Dear 105.7 While i tended to listen to you more then i do other stations i need to write about what i have heard lately that has me a slight pissed off. Your whole "no fat chicks" schtick has me a tinge pissed off because i'm no stick person and it does annoy me you tend to make fun of those whom aren't twiggy. So, for that i have decided to not listen much anymore because why should i invest time with a radio station that so puts down others. So, to you point i don't salute you. Woody and Rizzuto are two of the most annoying and lame radio personalities I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. So I don't. Every so often, as I am flipping around in the morning, I stop on the Point because they are playing a decent song. But as soon as those two windbags open their flappers, I switch it off. They are hateful and offensive. Which would be all good if they were also funny but they miss this mark pretty much 100% of the time. read more

I've been listening to 105.7 since I was about 13, and I've yet to find a station I like more. Any station that still plays all my favorite 90s music (Steve Ewing, I'm talkin' about you) kicks ass. I've moved around a bit, and was out of the loop for a few years, but I'm back, listening to the stream on-line... and I love that I can still hear Donnie Fandango, Jeff & Thom... and, drumroll please, WOODY is back. Hell. Yes. I was a faithful on-line listener of The Woody Show when they were at LIVE105, and now that he's back on The Point, my mornings can once again be complete. And for all the Woody haters out there... and you know who you are... the chicks that can't take a joke and have no personality? (just being honest ladies, now you'll probably hate on me, too)... I have to agree with Karen C., I've been listening to the Point since it came onto the scene in my adolescence and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for it. I'm a huge fan of everything about live broadcast, even the commercials, which I'm THRILLED to be hearing so many more local businesses featured these days! It's been awesome to watch (listen to?) this station evolve and begin to utilize the insane amount of technology available for a giant media staple to connect with individuals in their audience. Their personalities are great. I had a broadcast crush on Donnie in my teenage years and I can still remember when he was on primetime evenings! And think what you will about Woody & Rizzuto in the morning, the fact is they've done exactly what I'm sure they were hired to do, and that is garner ridiculously high ratings. I find myself even talking about the crazy spots they have on their show, such as "Will It Flush?" because apparently, deep inside even the most feminine of us all, can lie the heart of a 12 year old boy.. And of course, this whole station ultimately comes back to the music. I love even the pop alternative music played (don't lie, you sing along to AT LEAST 3 Nickelback songs when they come on, too!) and am a devoted and tireless fan of 90's grunge which the aforementioned Donnie is a master of mixing perfectly for me from 10a-2p! Overall a WIN and my first broadcast love! (And if I play my cards right..maybe someday they'll hire me..?) read more

Despite having many options available for music The Point will always be one of my top go to stations. I have been with the Point as long as I can remember. Over the years the station itself has evolved to stay relevant with the changing trends in music, however the Point still remembers its roots and they still focus on some of the classics with a fine balance or modern rock and alternative. Yes, it is hard to believe that the Point introduced us to some great artists since their inception. However they also introduced us to some great local bands like The Urge, Gravity Kills, Fragile Porcelain Mice, Ludo, Modern Day Zero and even Story of the Year, many of which of which went on to gain attention on a national level. Over the years The Point has had some memorable personalities, in fact many of them are still with the station after many years. Yes, the station played home to legendary shock jock Howard Stern, before he moved on to Sirius Satellite Radio. However I feel that The Point has more experience with local morning talk and music, and currently The Rizzuto Show manages to keep mornings fresh with the perfect balance of morning talk and great music. For those that are interested in local rock and alternative music, be sure to check out The Local Show every Sunday from 9-10pm. Who knows you might hear the next big band to come out of Saint Louis! Overall after 20+ years The Point has managed to stay relevant and fresh while catering to a unique and demanding crowd. I fully expect them to be around for another 20+. read more

I used to listen to the Point but became absolutely intolerant to the sexist, homophobic content featured during the morning and afternoon shows. I have no idea what the DJs names are and could case less. One of the only good elements associated with the Point was Les Aaron...not sure if he's even affiliated with them anymore. Most of the music they play tends to be shite, but the primary reason I boycotted was because of the ignorant content. Don't get me wrong...they had some silly skits that did not consist of hateful material...ie How Much for that Craigslist Whore... priceless. It has nothing to do with not being able to take a joke. It's hateful speech, and it's completely unnecessary. read more

I had never been to a radio station before, so this was definitely a treat! We were shown around the entire building and introduced to virtually everyone working. We were also given about an hour Q & A conference with several of the people in charge...one who had been working there since 1967! We learned about their daily grind and they inquired about ours. Because our jobs so closely coincide, one of the talk show hosts offered to let us drop by to both watch/participate in one of his shows! Overall, it was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to take him up on his offer! read more

While living in Milwaukee, I had Bob & Brian. Chicago brought me Drex, and now that I'm in St. Louis, I've found my morning radio show that is just as insulting, dirty, and hilarious as my other lovers - Woody and Rizzuto! Some of my favorite portions of the show are: Headline Hoosie, Bitch Be Trippin, and Will It Flush. LOVE listening to these guys in the morning! read more
