Seriously a thrift store I could spend 2 hours in. True, I spend a lot of time in thrift stores. But that means I'm pretty good at giving them a once-over, determining if there's anything worthwhile to look at, and getting out the door in under 20 minutes. Not this Milwaukee St. Vinny's. It's pretty swank from the outside, relatively clean inside, and it has a virtual sea of furniture inside, plus racks and racks of housewares -- from fine china sets to old metal lunch boxes. And you can FIND some stuff here: I sell vintage items on Etsy and left with a few bags full of items to resell. And with the massive furniture selection you could furnish a pretty good-looking living space -- I found a Danish Modern dining set here, a vintage valet chair and several retro bedrooms sets. Oh, and a fancy gas grill. The. most. highly. recommended. thrift. store. I. have. ever. visited.

Three stars is where she'll stay, because I think that's right on. Yes, some things are overpriced. Other things are underpriced. Find your sweet spot, haggle if you must or are into that sort of thing. Like any thrift store, the inventory changes. Boom and bust. Ebb and flow. I stopped by pre-cemetery-ing this past Saturday, and it sure seemed like SVDP was in one of those "bust" phases. ... desolate and drier than the Sahara, but that's not always par for the course; sometimes you find really great stuff on the super cheap, just like anywhere else. It just depends. What you CAN find if you go right now? 5 copies of "Notting Hill" on VHS. (... act fast before someone else takes me up on this hot tip, the holidays are coming!)

would look great in a waiting area

Popcorn was delicious. Big store. Lots of new items and decent prices but middling brands. Friendly cashiers.

Eh, wish I hadn't gone out of my way. Clean, stuff spread out all over. I definitely like Greenfield better.

I wouldn't consider this a thrifting store in the terms of what thrifting means today. When you…read morethink thrift you think consignment/resale/saving the landfill/vintage finds. We walked right in and out of this store. It's more like a section that feels like a rummage sale very small area (and that would be the "thrift" section) and the rest of the store is more like a bargain store. New in the box items at low value. Like items were purchased in bulk from pallets or via some other option. Which that's fine but it's not a proper advertising to put this in the same category as all the other thrift stores. Since the expectation was thrift and not bargain buys (hobo, big lots, family dollar) the rating is based on the category of that makes sense. Now if it was noted as a standard store or bargain/discount space I'd add one star based on what I saw. The store was also very dimly lit and no one greeted us/saw no staff so that added to a quick in and out visit!

Walking into this place is like walking into your grandma's house thats soo cluttered with things…read moreeverywhere and is completely disorganized. I love to thrift but when every shelf and surface is overflowing with things, mostly thrown onto it with no type of order or grouping, I can easily get over stimulated. I'm sure there are great finds but I couldnt even get myself to look. I would say come if you are good at rifling thru piles of things
