I built my pool with St. John's in 2023 and, at the end of 2024, paid over $100K for the project. While the initial process and attention during the build were excellent, my experience over the years with warranty and customer service has been very disappointing. I've had recurring issues with the pool lighting and have needed warranty service multiple times. Getting support has consistently been a struggle--calls and requests often go unanswered, the staff is extremely difficult to reach, and when I do get through, the customer service is rude and unhelpful. Many of the original employees I worked with are no longer there, and it feels impossible to get any continuity of care. Over the past month alone, I've been trying to simply get a call back or even a warranty contact number with no success. I wasn't asking them to perform service, just to provide information, and that was still too much. Because of this experience, I no longer plan to pursue future projects with St. John's and cannot recommend them. I had previously referred several neighbors to this company, but I now regret those recommendations. I had a pool installed in 2021. St John was good with communication in the beginning with issues, but have not responded to calls for last 3 months. Not sure if they are out of business, but prior numbers and contacts cannot be reached. They have neglected a known crack in pool since beginning of 2025. This is the 2nd time they needed to repair. I believe is pool design or craftsmanship on their part. The value was good at the time, but the customer service lacks greatly. Know facing how to address with another builder. Horrible service and an incomplete job, even after 2 years. The company is full of cheaters. The initial interaction and the communication before signing the project were great, but once they started getting the money, that was the end. It took them over 1 year to do the work, which is still not completed. For each phase, there was a delay, and I literally had to chase them and beg them to do the work. Once they had collected all the money from the lender, they completely disappeared. They owe me money for an unfinished job, but there is no way to get hold of them. My advice is not even to get the initial consultation with them, as they will be making false promises, which just did not happen to me but to two other 2 folks in my subdivision. WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Not sure what it takes to get this company to respond to their clients who expect their pool project to be FULLY COMPLETED before they bail. We signed a contract with Saint John Pools OVER 1 YEAR AGO and they broke ground OVER 8 MONTHS AGO. Originally they promised we would be fully finished by Memorial Day, then July 4th, then Labor Day; all have come and gone. It is about to be THANKSGIVING and we are getting zero response to texts and emails. We received ANOTHER red tag from the city over a month ago and they have done nothing to resolve it. We have no heat in our spa, the spa is not level (which does not allow the water feature to work properly), the stucco job is peeling off already, the tiles are uneven causing tripping hazards, the pool vacuum was to be installed October 14th, it is not done, we can't pass final inspection because they DID NOT do proper drawings or structural engineering for permitting for the structure that was built (we repeatedly asked for both to approve and NEVER received because they don't have them). To elaborate on this they sent a geotech company out to do a soil sample for the structure AFTER it was built! Completely unethical. We have had to hire other contractors to fix their mistakes, my husband has had to be the project manager for this entire job because they have NO ONE SUPERVISING THEIR SUBS. The latest example: none of our lights in the pool work properly and they have told us we have to deal with their vendor directly to get it resolved! WHY ARE WE DOING THIS WHEN THE PROJECT IS NOT COMPLETE?! This had gone so far off the rails, we had to insist on weekly meetings with the owner on site to get anything done.. he did so for several weeks and has now ghosted. The list above is not comprehensive, there are MANY other issues that need to be addressed. We signed a contract with St John's on 10/14 and the started construction at the end on November and have still not completed the project. My pool has not been worked on since April 14th and the equipment has not been delivered. There has been no communication from the owner for more than a month despite several attempts to make contact. Even after sending a demand letter asking for a firm timeline to complete the remaining work no update has been given. We were quoted 6 to 8 weeks to complete the project and we are now 7 months in and still not completed. Paid my deposit and never heard from my project manager Justin or the company again. I texted Justin multiple times with no response. I called the company asking when my project will start. I was told I would get a call back. NO CALL BACK!. I signed my contract in April. It is now June. No work has been done on my pool. I've called the company about 5 different times. Now, I just want my money back. I will not run behind a company that I'm trying to spend my money with. Communication is Horrible. Just don't waste your time and look for another pool company. I had children in two separate classes this yea. There is no teaching or even demonstratin. They rarely even help the kids. The children are expected to learn entirely on their own while life guards sit on the side of the pool yelling instructions and cuddling. My daughter passed level 3 in Cheney this year because they tested her skills. They held her back in level 2 at St. John because, they let her play instead of test her skills. read more

Lowest quality pool builder. At day 1 excavation it rained, mud everywhere and the workers touched my patio furniture, bbq, and dewalt vacuum. Breakers blown throughout the day and was told no personal trash would be left in my yard, water bottles on the porch and in the yard. Equipment pad was so horribly poured I insisted it be redone and ended up doing it myself because the owner said there didn't seem to be a problem with the pad they poured, look in the pictures and decide yourself. Every sub-contractor they hired just didn't seem to care about the quality of work they were providing the customer of SJP. And know, SJP does not build your pool. They hire multiple sub-contractors in the local area to accomplish each phase of the build, with zero oversight of work conducted and zero accountability for botched work. I'd have been better off being my own contractor and hiring them myself and having eyes on each build phase. They hold their sub-contractors to zero accountability and provide an ugly product to their customers. AJ Synthetic turf was the only positive that came from our project and I salute them for bringing back my faith that some people actually care about people and their investments to their home. There were a few good people at SJP and they know who they are. Lastly, it's unfortunate, but after researching pool building during my 4 month build, seems that all sub-contract work and when supply and demand is so great, quality takes a back seat. I highly advise reaching out to home owners and get their opinion. I'll never again pay to have another pool put in. Issues in photos: Spilled PVC primer on my patio, unpolished granite top, uneven burner, unchaulked countertops, tile damaged during removal of edges, SOD delivered and threw on my door step, duct taped drainage pipe I had to come out of pocket $883 to fix, trash with food containers left in backyard for a month, equipment pad dropped towards the house/puddled water/blow out/form horribly constructed, framing to pool framing and skimmer crooked, and lastly, the bobcat pushed earth into my fence line causing drainage issues I had to pay out of pocket $2000 because I no longer trusted SJP to do anything in the proper manner it was supposed to be completed. I hired AJ Synthetic to level back out my earth and lay my sod. And had to come out pocket again $700 to move my gas line and on last day they tell me I need a new gas meter to turn on my pool heater. Each cost $350 and I still can't turn on my heater. Don't do it! I wish I would have read the reviews before I contracted these people. It was a series of mis-communication, scheduling and personnel issues. We had 3 different "superintendents" during our build, but no one followed up to ensure the work was being done properly. We still have some sort of leak and were promised a water pressure check 3 times - no one ever came to do that. Now it appears I have mold on the plaster behind the pool.... The lack of support and communication was beyond frustrating! I had to constantly inquire - what's next - when...etc. When the "owner" came by because 1 of the superintendents left (quit/fired???), he was so pompous and annoyed I even had questions. I k now they have to dig up the yard, but they managed to create a mud haven behind and on both sides of the pool. When they dug for plumbing, no one levels it out...it was such a mess. The project started off nicely and full of hope. The end result was quite disappointing. The plaster had to be redone because the install wasn't supervised. The drainage piping was never fully connected to have the run-off flow from the yard. The pipe was poorly installed and has now broken. The encasement for the water feature was poorly installed and was told "that's how it should look." read more

Worked with St. John's pools from concept to design to end product. When we were searching for the best options they really were able to design exactly what we wanted and could see it virtually before we bought. Always on time finished our pool earlier than expected. We were very happy with the end product and our customer service from Axel our designer and consultant. Highly recommend!!! read more

I've had a pool done with them back in April. Literally after the last installment, they really not communicating with you. I have a leak in my pool and they sent someone out twice stating there isn't one when clearly there is one. During the Houston summer where it didn't rain for two months. It's been wet all around the pool and the equipment. They told me to get someone out there to check it myself when they're supposed to warranty it they want to pay $700 then I'll get reimbursed. Fast forward to December one of the LEDs that goes in the pool is going out and nobody responds or gets back to me. It's very low quality with they have and the effort they put into doing their work. Never got explained really how all the system worked or how to use everything. It's just a terrible experience with them. But I guess you get what you paid for. It was one of the lowest prices that I quoted when I got the project started. But I see why now. You get what you pay for... read more

My previous comment which I made on FB was oddly deleted, which I can only assume was done by an employee. So keep that in mind when thinking about the integrity of this company. Would I recommend St. John Pools? After them deleting a negative comment (shows shady business practice), and hiring subcontractors that have no clue what they are doing (they cut our att service lines a total of 3 times in a 2 week period), as well as having no regard for neighbors when it comes to beginning their times for work (I have video showcasing that they arrived at the job at 5:55am), it's safe to say that there is no way in hell I would let anyone that I know use this company. read more

Our initial design meetings went quite well, our sales rep was able to draw the pool we wanted quickly and was very responsive when we wanted a number of changes over time. When we were ready to sign the contract in the first week of February 2021, we were told that it would take longer than normal due to the pandemic, which we understood. The estimate was that we would start sometime in the spring, but no later than early summer, and certainly, we would be complete by August 2021 in time for our daughter's birthday in September. That, of course, didn't happen. Here we are in April of 2022, more than 15 months later and the pool is still not finished! I will concede that we have had water in the pool and the heater and equipment hooked up since November of 2021, so we have been able to swim. But once they got the final payment (which was due prior to completion, which should have been a red flag...) they lost interest in the project. We have effectively not seen any work from them for almost 6 months. We are still waiting on some work on the tile and deck, the auto-fill doesn't work requiring manual filling from the hose twice a week, there is a problem with the Venturi skimmer so leaves don't properly empty causing additional manual cleaning, and the main pump shuts off mysteriously about once a week with no error or notification from the monitoring system. We are also still waiting on the final electrical and pool inspection from the city. All of which are repeatedly promised, but never happen since they have requirements to complete first and haven't done them. About every few weeks I contact them again, and get more promises that they will be right out to take care of things...nothing happens...then repeat. Here are some examples of communications via email and text. Me (10/04/2021) - "Here is my list of the remaining items: ...(long list of remaining items)..." Me (10/18/2021) - "No sign of anyone yet. The list is basically exactly the same as last week...." St. John (10/20/2021) - "Josh is going to be out there today to begin most of the remaining things." Me (10/21/2021) - "Again, no sign of anyone today, so same list." Me (10/22/2021) - "Again, no sign of anyone today, so same list again." Me (10/30/2021) - "Still no change. The only work done in more than two weeks is the auto-fill cover..." St. John (11/04/2021) - "Josh will be out there to complete the rest of the items on the list tomorrow and Saturday." Me (11/09/2021) - "As we have come to expect, no sign of him Friday, no sign of him Saturday, no sign of him Monday... so the list remains the same, except for the heater." _(The heater guy came and started the heater. Josh' came and did a bit of the work, very poorly, ended up just going to Lowes, getting the materials, and doing it myself just to make progress)_ Me (11/21/2021) - "All the other issues are in worse shape than before Josh came, so we'll just take care of them ourselves. Should have just done them myself and saved all the waiting and extra cleanup..." Me (12/1/2021) - "Are you still there?" _The next communication we get is 2 MONTHS later..._ Me (2/1/2022) - "Hey, do you plan to send someone out to finish the work soon?" St. John (2/1/2022) - "Sorry, I have been out of town since the beginning of the year. ...What is still on the list so I can get everyone on the same page?" _I have sent the "list" many times over the preceding months, so nothing has changed...why is it my responsibility to keep sending it to them? I sent the list again_ Me (2/13/2022) - "Two weeks more and still no work done." Me (3/9/2022) - "No sign of anyone, been another month..." Me (3/28/2022) - "Almost another month has gone by, absolutely no sign of anyone since the beginning of December. What do we need to do to get these issues taken care of? Is there another person I should be dealing with?" St. John (3/28/2022) - "We have put in the work orders for the appropriate subs to come out and take a look at everything. I will be calling with more specific dates on when everything will be fixed as soon as I know the schedule. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience." Me (4/1/2022) - "Any movement on this?" St. John (4/7/2022) -"We're working on the last of your punch list" Me (4/7/2022) - "...Come on guys. This pool was "finished" last October, but 6 months later we still haven't finished the work. No sign of anyone since last year." _Still nothing..._ All the work delays and some remaining mechanical issues aside, we have been generally happy with the quality of the work that was actually completed, initially at least for the pool and structure. Our issues are mostly with the follow-up and lack of service once they got their final check in October 2021. The primary cosmetic issue is that there is concrete spatter all over our house, the back screen, the pool tile and coping, and our two AC external units. We have cleaned up some of this ourselves, but a lot remains. read more

I'm writing a review not as a customer but as a neighbor of a customer. Our neighbors signed a contract for a pool install in June 20'. It is now March of 21' and the pool is still not completed. The reason I'm writing this is because our experience with this company has been horrendous. In October of 20' they began to dig the hole for my neighbor's pool and in the process then destroyed the yard in between our houses including a nice chunk of my front yard. I was never approached by this company to let me know they were going to tear up part of my yard. I said something to one of their guys and was ignored. This was just the beginning of this unprofessional crap they have pulled. I have 2 young children and have to helicopter parent because of what they've done. So not only did they tear up my yard which caused a chain reaction of death in the center of my front yard, they've left pieces of trash and tools everywhere. When they ran the two drain lines, the left pieces of broken PVC pipe everywhere and again didn't pick up after themselves. They also dug a 3 foot deep hole to put in piping and pumps in the front yard on the side of my neighbor's house. After installing everything they've left the hole around the equipment without any barrier. Again, 2 young children I have to make sure don't fall in this hazard that has been there for going on three months. They have left mess after mess when pouring concrete and most recently plaster everywhere in our cul-de-sac. This company has no professionalism whatsoever in cleaning up after themselves, caring about others people's property, and above all else...SAFETY. They are supposed to move our fence up so it hides the pool equipment. I'm fully expecting them to mess up my fence on that side. I am willing to bet that my neighbors will have some lingering issue and I'll update this WHEN that happens. Based on other experiences I've read about, avoidance of working with these people is my advice. read more
