I picked up a free-to-me copy of the newspaper in the hotel lobby this morning and had the opportunity to browse it while enjoying coffee at the most wonderful coffee shop in Clayton, Kaldi's. Local, regional and national news in this paper. Saint Louis is deep into sports so there is high school, university and national sports coverage which I was able to skip over. My favorite section is, of course, the comics section and they do have nice offering here. A bonus star for that. The paper was easy to read, quality newsprint and I did not have ink on my fingers afterwards. For that and the comics, five stars! [Review 420 of 2026 - 504 in Missouri - 25603 overall] read more

St Louis Post Dispatch - St Louis Post Dispatch cover - Print Media Near Me - Saint Louis, Missouri

What a scam. I tried out the on line version and after a few days cancelled. To my surprise it automatically re-subscribed today when I saw a credit card charge. After talking to a customer service rep who spent more time telling me how great it was instead of taking care of my issue. He finally told me he would cancel it but that I still owed for the charge What a load of crap read more

Amazing what a letter to the Better Business Bureau and a Yelp review can do to change a business's attitude. The issue I had with access to the site has been resolved, and I am happy to be reading my hometown paper again. read more

Should be a zero review. Worse billing and customer service. Yesterday I asked to be transferred to someone to help me ten times! The guy won't do it. Today, I have to ask ten times to take my credit card info out of my account because of the billing is messed up. I shouldn't have to ask for anything 10 times to get anything done. read more

The most frustrating company I've ever had to deal with. I cancelled my online subscription a few weeks ago. Ever since, I've been getting 5-8 phone calls from them every darn day trying to get me to resubscribe. People, don't EVER deal with this paper. They are the worst, most irritating, company in the entire world. read more

If I could give something less than 1 I would. We have not received a paper 4 out of the last 5 days. The call center is useless. They just keep saying they will credit our account but the problem is not solved. I said I wanted to talk to a supervisor and they would not transfer me. We started calling other editor's phone numbers and I even called the publisher. If it was up to me I would cancel right now! read more

I wanted to check out what their puzzles were. they had an introductory offer of $1 for 3 months. I signed up, and then it wouldn't let me sign in to see the content. I tried going to the accounts area. It required a sign-in despite the fact that it said I WAS signed in in the upper right-hand corner. I need to figure out a way to cancel before the ridiculous $19.99/month rate kicks in. I was a subscriber long ago and I'd forgotten that this sort of hassle is their MO...and that's not for "Missouri". I haven't figured out whether they are simply too inept to run a website or inherently sneaky and underhanded, but stay away if it isn't too late. read more

What a Train Wreck! The once-respected Post-Dispatch has reached an All-Time low ... Customer "Service" is non-existent ... home-deliveries get later-and-later ... the call center is staffed (barely) with poorly-trained, rude phone reps who have no answers to simple questions such as "Where is my newspaper and when will it be delivered?" Today's paper arrived at 6:30 a.m. delivered by a (very polite) substitute driver covering for the regular carrier because "he had a flat tire". Have they never heard of the phrase "Spare Tire" And when the paper is late or not delivered at all, the retort is always the same ... "You can still access the digital version". I did not subscribe to the newsPAPER in order to squint at my cell phone's screen. The billing system is a mess ... it's practically impossible to ever get a bill (paper or email). When and how can a subscriber (one of the few remaining subscribers) know how much to pay and when to pay it? It is impossible to reach anybody in P-D's management area. Maybe it's time to throw-in-the-towel ... "they shoot horses, don't they" read more

For the last two Sundays, I have not received delivery of the print edition of the Sunday edition of the St. Louis Post Dispatch as well as the print edition of the Sunday New York Times which uses the same delivery person. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? read more

Gosh I had the hardest time unsubscribing. it was very difficult, i just wanted to read one article and i had to subscribe and then cancelling was a big challenge. finding the cancellation process made me search desperately for a way to write this review. I couldn't write a google review for some reason so here it goes on Yelp. I will do everything i can to tell everyone what a bad experience this was and how i resented their efforts to stop me from cancelling. Thank you. read more

On April the 20th I sent in a check for a year subscription of the Sunday only addition. The check was FINALLY cashed on May 16th. I called the Post & they said my 1st paper would be delivered on May the 25th. Ok now hold on tight. Yelp no paper. Called & was told they would credit me & my subscription would start June 1st. Well SSDD on June the 8th, (more credit) & June the 15th still more credit. Took a month to cash the check they initially could not locate & so far a month of NO PAPER & no way to contact ANYONE on this side of the ocean. Great job security. read more

I have lived at and have been getting the Post Distach delievered to my address for over 28 yearsm - 7 days a week. I have had the same phone number for 28 years. THE POST DISPATCH CAN NOT FIND ME, by address, phone number or name. I have paid continually for that period of time. I can not set up an e-edition if the Post Dispatch has no record of me. How do I get help? I have talked to customer service and also did a live chat. No one can find me. Where is my money going for over 28 years and how am I getting a daily paper if the Post Dispatch has no record of me? read more

what an absolute joke! I paid for one article August of 2024. all of a sudden March of 2025 I start seeing charges on my bank statement for a "subscription" to stl post dispatch. something I NEVER authorized. trying to talk to customer service is a joke. they said in the terms, it quite literally says they can change your rate at any time. uhh what? I paid one time for one article!! and you're magically gonna "turn" mine into a monthly subscription?? bogus!!! read more

Your paper keeps getting shorter on contents. When you guys eliminated the everyday section and put it in the main page or the sports page I consider that to be the last draw. Why don't you just quit. Totally missed off customer If I could have rated u guys lower-5 sounds good read more

I subscribed to the digital service. Before the 30 day period (I think it was 11 days before the expiration), I got charged. I contacted to cancel, and I was told I had to answer why I was canceling. Huh?? Why do I have to give a reason? Then, I asked for a refund, but they said, no, because it was stated in their policy. Apparently, you have to contact them WITHIN 10 days since you start subscription to cancel the subscription, despite the fact their website proudly states "Subscribe $0.99 for 1 month". But in reality, it is only $0.99 for 10 days. This is a false advertisement. I take a pity on dying business and their workers that have to squeeze everything out to survive, but frankly, it is counter productive. They seems to have stellar reputations and it isn't too difficult to understand why. And also, it could be cheaper to just give a refund, instead of their laborer spending time in communicating me or refuting what I submitted to BBB. I am writing to the Office of the Attorney General. read more

After cancelling, they still charged our credit card for another month. Customer service was rude and unhelpful

No response to emails concerning newspaper delivery problems. And calling customer service 4 times and explaining the problem doesn't get you anywhere either. I guess they know there are only a few options for seniors who don't drive to get the newspaper so you have no choice but to just accept the fact that it is what it is and deal with it :(. read more

RIP Stl Post Dispatch.......I have so many notifications cascading on my phone, both local and world wide, that by the time I look at Stl P-D Online, it's history. To their credit, P-D emailed a reminder to me that my special intro rate was ending on Mar 15. Since I hardly ever clicked it on and actually perused it like a newspaper, I had already decided to cancel. So, on Wednesday I went online to cancel. Not surprising, the option to cancel is well hidden. After inputting all information, I got the message that my account couldn't be found. I tried on Thurs - same result. So today on Friday I called the number provided - long wait - but finally a human voice (though clearly out-sourced over seas). His message: So sorry, but P-D is experiencing technical difficulties and I won't be able to help you over the phone, please try again online on Monday! Good Grief. It's sad seeing the demise of daily newspapers. I grew up reading the Globe-Democrat every morning (yes I'm older than dirt), and as a kid I was always fascinated by the ad which always followed the sports section: "Evelyn West and her $50,000 pleasure Chest, (as insured my Lloyds of London), performing nightly at the Stardust in St Louis!" read more

I paid for daily deliveries and they never showed up even once. Just pathetic service.

First let me say that I LOVE the printed word. Truly. I used to work at a printing company and I love to go to Barnes and Noble and buy books. Would much rather hold a book or newspaper in my hand over a tablet any day of the week. That being said, I also like to save money so in March when I saw that the Post was hosting an event with a coupon clipper and that we were going to learn to save money and get a deal for the Post I was thrilled. The seminar was informative and the woman hosting it talked me into ordering 2 Sunday papers every Sunday so I could get more coupons and she stated that she had a deal for us. I was so excited. The seminar was in April (I think) and I waited for my papers to arrive. Nothing. I assumed that it would take a bit so I waited and on 5/18 money was taken from my account. So I waited a little more but when no paper arrived and COVID was in full swing I decided that I may not be able to go into the store and use said coupons so no harm, no foul....I will cancel the paper. So I called the Post and was told to wait a little longer. That the papers would arrive that weekend and that they were sorry. On 6/11 - still no papers and more money out of my account. I called again agitated and told them to cancel me. They tried to get me to stay and said that maybe I would want the digital version. Nope....just please cancel me. On 7/13 MORE money was again taken out of my account. I called AGAIN and was AGAIN asked if I was SURE I wanted to cancel. I mentioned that I had still not seen one post-dispatch and that yes I did. I was told that they were truly sorry and that I would be credited back the money that I had paid. On 8/11 money was taken out again. I called immediately and was VERY angry. I was so angry they didn't even try to convince me to get the digital service. And told "sorry - it will all be credited back immediately". On 9/1 I rec'd a credit of $8.68. At this point I was owed an additional $26.04. I called again at the beginning of October and was told that the rest would be coming. Today is 11/17 I am still owed $26.04 and I sent my request in writing. Their response came quickly.... In reviewing your account we see that you had never reported any missed deliveries or issues with your delivery. In accordance with company policy we can only refund 2 months of payments on subscriber accounts, which we did on 8/26/20. WTH?!?! First of all I called MULTIPLE times and was told my credit was coming and I was getting 2 Sunday posts a week so actually if they even stick to their own rules they still owe me another week. This is HORRIBLE service. If I could give them no stars I would. I wouldn't recommend the Post Dispatch if my life depended on it. read more

Delivery deserves worse than one star: negative 5 stars. Since mid May, 2022, we have had frequent non-delivery of the paper. Redelivery never occurs. They extend the subscription but that is all. They are 5 star at increasing their rates. I would not recommend anyone get home delivery of the Post Dispatch thru the St Louis Post Dispatch. They recently stopped having the office open on weekends. I wish there were other alternatives for delivery. Just pick up the paper at the store. University City, MO read more

This newspaper is crap. I wouldn't wrap garbage in it. Trying to get a refund took me two days. They took $59.50 out of my checking account and I have to wait for a check in 3 to 4 weeks to get the money back. Who runs this paper??? read more

These people are a nightmare. I keep getting renewal notices from them even though we haven't gotten a paper in a good 6 months. I am 100% confident the STL Post Dispatch is not capable of providing service to paying customers. I've had a Sunday paper subscription for a month and have not received a single paper. I have unsubscribed from the paper for a number of reasons. I posted a review last week because customer service was so bad. This is the second week since I started my subscription to the post for Sunday's only and again this week NO PAPER was delivered. I called customer service and got the automated messages telling me that they would send out a paper but since that never happened last week I wasn't hopeful at all that they would get me my paper for the service I've paid for. Sent them an email asking for a refund I don't need this aggravation. read more

Their delivery is a joke! They charge a lot of money and then never deliver the paper on time if at all. We have had a subscription for 10 days and have not received a paper for at least 3 days and 5 days the paper came between 8-9 which is ridicoulous as their website says it will be delivered before 6 am on weekdays and 7 on weekends. Every time I call to complain I am on hold for 30 minutes and all they say is we will credit your account. Do not get the paper unless you enjoy going being frustrated everyday! read more

The communication between distribution and customer service is strained, as well as communication between customer service reps and supervisors. Scheduling redeliveries resulted in no deliveries. They are stealing from long time customers. Senior citizens that aren't able to go get a paper all the time. Charging them for deliveries that do not occur. Calling them telling them their subscription has expired because they didn't pay their bill, when they did. Non delivery, non customer service, non compassion. Need I go on. They're accounting is skew, taking from those who are standing customers and giving new customers an outstanding deal. The We don't care attitude is overwhelming through calls and emails that family has tried to help with. This is appalling behavior for a company that once was something good in the community. read more
