Certain things at the school are nice, but some of the professors are TERRIBLE. Few things number…read moreone, they grade where they are not supposed to, 2 they grade things at the end so you would not even know if your passing or not, 3 it could be the most difficult subject and they are flying with the lesson so that you can literally fail the class or exams. 4 some give homework and it's not even graded. Another issue is the required books, most of the professors are not prepared if they require a book for the class from the bookstore. Leaving the students having to guess if the book that is already available is the actual correct one; which in most cases it is not. Another issue is the limited options to pick your classes, one it's ether they are always clashing with other classes; leaving you with having no idea what to do; or 2 having to ask and wait to see if they open more spots every time. Another issue is food, the food is not what you expect it to be, it's always bland. They go all out during orientation and acceptance students day, but once you are committed it's completely different and you will most likely eat the same thing over and over again. Another concern is the dorms, some rooms have mold in them and they don't even try to Clean it. All I got to say is yes the school is peaceful, safe, quiet, and clean, but on the other hand, with certain professors and just asking for help is such a big issue, etc.

Some students are so behind at RHS, in the sped class they review the alphabet (no joke) watch kids TV shows, write letters to Santa and play with childrens toys. If you live in the town run fast,send your kid to a private school or home school. If I could give this school 0 stars I would. I also heard that they want to get rid of the pool that the students can't and dont use and turn it into a cafeteria so students will NOT be able to leave for lunch any more. Newark offers the international baccalaureate (IB) degree. It is a mysterious degree that the…read moreschool brags about that they use to claim they are a high level academic achieving degree. There are many problems with the IB program. The easiest problem to demonstrate is that IB classes and exams can only be taken in only in the junior and senior year. There are many amazingly academic students that must wait until junior year to take the IB exam. If you look internet you will see many smart student question this policy. Are all student homogeneous? Do all student suddenly become smart at the same time? The school had tried to get rid of all AP exams but have failed in many areas. The most notable is math. There are many kids taking AP calculus in middle school and quite a few finish both AP calculus exams in middle school. The school could not also get rid of AP history. AP history is done in the sophomore year. After further review the science depart felt that AP Physic C was more rigorous than IB Physic HL. There were problems with the Econ SL class that the econ teacher created a Econ honor class to replace it. Unfortunately all other AP classes have been banished from newark. At one time classes were designated as hybrids AP/IB classes. This allows many of its students to achieve AP national scholar status which requires the a student to pass for AP exams with a score of 4 or above. IB is also very expensive compared to AP for the school. The school tuition is outrageously expensive. IB program is contributing to this outrageous high tuition.

We've had a wonderful experience with Community Presbyterian Nursery School for our two children…read more(ages 2.5 and 4). The teachers are warm, attentive, and truly understand early childhood development. They create a nurturing environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. The program strikes a great balance between play-based learning and early structure. Our children developed strong social skills, independence, and confidence during their time there. Communication with parents has also been consistent and thoughtful, which we really appreciated. Our daughter went on to Beechwood School and felt very well prepared--both academically and socially--for the transition. It was clear that her preschool experience gave her a strong foundation and a love of learning. We're very grateful for the care and guidance both of our children received and would highly recommend Community Presbyterian Nursery School to other families.
