Wes Tucker has this ability, the tax payers paid for the gps carts hoping Wes would program them to stay on the cart path! Not only that people drive them up the sidewalks and tell you to get out of their way! That's not going to happen! Watch and see. Why the county elected officials haven't done anything about this is beyond belief! The gopher's get drunk and confront many home owners around the course. They have broken windows not only on the close houses close, but those across the other side of the street! Boom boxs play loud music, if this was a real golf course things like this would not be allowed! not impressed with the new layout. weird sunken greens, coffin bunkers and crab grass. I liked it much better before they redid it. We were accused of trying to sneak off early~we got to #1 a minute before our T time. There was no one else there, so we were going to play as scheduled. The starter rode in like John Wayne, raising his voice because people were arriving late due to an accident. Maybe some VIPs were due to T off before us and he wanted that box open. Maybe he wanted to stop all play until his buds arrived. It's not a good look, and obviously people don't appreciate it. He was rude and his reasoning unsound. Every time we go there, somebody somewhere is being scolded. Seems to be St. John's way of doing business. This will be our last trip. If you're that miserable, go get a job driving a garbage truck, not a golf cart. read more

$35 for a round of golf with cart. I would say that's a great deal for this well kept, maintained, 6/10 challenging course. The fairways were very well maintained. However the greens were hard as a rock and the pin placement, well pros would have an issue trying to come close to making it. The carts were clean and even had gps with overview and distance to the hole features. A beer cart came around every so often and also the ranger to make sure play was on track. The cart even had rate of play to let you know if you were behind or ahead of time. There is a nice pro shop and also area to eat before or after your round. I would definitely play here again. There is also a driving range to practice and greens to put. Overall a pleasant experience. read more

About 3.5 stars but no beverage cart, no rangers, and mosquitos like crazy subtracts that half star. Course is in decent shape. The last time I played here they had 27 holes but now they are down to 18. We heard a rumor of the course closing in November of 2020 but that's a ways off. I think I've heard rumors about this county course for quite some time but with 9 holes permanently closed, maybe it's closer to truth. It's a little trek south on 95 but decent rates and consistent greens make it an ok morning. Especially if you can start around 8a on a Sunday that's forecasted to reach close to 100 degrees in the afternoon. A little over 5700 yards from the white and about 6100 yards from the blues at par 70. Definitely good for scoring as I had one of my better rounds in a long time. read more

The staff is suuuper rude and off putting. There are a lot better, and friendlier courses around.

Course is in decent shape, but the carts have a geofence system that is extremely frustrating. My son and I didnt finish the round because the cart would stop on cart paths, stating that I had driven into a restricted area. i swear cart paths are meant to be driven on. As I return the cart, the attendant promptly starts sharing the trouble shooting steps to alleviate the issue. i would have had to stop atleast 6 times in 14 holes to reset the program. I recommend this place if you would love to rent faulty equipment. Otherwise, there are plenty of other courses around that would never ask a paying customer to fix the equipmen. read more

The best way to improve is to start off treating your customers with respect and decency. The two gentlemen at the desk were okay but when I asked if the email being used for advertising everything went off the rails. An irate employee named Wes came out of the back office intent on an argument. This was obvious by how quiet and annoyed the other two employees looked as begin eye rolling. I had given my name, zip code and produced my drivers license. This seemed like a lot but okay. Wes starts raising his voice saying it's just a damn email. I'm not sure about anyone else but I did pay to be spoken to like that. I asked him if he could take it down a notch. He proceeded to continue raising his voice and going on and on about why do I care that they need my email address. I proceeded tell him to allow me and the other gentleman handle this and he could walk away peacefully. He walked in the office and continue to talk under his breath, but after he left, I finished my transaction and went to Golf Course. This is not someone who is paying your salary. Before you come out here, how will be treated in the clubhouse by management. They don't value you or your money. I hadn't been to this course in sometime and now I remember why. From the minute I pulled up, every employee I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The carts are nice and powerful. The course is in decent shape, some cool features that you don't see else where. The pro shop had nice gear, and the gentleman even helped me find a certain hat that I saw at the beginning of my round (was going to buy it at the end, but were sold out) The restaurant has amazing food. Everything was fresh and piping hot. We talked to the beverage cart employee who said that the restaurant makes everything from scratch, even the mayonnaise. Was a delightful time, and the prices were great. I will be back. read more

Was playing for a tee time at 8:14 I rolled up in my cart ready to go at 8:12 and the starter was beyond disrespectful saying I was late and asked if I was kidding him. I did not wake up wanting to deal with a passive aggressive child. (There was a team still on the box at this time) Golf is a game of respect and I'm a grown man I expect to be treated with basic respect. It was a $30 round... with tee box security. For this starter to be so out of line at a golf course was shocking. Furthermore he told me it was 8:17 and I was late! I pulled out my phone and it was 8:13.......... Absolute child who should not be working at a golf course. I came to have a good time from jacksonville because I heard it was recently redone. Needless to say this will be my last time there. the starter was very rude, We were at the starter desk after paying for golf at 11:20, tee time was 11:21. there were 4 people at tee box. He put us with 2 others and there tee time was 11:48. Sure made my golf experience with my granddaughter (here for spring break)not super.... read more

My daughter played in a Hurricane Golf competition this weekend. Our Two days tournament was simply a pleasure. They had a rare commodity which is lots and lots of golf carts. Often spectator carts are rare. Then they only charged $22 for them. They were new and clean. The driving range was beautiful and they stocked the balls consistently. The course truly felt private as much money was spent on the details, fairway, and greens. It was challenging yet not tricked up. The service from the pro shot to the restaurant was top notch and friendly. It has such a beautiful entrance and lots of parking. Highly recommended. read more

Good course overall. Typical St. Augustine course with a few holes with water, some wide open holes, and some holes with woods. The greens are a little ruff and have sand patches but they do roll well. The clubhouse is nothing to be desired, it has a pro shop and small restaurant and a cart barn. Good pracctice area, with tee boxes on both sides of the range. The range has plenty of yardage stakes. Two chipping greens, one decent sized putting green. read more

Fantastic job on the renovation! The new layout offers a variety of shot making opportunities and lots of fun green side angles with squared off bunkers. The club house has a clean cut look with a friendly staff. 4 weeks from the start date and I was quite impressed with the new Tiff Eagle greens. As a former assistant pro, this is a fantastic course at a super competitive price. Great job on the new logo too! read more

What a treat to find this course. I'm not a great golfer but played with others who are. All of us enjoyed. For a public course on limited budget it was fine Carts are in good repair. Sand traps were well groomed and the greens fine. The price is good for a day visit. read more

First time playing there today with out of town relatives. What a great find! Well maintained practice facility, 50-60% of the greens are quite decent. They are renovating currently and from the plans, I think for the better. Pretty challenging course for all skill levels. Staff was friendly, non-pretentious. I miss playing at municipal courses with normal, regular, working people. Reminds me of city owned courses back in Milwaukee. Cost: just under $30 on a Sunday per person with a cart! read more

The coarse was an absolute mud hole. Not being cared for but why would they, they're going to tear it up after the first of the year. Tee boxes a disaster, the greens not anything like they were many months ago and most of the fairways wet and muddy. If they let people play for free I still wouldn't play. One other thing. They need someone out on the coarse to keep people moving. No way should four senior citizens catch the two people ahead of them on every hole. Pace of play way too slow. read more

The course is overall pretty (VERY swampy the day we were there and sad greens) but their customer service was by far the most disappointing. No course beverage services. My husband wanted to golf on vacation and while this course was about 30 minutes from our Airbnb, it had good enough reviews that we decided to check it out. I'm 8 months pregnant and had zero intentions of golfing, I simply wanted to just hang out with my husband while on vacation. When we checked in for his tee time, he purchased a round of 18 holes with a cart rental and then purchased golf balls and tees totaling close to $100. The gal at the register (Denise I think) told us it would be another ~$20 for me to just ride along. I understand that establishments have policies and this is common at some golf courses, but she was incredibly rude in her presentation. Additionally she told us the reasoning was "we won't be able to use the cart for anyone else if you ride along and won't be able to charge for it"...... which makes zero sense as they weren't putting anyone else with my husband and he'd already paid for the cart rental so he'd be driving it solo if I didn't go with him. There were tons of available carts on this Wednesday mid morning. Additionally there were 2 guys behind us golfing together driving solo in separate carts (we asked, they weren't members either). Nice enough course but honestly with her attitude, I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere. read more
