Still delicious- stopped by after Iris and got slices to go and they were pretty efficient. Went last week for a sit down dinner at the adjacent bar and everything was fantastic. Service was very attentive, I regret not remembering our server's name. The atmosphere is also very nice. We had the pepperoni, fries, wings, and tiramisu. Fries and wings were 10/10. I love the flavors offered, I love the casual feel, I love the huge slices, I love the sliced basil you put on top, I love the quality of cheese you use and most of all I love that you have meaty and vegetarian options and that they are both equally delicious. After hearing great things about the place, I finally was able to try it yesterday. I ordered the margherita (whole pie), same thing Portnoy had on his visit. While I waited, I tried a tomato slice. All I can say is WOW. That tomato slice was easily the best slice of pizza I've ever had in New Orleans. I liked it so much that I went back and ordered another slice. I found the margherita to be good, not great, and had I only ordered it, I probably wouldn't go back. But that tomato slice was so incredible that I'll definitely be back to get it again. AMAZINGGGG! The kale slice is my favorite (i can't remember the actual name of the pizza), but if you don't eat meat I would recommend ordering that one. The margarita was typical, nothing too crazy. I also tried their cookies which i wasn't the biggest fan of but if you like a crispy cookie with darker undertones definitely give it a try. For seating, you have the choice of outside or a nearby wine coffee shop vibe which i thought was cute. And the service is pretty quick when it comes to ordering. Don't get me wrong, the food is very good and it's a nice atmosphere. My main issue with St. Pizza is that it's SO expensive. We had planned on getting slices but you cannot order slices in the Tavern part of the restaurant, only at the walk up counter, so we ordered a half and half. The crust was very good and the pizza was quite delicious. Slightly sweet sauce, which balanced out with the meats. Also it had fresh basil, which was a great addition. The service was great, and I have no complaints about the food. Perfect! I got the margarita pizza and it was awesome. Just a slice. You walk up and order. They cook your slice in the oven and serve it. It was so good! Thin and crispy. Tastes like New York. Even without the water from New York :) It's got some seating outside but it's limited. Just get a slice and eat while walking. That's what I did. I had the best time l this past weekend here! Every thing was excellent. The service was outstanding Mara was our server I hope I'm spelling her name correct. She showed us a bunch of love talked about the menu explained everything and answered all questions we had. The place is real dope aesthetically it reminds me of New York so much! Low lights, smooth music, and the smell of fresh Pizza! The food was out of this world! We started of with the buffalo wings what a pleasant surprise I didn't expect them to be so good! They are Crispy with a nice hint of spice. Only thing I say about them is they are too expensive $16 for 6 wings a is little wild. The Caesar salad was nice as well very citrus forward but it was awesome. We also decided to go with the Chicken Parm, very flavorful the cheese was perfect and the marinara sauce is savory and deeply flavorful. The chicken itself held up great with the cheese and the sauce cook perfect, nicely salted and very tender. The Pizza was out of this world we ordered 2. The Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza was so good I can still that's it. Verycrispy crust but still had pillowy dough, the sauce was banging, and the pepperoni & sausages were salty and full of flavor. The pizza had the perfect balance. The Upside Down Pie was perfect as well sauce on top cheese at the bottom really cool because you could get to the yummy sauce first just amazing! How quickly this place has risen to one of our all time favorites in the City. The food stands on its own but the compassion of the owners and the willingness of the staff to make sure you have a great experience is palpable. As a displaced North-easterner I have struggled to find that NYC or CT pie here for many years. FINALLY we NOLA is stepping up its pizza game and Saint is at the pinnacle of this trend. Bravo. Hard to even tell anyone which one to start with because they are all so good - but do yourself a favor and don't ignore the "tomato (sauce) pie" (a pizza without mozzarella). But let me tell you about the time I accidentally enrolled in a master class on "How to Not Get Pizza at a Pizza Restaurant." Three Saturdays ago at 6:30 PM, I innocently approached the hostess and asked for a table for three. She announced a 25-30 minute wait with the gravitas of someone delivering a weather forecast. Being a problem-solver (and frankly, pizza-obsessed), I asked if I should just order ahead so my pizza would be ready when seated. She informed me I could order now and eat at the counter, or wander over to Patron Saint next door like some pizza-seeking nomad. But no--she confidently assured me the best option was to wait. So we waited. And waited. Like fools. Like beautiful, trusting fools. Thirty minutes later, she approached with news: we were almost seated, BUT--plot twist--they might only have two small pizzas available. Or possibly none. They'd "run out of pizzas." At the pizza restaurant. During dinner rush. On a Saturday. I stood there, stunned, trying to process how she'd watched me specifically ask "how do I ensure I get pizza" and then let me marinate in the waiting area for half an hour before casually mentioning "oh yeah, pizza might not be a thing tonight, lol." Look, I'd sensed some attitude on previous visits, but this confirmed it: customer service here is about as warm as their ovens are hot. Sure, they've got New York Times reviews and Barstool Sports accolades hanging around like participation trophies, but there are plenty of other phenomenal pizza places in this city where the staff actually wants you to, you know, eat pizza. read more

The tavern gives a speakeasy vibe with minimal tables. Service is quick and bartender is great. The pepperoni pizza is a delightful classic. Best pizza I've had in New Orleans thus far! I decided to grab lunch on a whim, and I got the sausage and green pies slices. The sausage was amazing! Thin, crispy crust matched the perfect cheese to sauce ratio, and the sausage was seasoned so well! It was the perfect size. I'm saving the green pie for tomorrow, but I'm sure it will be great. It reminds me of New York style, and the location is easily accessible and so cute! Ashley was my cashier, and she was so nice and very helpful with her suggestions. If you look at my reviews, I do spend a decent amount of time reviewing pizza. I got my first job at 9 years old, folding pizza boxes and sweeping back in Brooklyn. Pizza is just something that's important to me. This is some top tier great pizza. I think I may like it better than L'industrie in NYC. The crust was perfect and sauce makes it or breaks it for me when it comes to pizza and I loved the sauce; not as much as L&B's sauce, but close (and yes, I'm gonna name drop pizzerias because why not). With O4W's pizza being downright terrible at the moment, I'm of the belief that St. Pizza is the best pizza in the south. I actually want to go back to NOLA just for this. A lot of the other reviews you see here are giving St. Pizza 3 stars, but they will say that the pizza is great, they just have a hard time with the price. While in NOLA, I tried Willie's (because it was there, not because I heard anything great about it) and that was $8/slice and Pizza Boss inside of Caesars (was hungry between gaming sessions) and that was $6.50 for a cheese slice and $7.50 for a topped slice. Now both these places cater to tourists; Willie's caters to the drunk Bourbon Street crowd that'll eat anything and Pizza Boss is for the degenerate gamblers like myself, so yeah, they can con people out of their money. Those slices aren't worth their price other than when you're drunk or you're trying to ease the pain of some bad luck (I actually had good luck at Caesars, I just literally try pizza whenever I can). But the plain cheese slice at St. Pizza is well worth $5. It's not that far off in price from a single slice at a neighborhood pizzeria, and St. Pizza is cheaper, I believe, than Di Fara (which is so overrated). Granted, you probably aren't expecting NYC prices in NOLA, but again, it's well worth the $5. And the bianca? That s--t was amazing. Best white slice I've had in ages. If price (which has a subjective side to it) was eliminated from the rating equation, I think you'd see a lot more reviewers say that it's some of the best pizza they've had ever. read more

Ok so Im a New York pizza and bagel snob - and yes the water used in the dough is definitely a contributing factor for a successful pie. My threefactorsnin rating a pie are: 1. Hit or miss! We visited about two weeks ago and really enjoyed the pizza. It was so good, I prompted us to go back again this weekend. We ate in the tavern this time, which is cute and gives good date night vibes. The service was good. The food was not. The caesar salad was SO bland. The dressing was so watered down it tasted like nothing and basically pooled at the bottom of the bowl. The pizza came with a chili oil on top (we like spicy food and the honey chili drizzle was excellent last time) but there was SO MUCH of it that you couldn't taste the pizza and/or there wasn't enough flavor in the pizza itself to stand up to that much chili. The dough at least had a nice consistency and seemed properly cooked (not burnt as I saw on some other reviews). The chocolate chip cookie that comes in at about 5$ intrigued me so much last time I had to try it this time. It was okay! Overall, I'm sad to report that my second trip was disappointing! The only down side is the day we went (3:30pm), the inside dining room didn't open until 5pm which left us to sit on a wobbly outdoor wrought iron table for two people. Although the weather was nice, if the table was taken we would've eaten standing up. There's no side salad option, only huge 2/3 person salads. This visit was just okay.
