This place is normally a decent lil course to go play, but the staff are rude and not very friendly or polite. For a muni they act like it's a private course. It's not in that good of shape consistently to charge what they charge for green fees. The course was extremely dated but still played okay. However, not having ANY water stations on 18 holes during the summer is diabolical.

A course for TRUE hacks. If you want to go out and be completely disappointed by the greens , I invite you. T boxes ? No . More like sand dunes. Golf balls bounce like they have hydraulics on EVERY green. The staff is super nice and friendly. Just don't expect any of that from the greens. One of the more prestigious feeling courses for the low price, the 18 hole course also provides a sub par driving range. The clubhouse is a tad worn but in the St Augustine style that looks old and tattered, while on the other hand the holes are some of the best looking i've played. It was not busy when i went and i was able to take my time and also was able to find many many balls in the woods so my experience was great. read more

This course needs a little TLC, but it has some interesting holes. Staff was very friendly, carts were good and they have a nice little club house with descent food. It's not a country club, greens aren't the greatest, but rates are fair and what's better than 18 holes somewhere. i would not hesitate to return. would have rated 3.5 if possible. read more

Our experience at St Augustine Shores Golf Club was about what we expected. The low price means the course isn't in the greatest shape by any stretch (thin and patchy grass, un-manicured greens, and some traffic on the front 9). That being said, we booked online and paid $32 for 18 holes and the back 9 was EMPTY. We didn't see anyone the whole time and we were able to play at the pace we felt was right. The staff was easy to work with and the experience was fun overall. If you're an experienced golfer, you won't be thrilled about the course condition; if you're a beginner or intermediate, there are some straightforward holes as well as some doglegs that make the round interesting. read more

couldn't do a no star. took 1 shot with my driver off the grass and the manager came up to me and told me to go fuck myself because i couldn't hit on the mats. Don't waste your money at this terrible course the management is a joke and manager is immature and insecure. poor establishment. read more

Definitely a blue collar golf course . I've seen people golf here with t-shirts and blue jeans . Very cheap course to play . They don't really give you a tee time, when tee 1 is open you just go if your ready . One day there was a line of 3 groups wanting to go off 1. I decided to just go off 10 because nobody was making the turn , and the " ranger " flipped out on me . Made no sense . read more

I've been seriously playing golf for less than a year and this course is great for beginners. It's inexpensive, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is overall calming. Although it's no fancy course, it gives you the jump start to golf that you need to get better!! Love this place! read more

It's short, but not as easy as you'd think when you look at the scorecard....perfect "old man" course - you don't have to be long, but you do need to get the ball in the air (high handicappers who hit a lot of worm burners will lose a lot of balls) and put it in the right spot. Fairways in poor shape - but the greens excellent (VERY slow, but consistent, which is all I ask for) Depending on the time, a great place to get on and off quick - I teed off at 7 (by myself) and was off at 9:45....but i have a hunch this place fills up with "mature" golfers in the winter - will try again when the snowbirds leave.... read more

1 star is the lowest I can rate it. I've played a lot of courses within an hour of St. Augustine and this is by far the worst of them. I've have played here many times out of convenience to just to get a quick cheap round in but have totally give up on the place. The course and driving range are always in terrible condition and they're taking no steps to change this or any of the decades outdated "amenities". Left an 8 iron on the driving range, called and went to check. Disappeared without a trace. There are multiple other courses within a 20-30 minute drive that are roughly the same price and in far better condition. Spend the extra 10 minutes and 10 bucks and go play golf at a real course. read more

I really like this place. It's like a hole in the wall restaurant that doesn't look the greatest but has great service and product. The course itself is in pretty bad shape though. Some of the greens need to be totally redone. The thing I like most about this place though is the laid back feeling and that the people actually make conversation with you. The carts are in really good shape, like they purchased them recently, so maybe that's a sign they are working on improvements. I don't need a fancy golf club where people stand around swinging their junk and talk about why they are so great and how rich they are. I play golf to get out of the house, have a beer and hang with the guys. If they fix up the course this will be a 5 all the way. read more
