The owner, Corina, is, apparently, there most days, is friendly, and seems very engaged with her shop & customers. She has a fair process to sell your items & explained it all in detail. We started by visiting the bird and reptile sanctuary, which was both really sad but also really nice. The folks working there were friendly and informative. We also enjoyed visiting the goats outside. The book geodesic dome is very cool, and the tchotcke camper was fun to poke around in. Very sad we didn't have time for the Christmas airstream. Inside there is a case, which was closed by the time we got to it. Another reason we should have arrived earlier. It's next to an old books room, which I loved. I just want to sit in there and read. The mounted stuffed animal heads were a nice touch. The lower level also has a huge amount of stuff, but it's super well organized. I wish, when I was young and moved into my first apartment, I could have gone to a place like this to get all of my home furnishing and kitchen things. Upstairs is more like a traditional thrift store with clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, etc. Everything here is so inexpensive!! I bought five books, two shirts, a pair of earrings, and two greeting cards for $24. I would have bought waaaaaay more stuff if I had time to browse longer and more thoroughly. The only other warning I have aside from the amount of time this place needs in order to fully experience it is that it is rather dusty inside. When I go back--and I will--I will take an allergy pill or wear a mask. Can't recommend this amazing and unique place enough!

I received a nasty call last week after my drop off informing me that I needed to hand all items. I had never hung an item in the last three months. Today, during drop off the woman was so nasty when asking about getting my items back that aren't cons considerable she blatantly said don't leave him. With that being said, I did not leave them and I walked out. This was the same individual that I received a call from last week.

I ordered a desktop in color brown which when it arrived, I did not like the color. I wanted to exchange it for black and they wouldn't take it back because brown is what I ordered! No resolution made and they don't care anymore like they did in the store. At least in the store, you can see it and decide that it's not what you want. Apparently that is no longer allowed.

However, I noticed a sick/injured bird in the parking lot on the way in, and I wanted to help. I knew it was a long shot, but after some failed Google attempts, I asked the cashier if she knew of any nearby wildlife rescues. She and two others helped me to investigate, gave me a box for the bird (with air holes), and all showed the same concern that I had. Sadly, the bird passed away on the way to the rescue, but I'd like to give the employees five stars for the non-traditional customer service and for being wonderful human beings. It's nice to know there are still kind, compassionate people out there. Thanks again! Note for any senior managers who may be reading this: The store was nearly empty at this time (I may even have been the only customer there), so the help I received did not affect these employees' normal duties in any way.
