Decided to try this small fried chicken place. The menu isn't big, fried chicken, nugget, salads…read moreand chicken burger. It's like a glorified pfk. The place is very small, there's 4 table for 4 persons and 2 bar style section where you sit on a stool for about 6 persons. Staff blast personal music through a Bluetooth speaker. When I arrived, the cashier had airpod in his ear while taking order and had trouble understanding people order. He finally removed them after some patrons but he shouldn't have them to begin with. Order take from 5 to 10 minutes to arrived. So it's not fast food as you order and you have it, but it's not table service either. It is not cheap. I was thinking it would cost less. A chicken burker 16$, drink and fries 4.50, poutine instead of fries 4$. 4 chicken strip with buns, 2 sauce and fries, 20$. Total of 50$ with taxes. No I didn't leave any tips, it's not table service or delivery. Staff was nice. As for the food. The chicken mozzarella burger. Big thick chicken with a good chunk of mozzarella. Really good chunk of cheese. But the chicken is as smooshy, not a great feeling. But it's a big burger. As for the poutine, it's also a big good plate, lots of sauce. I suggest starting with it unless you like saugy fries. We found the sauce and fries salt leaking, making it a milder poutine with a sub taste. The hot cheestos chicken tender were very thin. Red hot is suppose to be hot, I think it's the regular tender but in red hot batter or something. Wasn't hot for me. I too the spicy sauce and crusty. The tender wasn't really tender, again squeeshy and felt like left over chicken from 2 days ago. Didn't felt fresh. Regular normal sauce, nothing out of the ordinary. Came with a coleslaw that were also blend. This place remind me of jack le coq. In the end, I won't be coming back. I wish we had a chicken guy, it's so much better.

I saw lots of amazing reviews on google so I decided ok let's try it! Service: 5++++Super friendly very caring and they really care about pleasing their customers. It is a bit of a long wait to get the order! They do everything on order so it takes time to get stuff cooked up but trust me it's worth the wait it's amazing ! At least you know it's FRESH! Food: 5****++++++++++++*+*+++++/5 one of the best if not THE BEST CHICKEN sandwiches I've ever had! In all honesty their chicken was amazing super juicy inside and extremely crispy and light on the out! It was out of this world ! This place is by far the best wayy better than their competitor next door! It definitely needs way more credit it's just that good! The chicken tenders were so juicy inside and crispy crunchy light on the outside wow! I loved the fries they were crispy but still filled inside usually fries have nothing inside these were thick cut french fries that was extremely delicious. The onion rings were good but the STAR was the chicken.. the condiments need a bit of work like their sauce and slaw is a bit bland but f*k it I'm all jn on their chicken!!!! Everything was fresh and made on the spot ! Overall, HUGE HUGE HIT I WILL COME HERE IN A HEARTBEAT ANYDAY !! Definitely worth trying you just have to you won't be disappointed

Decided to try this little place for something different. In short, it's a fried chicken place you…read morecould compare to pfk. In length, it's not pfk. The menu is mainly chicken but there's also bowl. The decor is like 60s restaurant you could find about everywhere which is nice. There's even 2 arcade near the door. It's a dit down restaurant, not a fast food. They don't get your food to your table but the wait is a good 10 to 15 minutes before the order is ready. This is because everything is freshly prepared and cook in the back so nothing left on the heater (except maybe sides). This place seems to have lots of problem with missing stuff. There was 3 items in the menu (mainly chicken cheese puff I wanted to try) that were not available. They were also out of knife which mean when a family ask for some, the chef came out from the back with his own butcher knife and cut the food. Nice but shouldn't be needed (and dangerous). As for the food itself, we tried the tender with oignon rings. I took the red one which are spicy and tasted like beets! Was good. If you like fried chicken, it cannot be more fried than that. The chicken was juicy and the skin crunchy. The oignons rings were few (not even 10 pieces) and cold, which show me it wasn't freshly made like the chicken. You have the choice of a sauce (or you can pay extra). There's about 10 selections from which you can choose. When you take the trio, you can select your side. Popcorn butter, mac and cheese, oignon rings and more. It remind me of chicken guy in the states, but with a smaller menu and lot less dipping sauce. Will I come back? Maybe, it was good, I wouldn't say don't go there specially if you're craving fried chicken (it's better than pfk and less greasy). Every meal are served in a to go box and a real plate. I think they should ditch the box or make them available on the sides cause that create a lots of unnecessary waste.

We had a few leftovers that we tried eating the next day and the chicken tasted old and not at all fresh. The poutine was good, skip the fried chicken toppings. My tip for a good experience here: Eat their chicken as soon as they serve it. Don't wait to bring it home to eat.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Delicious crispy chicken tenders…read moreand waffle fries in what feels like a micro-Food Hall environment. The Long Version: My husband and I stopped at Cali for a snack before heading back home to Ottawa. We shared a 4 pieces chicken tenders combo ($18) which came with waffle fries and a canned drink (we got a Fuse iced tea). The chicken tenders were a good size and were lean chicken breast meat. I don't know how they do it but the outside was so crispy and crunchy and the inside was moist and tender. Definitely in the top 5 chicken tenders I've ever had. The waffle fries were great too. Waffle fries are so underrated, lol. The meal came with 2 Cali sauces, which I would describe as a creamy chipotle sauce. Service was pleasant. You order and pay at the kiosk and they ask you to enter your name. They call out your name when your order is ready. There is a bit of a wait since they fry your chicken to order, but it's so worth it. The building has 3 fast-food style eateries. Totopo Tacos is on the same floor as Cali and Sama Sushi is on the lower floor. Totopo Tacos and Cali share the same dining area. I didn't go downstairs so I don't know if Sama Sushi has it's own dining area or not. It feels like a really tiny Food Hall. It looks and feels nicer than a typical Food Court. There's free parking in the shared parking lot. Review #96 (2025)

Cali is worth all the hype it has got in the last 2 years!!!! Wooow this place is dope!…read more As you walk in, there's a few other restaurants that are like totally ignored lol ... but you have to walk up a flight of stairs to the left to get to the right spot. I waited a very long time to try this place out, as every time I passed by in the last year, this place was Jammed ... a huge line up so never wanted to wait in line for fried chicken. Was in Laval on a Monday and I decided Hey let's try Cali.. I always wanted to try it out but maybe I'll get lucky and there won't be too many people. To my surprise, there was a lot of people but thankfully they were already eating and they've been served so I came in at the right time to get me a chicken burger ! Yaaay! The employees are super friendly and welcoming! The menu is super simple Chicken burger, waffle fries, poutine and mac & cheese that's it .. I think ahahaa So I just ordered the chicken burger trio. With the waffle poutine and boy was it out of this world. The chicken was insanely crispy on the outside juiceeyyyyy on the inside. The Burger: 5+++++ it was the best chicken burger I've had in years like legit one of the top top burgers! Filled with so much flavour. The slaw was amazing! Who knew their pickled cabbage would taste so good in a burger? Their Cali sauce is amazing! The guy even gave me all their sauces to try out was awesome ! Super generous. The trio was like 26$ but I swear the portion sizes are extremely filling and definitely worth the price if you ask me! I recommend this place whole heartedly! Cheers!

It has ev charging station (2, didn't saw any place to pay just plug and charge and clearly marked as customer friendly) which is very nice. The place has a bar (never saw one in a benny before) and it use little disc when you order to dine in that you put on a spot on the table and they know where you are. This allow them to bring you food at your table easily. There is 4 big tv with a portion of the menu that often get replace with ads. I hate when they do that, it slow down ordering cause the customer can't look at the menu anymore. I asked for a physical menu and it had more choice than what the tv was offering. I took a club with brown meat and brown bread and 12 mozzarella sticks. First the sticks. It's much more like bites, it's very small but good. The club itself is way better than what I had at my other benny but still feels very empty. Especially when comparing to clubs from scores that are so full, it was pretty thin. It reminded me of st-Hubert club but better. But at least, it had brown bread something the other place is always out. I'm not sure I got brown meat but that's not a big problem. It came with fries, coleslaw and sauce. We also took the chicken Cesar wraps. It was good. Came with fries and coleslaw. All in all, this benny was way better than my benny near my house, staff was very friendly and answered perfectly the question we had and food was prepared very fast. The star lost if because of the club having like half of it with meat, very thing, don't try to find the tomatoes. It could be way better for the same price.
