My dad did not receive good quality care from this place in my opinion. Encourage your loved ones to go somewhere else!

Kept me waiting for hours and kept demanding a urine sample when I came in for a possible broken toe. Fuck this place.

Upon the endoscopy team coming to get my brother from the ER for his procedure, we were informed…read morehe'd be returned to his room after waking. We left the room to get lunch, and provided the nurses station with my mother's number to contact us when he returned. After no call for an hour, we decided to return to check on the status of things and Kayla, a nurse in the ER on day shift informed us as she was coming out of the door that we weren't aloud back, with no explanation as to why. This came as a surprise because she was the nurse in charge of my brother's care when we left. When seeing me she didn't even inform me of the floor my brother was transferred to. Rich, the charge nurse for day shift in the ER, answered when I used the phone that is in the waiting room to connect with staff. I began to explained that we left a few snacks and a beverage in the room because we'd been informed we'd be able to return. On the second sentence I stated "We also left" and he interrupted my sentence stating "The information given to you about your brother returning was incorrect and that it isn't my fault. The food was thrown away because we needed the room. You should've taken it with you if you wanted it. I have patients to tend to so I won't repeat myself. You need to leave". He immediately hung up the phone after this instead of using that phone call to actively listen, hold his team accountable for giving incorrect information, and inform me of what floor my brother was transfers to. I called again, not to cause trouble, but to simple ask if our clothing, shoes and a charger that were left in the room were thrown away as well because I didn't get the chance to on the first call. This call was ignored by the nursing staff. Security was sent out instead to escort us out and they did not have our clothes, shoes or charger in hand. So we explained the situation to them. After a few minutes of speaking with security, they went to the back and returned with a belongings bag that contained our belongings. Instead of apologizing for his actions when the belongings were returned to us by the security guard, he still did NOTHING to rectify his behavior. If Rich actively listened rather than dismissing us, the confusion could have been solved and he would've recognized immediately that we were simply requesting what wasn't thrown away in the room. We were calm, which didn't seem to matter to Rich because he still treated us as if we were belligerent. We understand the ER can be stressful for employees but this was no way to handle a very sick patients' family who is already in distress and remaining calm when the issue that was caused was due to incorrect information provided by their team. I am the one who recommended brother visit Lakeview for my his symptoms because I believe they do a thorough job. However, after today's experience of a lack of empathy, integrity and effective communication from the ER staff our minds have been forever changed when it comes to this ER.

The first time paramedics came, I was denied service because I had my children with me, and in that moment I felt overwhelmed and afraid. But to the paramedics who came the second time -- thank you for treating me and my babies with such gentleness, kindness, and compassion. I was in so much pain that I couldn't fully express how grateful I was, but please know I truly appreciate you all more than words can explain. To the entire Tulane ER staff -- from the nurses, doctors, administration, and even security -- thank you. You will never fully know how much your patience, grace, and attentiveness meant to me today. Thank you for becoming Spider-Man and other characters for my children, for listening to what probably felt like a thousand nursery rhymes, for the snacks, and for going above and beyond when you absolutely did not have to. Not only did you help comfort and care for my children, but every part of my medical care felt attentive and coordinated. Everyone worked together to make sure patients were seen in a timely manner, and I never once felt ignored. I felt heard every step of the way. Even the hospital itself, including the bathrooms, was clean and well-kept, which did not go unnoticed. Today reminded me that kindness in healthcare changes lives. My 4-year-old told me tonight that he wants to be a doctor one day. During our nightly prayer, while we were saying what we were thankful for, he surprised me and said:"Thank you God for the pretty people that saved my mommy." That touched my heart deeply, because it perfectly describes how we felt today. Nothing you all did went unnoticed. Thank you for the impact you make on people's lives every single day. You are truly appreciated beyond words.

On the first visit, they diagnosed her with a ruptured eardrum but only prescribed codeine -- a medication that wasn't available at any pharmacy within 20 miles. No alternatives were offered. Her pain worsened to the point we had to return to the ER on the day of our flight home. During the second visit, the doctor incorrectly told her she did not have a ruptured eardrum -- despite her having visible blood and fluid draining from her ear the entire trip. She was left crying in a dirty waiting room for hours, was not given a bed, an IV, or any real pain relief until right before we left. The conditions of the hospital were absolutely filthy, with dead flies on the floor and dirty surfaces everywhere. When she got home to Idaho, a real doctor confirmed she had a ruptured eardrum, severe ear infection, and upper respiratory infection -- all things this hospital either missed or ignored. Completely unacceptable patient care. I would never trust this hospital again.

I would fuck this place up something crazy, and about 5 peopl who are Drs. would not be, they had to cheat or something.... of course everything has been f***** up from the beginning 2 hours yesterday with dietary and food services to get my simple God damn meals. I want two milks, two cereals and two protein drinks. nothing else. I don't want any of what you're serving. I can't eat it. maybe it's the greatest thing in the world, but I can't eat it. my stomach can't eat it so, looking back I thought they had it figured out but now that I'm remembering it right this lady pretty much did it all on her own so they got lunch right and then the lady fixed dinner so they screwed up in 3 hours. then this morning breakfast finally rolls around. we're the last people to get. it is close to 10:00 and I get biscuits and gravy. no cereal like I'm supposed to and I get the full damn thing of food. it's going to go to 100% waste. you want to see what the f****** gravy look like. look at this. you tell me you've ever saw gravy like this. this is what I'm supposed to eat. I don't know how much I'm paying but I'm going to call my insurance company when I'm out of here and hopefully we can get together for because they should not pay any more 15%. whatever room is whatever it cost to stay overnight and whatever the nurse's cost they're worth it. the nurses aren't worth it. the nurse in tax are worth it and like transport that guy that did it. the guy that looked in my stomach that was worth it but everything else I wouldn't pay their bills because they haven't accomplished anything and anytime you want something something simple act like a pillow. I took 4 hours the other night to get a god damn pillow. I can finally walk now so I don't have to depend on other people. I'm serious. I'm going to need f****** mental help when I get out of here. I probably ruined in my reputation. I don't give a f*** this place is f***** me up. this place is like God damn wreck. check out how f***** up this is
