My favourite was the corn beef with cheese, everything on it heated under a cast iron press. Oh my GOD, it was my heaven! After 45 years passed by and I had to look it up as my all'time best sandwiches. It was expensive, yes, was $8, not bad today's standards but back then was a hefty price. I've been coming here since the early '80s -- my dad introduced me to this place when I was a kid, and I've never eaten anything else from here except their famous Wedge -- a pastrami con todo (pastrami with everything). This place has been serving Yonkers residents for over 50 years, and the friendly staff really makes you feel like part of the family. I love this place, my children love this place, and my wife would kill me if she ever found out I came here and didn't bring her a sandwich or share one! Even my sister-in-law, who follows a strict gluten-free diet, sacrifices her usual routine just to enjoy one of these sandwiches. Best sandwich spot in Yonkers, hands down.
