So we booked with Tiffany a bachelorette party. Tiffany was fantastic. The spa was very nice. Lea was wonderful (she did my facial). Our bride had a fantastic time. We will book again for sure. The only issue was we were staggered a little (quite a bit apart) apart in our appointments. Needed some relaxing time while visiting PF over the holidays. And I got exactly that at St Somewhere. I used the online booking system and it was super easy. But I had to book my husband under my name since there wasn't a place to change who was getting the service. Not a big deal. As the Island was super busy and parking isn't fun here, we decided to Valet at the hotel. So happy we did this because the spa validated the ticket for us!!! During the registration process we were offered a selection of hot or cold drinks. I chose the Carmel Apple mimosa. Sounded yummy!!! And it was! The best part was the Carmel added to the rim of the glass!!! Loved that they offered multiple sizes of robes. Booked the Margaritaville Signature Facial for 90 minutes. I expected 90 minutes of actual service but I got to the room 5 minutes late and ended 5 early. The esthetician was very good with her hands massaging my face, shoulders and neck. She also spent a lot of time on extractions which surprised me because never had that much extracting before! I didn't end up getting the actual facial I selected because the description stated that this service is finished with deep hydration applied to arms and back. That never happened. I think this time was actually spent giving more massage to face, neck and shoulders. The chill area was very relaxing with an awesome waterwall feature! Loved that and the sound it made added to the relaxation. Liked that the esthetician didn't push the sale of products. Got a couples massage today....it was AMAZING!! The receptionists were so sweet and friendly. And our massage therapists were extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I broke my collarbone years ago, and my therapist discovered that I had a problem in my shoulder on that same side....something I didn't even know about. Good experience today! My husband and I had the couples signature massage. I got Mark, and my husband got John Paul. We both enjoyed our massages. It didn't include the foot soak like it said it includes though. It did however include a foot scrub that was wiped off with hot towels. Which was equally as nice, but threw us off for a bit. Not the very best massage we've had, but definitely not the worst. Pretty good and no complaints really. The locker rooms are very nice and have tons of amenities (toothbrush, tooth paste, mouth wash, deodorant, shaving supplies, hair ties, combs, hair dryers, lotions, body soap, shampoo and conditioner, showers, and lockers.) loved that. The chill room was nice and very calmiing, we didn't feel rushed at all and at home. They said to enjoy some snacks but all we seen were crackers. (We later found out the snacks was in a flip top thing after our massages) They had pepperoni, pepperjack cheese and grapes. The lemon water provided was hot and nasty. They did offer a free drink with the massage. Which I appreciate but we didn't care much for the selection. We were hoping for a margarita since it's owner by margaritaville, but no that wasn't an option. I only have two complaints about this place and the first is the young man checking us in. He made a big deal about mE needing to use the bathroom before my service and insisted I wait a few minutes and he would show me where the bathroom was. A lady was going back there and offered to show me but he said no tHat I could wait. Second complaint is the biggest....they left ours, and other people's drinks out in the open in the chill room unattended and to get hot. We waited 20 minutes in the chill room for our massage and we seen another couples drinks (one a beer/lager) sitting there the entire time getting hot until they finally came out from their massage. Not only were they sItting there getting hot- any customer or employee could walk by and tamper with your drink which is kind of scary and unsafe. Kayla is very knowledgeable and spent a fair amount of time assessing my skin to give personalized recommendations for skin care products. I had a 90 minute massage plus a 15 minute scalp massage with Bethany. HANDS DOWN BEST MASSAGE IVE EVER RECEIVED!!!! The front desk gentleman was very soft spoken and nice. What a nice place! We decided to get massages while we were in town and it was a wonderful way to unwind after a long car ride. I've enjoyed many massages but I had never been to a spa before. There's a big difference in the ambiance. First, I was given a soft, plush robe to wear while I waited. The waiting area was nice, with soft music and a variety of small snack items. Afterward I was able to shower to remove the oils used. The massage itself, was outstanding. My therapist, Marc, took great care of me. The spa was very clean, and soothing environment. We ended up getting 2 couples massages, 2 facials a gentleman's mani and pedi for my husband and I got a hair wash and blow out. Very nice staff and great spa. We have visited spa's all over the US and other countries and I would say this is one of the better ones we have experience in the US. IF you choose to go there for a massage, you might want to make sure to ask NOT to have Nathan or Bethany! Here is why! If you have any ailments and take medication, do not expect them to touch you! A friend of mine along with myself were going to get massages, or so we thought. We had been booked for Gatlinburg, but it was suppose to be in Pigeon Forge, with this said, Lyn at the counter as you walk in was so sweet and was able to get us in there. We had to wait a few minutes, but that was fine with us. She gave us the paper work to fill out, and being that we had a little time we walked across the way to a gift shop since there are so many there at the Island. After looking around for a bit, we walked back over to the spa. Lyn took us back and showed us where to change and then said to wait in the Chill Room. We changed, I came out first and went and sat down. A few moments later in walks Nathan and Bethany (massage therapists), he asked my name, then says we will wait on your friend. Being that I was there last year, it seemed a bit odd that the one that was suppose to have me didn't just go on and take me. So, my friend comes out and Nathan says, come on lets all go talk. He takes us all to this one room, then he starts talking by saying, in looking at your papers, you both have some things in common. He said, seeing that you have both had blood clots and on Xarelto, we can't touch you. I started to talk, he interrupted and continued by saying, I'm not a doctor but I know medicines (he was right when he said he is no doctor, but wrong in the fact that he knows medicines). He went on to say, we can't do the massages unless there is a doctors note, my friend stated she would call her doctor and they could fax something, he interrupted again and still said, not today! Now, Bethany did not have her own voice at all, I was also told later that they were 'friends.' I'm sorry, but that alone says that they both talked about it, but what is worse is he wouldn't let you speak and the fact that Xarelto is used for a few other things. Unless you are a doctor or you are that person, you have no way of knowing their body. He was very unprofessional at best and being that he spoke for both of them, that puts her in the same place. They both must have been either rushing through their schooling or they were just pushed on through, because he doesn't know medicine, so if you choose to go there and happen to get either one of them, good luck. According to Mallory (director/manager), they cannot put anything on their website about certain things because then people will lie. Well, I certainly didn't lie nor would I, because guess what, she pulled my paper work from last year and found that I also put I was on Xarelto!!!! I had a massage then, but now you get two young ones right out of school and you get nothing, then that tells me neither Nathan or Bethany are any good at what they do! After all this and talking with Mallory, she came back to us because she had another therapist there that was willing to do the Swedish Massage without the hot stones. Her name was Dianna, now she didn't have to do this, but she did. I told my friend to have the massage and I would just pass on it since at this point I was so frustrated that it wouldn't do me much good. After Dianna got her in the room and all, she came out to talk with me offering to stay later or even come in earlier the next morning. I told her that I appreciate her offer, but I wasn't going to make her do either one, because it wouldn't be fair to her, it was not her fault. Overall, if you go, you should ask for Dianna, she is awesome at what she does! She has had the real schooling! According to my friend, she was great with the massage. From my stand point she also has people skills. People skills and how you care for your client, those are things that cannot be taught. You either have it or you don't!
