Every deadline was met as far as time frame to turn over materials to be produced it just seemed like they dropped the ball. I know Hendersons have been in business for years and have done great work in the past but this experience has left a bitter taste with my family and we will not be using them again. It's hard enough losing a loved one, but then having to make arrangements can seem daunting. At least here they make the process as easy as possible for the family. They took everything into consideration, and went above and beyond to make everything leading up to the burial as smooth as possible. I'm grateful, my family is too.

At first, I was apprehensive about writing a Yelp review for a Funeral Home since you often find…read morepeople complaining about the pettiest things on Yelp. However, I believe that the services provided by Hafey Funeral Service merit a positive review as I never experienced anything negative with them. Brian at Hafey Funeral Service is a wonderful man to have by your side when planning your loved one's funeral. As well as personally receiving great service for my loved one provided by Brian and his staff, I have also witness great things from Hafey during funeral services of close family friends. I was not disappointed by Brian as the fee for his service is very affordable and he is not pushy as to persuade you into getting the premium package because everything he does IS the premium package. He is very professional, empathic, and comforting; which are GREAT qualities of a top notch funeral director who can be entrusted with carrying out your loved one's funeral. He even take care of the slightest things that are often overlooked. Additionally, he is wonderful at understanding funeral rites of various cultures and he has the space within his funeral home in order to carry out such rite. I remember being at a Catholic Mass at one wake and then being at a Buddhist prayer ceremony for a close friend's grandmother at a different wake. The space in the viewing room of the funeral home is very versatile and can be accommodated to fit any cultural need. In addition to having the space, Hafey also has the material to carry out a certain culture's funeral rite. In particular, I remember Hafey providing a large incense urn since it is common practice to use incense to pray for the deceased in Asian cultures. Furthermore, Brian will go out if his way to make sure everything is perfect because he understands that this is the time for the family to grieve and he doesn't want to them to feel added stress. Hafey Funeral Service is the ONLY place in Springfield I would recommend to plan a funeral because I can entrust everything to Brian and he will have it done!

She suggested City Cremation. I called them and with a calm, confident voice they said the words I needed to hear. "Don't worry we have you covered." And they did. When I went to the office, Chris explained how to write an obituary and how he would get the death certificates. He set up a website for friends and family to write and send in pictures All worked smoothly and I don't regret for a moment that I chose them. The price is under $2000. Gold star value at a reasonable price.
