helping us was friendly and personable, making the visit even more enjoyable.
