It's rare for me to leave a negative review, but my experience with Crosswater Dental--specifically regarding cosmetic dental work--is something I feel strongly about sharing, both for my own peace of mind and to help others make informed decisions. I came to Crosswater Dental with a broken front tooth and was given two options: a crown or a veneer. I opted for the veneer. The first one looked okay initially, but I noticed a gap between my front teeth that hadn't been there before. At my next appointment, it became clear that the veneer had also turned gray. Dr. Chopra acknowledged both issues--the color and the gap--and apologized, saying she would go with a different vendor for the next veneer. The second veneer had an improved color match, but the gap remained. Additionally, my two front teeth were now so tight that I couldn't floss between them, and I began feeling a painful, pressure-like sensation. Dr. Chopra made some adjustments and believed the flossing issue was resolved. However, a few weeks later, I began experiencing headaches and constant discomfort in my front teeth. At my next visit, I was told I had an infection and was prescribed antibiotics. Unfortunately, to this day, the antibiotics have not resolved the pain or pressure. I still have discomfort, the gap is still there, and my front teeth remain too tight to floss between. The situation has left me not only physically uncomfortable but emotionally distressed as well. On March 26, 2025, I submitted a letter to the office, along with before-and-after photos of my smile. In that letter, I respectfully asked that, if cosmetic dental work wasn't within Dr. Chopra's specialty, I be refunded and referred to someone with the right expertise. That request went unanswered. I used to love my smile. It made me feel confident, and I cherished the compliments I received. Now I'm left with persistent discomfort, a visible gap that wasn't there before, and front teeth that are still so tight I can't floss between them. These ongoing issues make me feel self-conscious and disappointed. This isn't about the money--it's about having to live with something that doesn't feel like me anymore. While I can't speak to the other services offered at this practice, based on my experience, I would not recommend Crosswater Dental for cosmetic procedures. My hope is that the office takes this feedback seriously and considers referring cosmetic cases to specialists when appropriate.

The staff at the front desk is so super sweet I can't say enough about them. In saying all of that there are two main reasons I can't give them 5 stars. The first is over communication. When you book an appointment you get a text, about a week before you get a text to confirm, 3 more texts prior to your appointment, phone call confirming, messages, on and on and on. Its way too much. Unfortunately for me they somehow entered my daughters last two appointments twice (2 different back to back days) which meant I received 2 of all of the above and had to call multiple times to confirm which was the actual appointment so confusing. They never canceled or changed the incorrect appointment b/c apparently they could not see that in their system but the system continued to text me. I even received texts the morning and day of saying I was late. I called and they had no idea why as they didn't see anything in their system that showed we were supposed to be there. Very frustrating. The second reason is my teenager had to have a tooth pulled and she was nervous. She asked to go back with her and I said yes. When she was called back for her appointment I let the nurse know I was going back with her and she told me no. Ummm what? I wonder what they do when they have smaller children visit. I've never had a doctor say that I couldn't go back. I honestly thought it was the law that you be allowed to have someone at any and every doctor's appointment as you chose.

I grew up in Jax but currently live in LA (i.e. the mecca of facial esthetics) but since I'm in Jax often visiting family and struggling from TMJ, I wanted a dentist's opinion and expertise. I honestly wouldn't have imagined an office offering both dentistry and facial esthetics but after getting to experience Le Dental Spa - I won't trust anything else!! From the moment I stepped into Le Dental Spa, I knew I was in for a transformative experience. I was warmly greeted and escorted to a super relaxing waiting area and offered coffee and water for a less than 5 minute wait. The entire experience was a refreshingly simple process. I shared my personal challenges (specifically TMJ, specific worry areas, and tight trap muscles) and the team thoughtfully and empathetically walked me through what my options were. I LOVE how they treated me as a WHOLE person and not just stitching together lazy, temporary fixes. I feel seen. I feel taken care of. And I feel good! I'll be back. THANK YOU.

Hmm...writing a review for an orthodontist is hard, but here it goes…read more.. When we were ready for my son to get braces we made a few appointments for a consult with various doctors based on word of mouth. It was my son's decision since it was his mouth. You'll find places that have game rooms, a frozen yogurt machine, etc...all in the name of getting your business. What mattered to my son was his one on one relationship with the doctor that would essentially be in his mouth and making a life change for him. As soon as the consult was over a year ago...my son chose Dr. Jason Rice...none of those other frou-frou bells & whistles were important. My son has been seeing Dr. Rice for about a year now and making progress. Dr. Rice is always friendly and personable to us and my son. It makes a huge difference when the doctor has a good rapport with the patient and family. My son still has a few hurdles to get past and several months to go. But I would recommend Dr. Rice to anyone seeking an orthodontist. I would like to add that we've been "too" early to appointments and he always manages to fit us in when we expected to wait from our error. There are two offices for your convenience...one in Jacksonville and one in Ponte Vedra (Nocatee). The office staff is friendly for the most part. We've only had one slightly rude issue and that person we haven't seen in a long time. We actually look forward to catching up to a few of the staff members. After all, isn't it important to have a good relationship along with quality work? Especially when it comes to your mouth? Not that it matters, but there is free Wi-Fi in the office. Plus, the offices are very "homey" and the Nocatee location has an amazing view. TMI: Dr. Rice always wears crazy socks, so it's always interesting to see what he has on. Note: We do not have dental insurance, but we are veterans. Dr. Rice gave us a little discount since we do not have insurance. Plus, we are set up on a payment plan to spread it out so we don't notice it as much. Very helpful!
