I learned what it meant to have virtue. The teachers are the best people you will ever meet. Their joy and wonder for life and learning inspires me to this day. However, this school is not for the weak of heart. It takes grit and determination to do well with their classical education. But if you commit, you will learn what it truly means to be human. My love for learning flourished as did my love for the world around me. I will send my kids here one day. And hopefully be apart of the Golden View family forever.

I however had my fair of triumph and failure at Arvada West, and can still say that it was a great place to attend school. I felt that Arvada West really worked well on all fronts. Excluding minorities, it had people of all economic backgrounds, so no one was alienated based on their economic status. They worked well with kids ahead of and behind the curve. They stayed focused yet still offered a way to enjoy. I no longer know the administration, but I can honestly say if they are as committed to excellence now as they were then, it is a great place to send students. Sports teams are both fun and competitive, great Choir program, great student body.

But as the years went bye I have come to really adore fossil. I also did swim on the guys swim team all four years, and that really helped me make friends. But I'm also happy I had a lot of non swimming friends the same. People seem to get along pretty well at fossil. I'll miss it for sure.

Ok this review is about the way the High School volleyball coach seems to categorize everything on…read morethe volleyball court under 1 umbrella... therefore the coach can allow what she deems fit and not really training or teaching how to be a better player/person on the court or how to even play as a team.....the team has to practice and play together, if the coach really wants them to learn. I understand that there is a rule if you do not attend practice they can not play, well I guess the rules only apply to those they claimed to have called or let the coach know they will not be at practice but they sure do get to play. However we would have to pull phone records or messaging to see if the Coach is lying or not being honest. The coach has her favorite students to play she has no problem doing that at all. I know they have input these rules about your child is not guaranteed to play this is called CYA cover your ass..... all the girls are playing but 2 of them sit on the bench now I'm not sure how this Coach is giving the athletes improvement and performance skills when they are not allowed to play together as a team..... Hum Hum P.S If you want to talk to the coach or Athletic director supposedly you have a chain of command to follow at a school really!!!!! Slow going....

While attending Thornton, the teachers always offered amazing support and we're always there for the students. It was obvious that every one was there because they loved their job. Honestly, this applies to all the staff at Thornton. All of the counselor at THS were/are amazing at helping the students with everything from college to stress to social problems. The office staff is fun and incredibly helpful. Even the librarians are incredibly amazing. I attended THS while Principal Skrobela was/is in office and she is so amazing with the students and staff alike. This school has so much spirt too. It's hard to no get involved with something on campus. The food is pretty good too!! Many of the clubs use the food at the school as a part of thief club, so this school does offer some pretty good food. The community at THS is alike no other. This school is so diverse that students are able to learn more than just the syllabus, but everyone is faced with life. Everyone walks out of THS knowing how to deal with the community and the life ahead of them. Tons of clubs are offered at THS and there is something for everyone to do. It is super easy to get involved at this school and the community as a whole is incredibly supportive of everyone. In addition to all of this, the honors program offered at THS is this International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This is an amazing program that can help bump students ahead in life and can help students receive college credits. If a student doesn't want to go with the IB path, THS is also conveniently located right next to the Bollman Technical Center where students can take classes that are offered to help with real world applications (such as medical field classes, graphic design, movie production, car classes, etc). THS also has a great program for special needs. Many clubs and students are in programs to work and integrate everyone in the community. These programs are super fun and they definitely help to make everyone feel welcome. THS is just an amazing school and my high school couldn't have gone any better.
