I saw so many colorful and old/vintage windows and home pieces that could add or enhance your home or add a unique aesthetic to your home. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the pricing, the lack of cleanliness or upkeep of the store, and the disappointment in this store definitely not being ADA complying for anyone who may have a mobility issue or wheelchair bound. There are so many items tucked away in corners and up against the walls here that it just seems like it would be dangerous and compact to try to walk comfortably. Parking might be a thing as we couldn't see any spots in front that would allow us to park. We had to park down the way (alley) and walked over to get to the store. It's really dusty here and although many things are labeled with the year and the type of wood/metal/glass the pricing just doesn't make any sense. I will say if you are down to explore and really take your time to look around to find a unique piece do it but maybe bring gloves? Everything is old and not in the best condition so be forewarned.

This place is hard to rate. They have a couple of outlets - one on S Probandt, and one on Walzam…read moreRd. Probandt is an old warehouse and the goods are presented in a commensurate fashion, making it kind of a dump to go to. BUT it is very large and they have a lot of items. The Walzam Rd location is smaller, more store-like and a lot cleaner. Selection is similar but my impression is of smaller quantities and more limited selection. They both carry a wide range of construction and household materials, whether reclaimed from remodels or demolitions, or closeouts, seconds and scratch-and-dent. They also have a lot of paints, much of which is "evolve", a brand that keeps excess project or returned paint from being senselessly dumped in landfills. Prices are better than the building materials stores, but you still need to know what a good price is, as some of the smaller household goods can be found for less elsewhere (mainly online). But bargains are to be found if you don't mind spending time browsing. I suggest coming prepared with a complete list of what you might need, so you come away with what you really want at a price that suits you. All of that said, remember that this is a thrift store for Habitat for Humanity, a very good organization that makes affordable housing available for low income people. So anything you buy supports a great cause. I would have rated this 3-stars, but the nature of what their main focus is caused me to make it 4-stars since the dollars you spend here contributes to helping people in need.

Well, they called yesterday and said for unseen circumstances they won't be delivered until November 22nd. 2 DAYS BEFORE Thanksgiving!!!! So we needed a fridge FAST!! So off we went and found American Frieght in San Antonio. We were greeted by the nicest salesperson Rita! She is a dream. She helped us look for exactly what we needed. And could get us a delivery in 2 days. Since we would eventually get our other fridges we thought we could buy smaller ones that would eventually go in our laundry rooms. Rita was just great. She wrote up both our orders, but there was a gal that came in after us, but her order got done first and took the last spot for a Friday delivery. This is where Rita did her best to help us out. She got the manager to come over and because they knew our situation with my daughter and her 3 little babies that we needed a fridge ASAP!! Jeremy did his magic and got us a delivery for the next day on Thursday! We couldn't of been more happy. Thank you Rita and Jeremy for being such great people. We will do all of our appliance shopping here from now on. Oh and P.S. Rita gave us some great places to go and to eat. We aren't from here so we had such a nice conversation with her and got some great advice.

Sue Haley was the first sales associate to help me. I was having problems with my visualizer app and she took me right to their computer and helped me to visualize my tile selections in my bathroom. She was very knowledgeable and patient in showing me how to access and use the visualizer app. I selected a few tiles that I liked and Sue Haley set me up with their designer Marianne. I showed Marianne the large format tile I had selected for my shower walls and she pulled some floor tiles for me and showed me how you can set them up against the large format tile display making it easy to see if they go well together. She also let me know that all she needed was my builders information and I could take five samples home free. I had no idea. This was such a convenient service and it helped me a lot to take these samples home and see them in my bathroom. I selected the tiles, and a few days later I returned the samples that I didn't want. That day a sales associate named Serenity easily helped me pick out the grout color that would pull the wall and floor tiles perfectly together. I was able to select all the supplies I needed completely in my budget. They have very competitive pricing. Anywhere from inexpensive to custom-made expensive and everything in between. There is something here for everyone. I highly recommend Floor and Decor in Live Oak by Ikea in San Antonio Texas.
