The attendant was helpful when she agreed to rent me a 10x10, but it was for $291 a month. I was under a time crunch and couldn't research the prices. The next day I saw I could rent that same unit for $188. I went to the office and inquired and was told they would price match. I also asked about the First Month Free - that is advertised all over the place. I was told that only applies to certain units on certain days. I went back the following day with price quotes from literally any other storage place for the same size and amenities at $180 a month. A different attendant submitted the price match request. They told me they couldn't give me the first month free because I had already paid. Lots of excuses. I would suggest going to one of the many competitors in the area. The facility is clean and there are plenty of moving carts.

Bigger problem was they are also closed on Sundays. That means I was going to be stuck paying for my $200 a day U-Haul until Monday and then not having my kids here to help me unload the stuff. I didn't get a unit in advance because I wasn't sure of the size I would need and was going to have to decide once we had things to bring back. Long story short...I was a hot mess after the dealings with the wicked one my father was married to anyway. That was the reason we were delayed so long in the first place. Mark was kind enough to open up after hours for me so we could get a unit. If that wasn't enough...he and his son in law jumped right in and helped us unload the truck so we knocked it out in no time. I can't thank Mark and his son in law enough for yesterday! And Canal Road Self Storage is a clean, fantastic place to store your things if you ever need a unit or two. Please go see him!

Debbie, the lady at the front desk, is cheerful and is more than happy to go above and beyond to provide satisfactory assistance. Jim, the owner, is an easy going guy that is extremely friendly and knows how to how to manage property. Also, the company has many U-haul trailers and a company truck that is available for rent. We had such an exceptional experience with the manager who helped us with our first truck rental. They made it easy and were very professional; this was at the onset of Covid-19. The rental was extremely easy, so when we determined we needed another month of storage, it made perfect sense to come back. Once again, Jennifer was super helpful securing the rentals. Hayward was kind and respectful when checking me in; taking me to the truck by golf cart and walking me through how to input the code and up to my very clean unit.
