"Them South Side sisters sure look pretty
The cripple on the corner cries out "nickels for your pity"
And them downtown boys they sure talk gritty
It's so hard to be a Saint in the city"
(Bruce Springsteen)
The best things about our visit to the St. Paul's Thrift Shop were the two women who greeted us, shared info on today's specials, and were just plain delightful hosts.
The store was on the smaller side, but was neatly stocked with Men's, Women's, and Children's clothing, shoes, handbags, backpacks, home goods, housewares, toys, jewelry, puzzles, books, and record albums. All were very low priced.
I came close to buying a tan suit for $7, but thought the jacket was just a teense too big on me. My wife bought a pretty pink blouse for a paltry $1.50.
