even tho high school was the worst time of my life i felt that some of the classes and teachers…read morewere pretty good.

This is the worst school district ever. They tend to the needs of white children and yes I'm taking…read moreit there. A bunch of black kids in a school system where NONE of the staff look like them and CAN NOT RELATE. Rules the principle and vice principal come up with for Memorial High School are unreal. How do you suspend a kid for lates , then on top of that suspend a kid for what their parent told them to do? They don't care about our black kids in this district from the police to the schools they all work together. They call your phone and put false absences and lates on your children it's disgusting. They don't care about our black children , they don't want them to succeed. Don't move over here , don't send your kids to school over here if you not WHITE ! And they know all these black kids come from that one area of ELMWOOD VILLAGE APARTMENTS, low income struggling families and they could care less . It really makes me upset because they don't talk to these kids suspending a kid from school for two days after being home for 2 years over a late is disgusting. Like I said these rules were implemented for children who have to help their parents after school with siblings , for children who have to help their parents before school, for a child who probably don't have clean clothes and is embarrassed, like they just don't ask and don't care it's just NO SUSPENSION .. black ppl stay out

I must admit, it has been quite a few years since I was 3 years old and attended Pre School &…read moreKindergarten... but here goes: *Note* this review is for the Pre-School ONLY* I came to the US when I was three. My parents didn't speak English, and my mom put me in Nursery School for a few hours/day to 'socialize' me since I was an only child (back then, awww, the good ol' days. KIDDING!) I have fond memories of this place as a kidlet.... Miss Olga and Miss Anita were our 'teachers' and even though I was the only non-English speaking kid (for, it seemed, miles around,) they were so patient with me.. imagine! me! not even able to ask if I could go to the bathroom without bursting into tears. Come to think of it, I don't even remember being inside, as we all usually played outside in the big playground- one scary memory is of me hitting my head on the Big Stone Turtle (which I think has since been removed) and ending up getting an Xray. (The scariest part was the xray, not hitting my head!) Five stars for happy memories of finger painting, dressing up in my little kimono for international day, playing on the swings (their swings were the *best*)! (My little bro went here, too!)

My daughter went here for camp one year. She wanted to go so much cause of very good…read morerecommendations from her classmates. We enrolled her. The owners were very rude, but the teacher who gave us a tour was nice. Long story short, this was 3 years ago and every time we drive by this school, my daughter comments on how much she felt lonely when she was left alone crying inside, while the adults told each other to let her cry, how she was pushed to eat something she didn't want to and.how rude and irresponsible the staff was. If you don't mind your kids to be treated this way, go ahead, enroll them here. You were warned!
