The tavern is the perfect sports bar for hab's fans that want to enjoy more refined food in an upscale setting. The food features all your classics like wings, burgers, steaks and poutine, but with certain twists like foie gras, truffle oil and oyster appetizers. The happy hour deals monday to friday are good, there are discounted beverages and 1$ oysters. If you dine after 10pm, there is also a selection of dishes for 10$. The food is delicious, however a bit on the pricy side as to be expected. Also to make it even more expensive, there is no free parking for clients. You have to park in the Bell Center, during event nights it's 12$, otherwise you take a chance by parking across the street in the stores' lots. Paying for parking is kind of a deal breaker for me, I'm suprised they didn't have some arrangement for clients - as there is a gym in the same building that offers parking passes. Great place to come experience the beautiful decor and massive screen if you want to be wowed, however I can't picture this as a regular dining spot due to parking issues and expensive food.

The 80+ screens all over the place. Mind you some of these were kinda overkill and the quality of them weren't the best I've seen but it was an impressive display. The service in general was exceptional for this type of place with this type of volume of clients. Are you reading this Cage of Sports? A burger shouldn't take over an hour to provide to your clients! On top of it all, it was delicious with a fantastic moist bun that in general hit the spot. My cousin had the fish and chips which looked to be mostly batter. Even the fries were battered which was a surprise given the ones in the poutine were not. They are known for their drink served in a mason jar. I found the jar have shrunk with time. It used to be served in the big one and now its the small one. The thing, at least at this location, that is often lacking is the service. It's slow, don't expect to do a come and go. You will run out of water and probably never see anyone to fill it. No more wonderful steak Philly on the Friday. Most of what was offered on that daily menu is permanently gone. They added many different poutine that actually existed before but part of a secret menu you could learn from their social network page. Some starter too. They change the recipe of some of the food. The Mac N cheese is now more creamier and the cheese is more present and flavourful. I never had it by itself, but in the poutine Mac TeX, it's a miss for me. It used to be the poutine I always take when I go there, poutine Mac TeX. Tried it 4 times already since the switch, always the same and I don't like it unfortunately. Maybe others don't. From the post they made on Instagram stating that it was now creamier due to popular demand, I guess that's how people like it. But I think people was taking it by itself and not into a poutine (I never see much people eating a mac te when I'm there). Also the new Mac N cheese on the Mac TeX make it you taste nothing except the creamy liquid cheese from the Mac N cheese, nothing else. I normally add the homemade steak sauce available on the table in the poutine and when I tried it with the new recipe, it wasn't good. I also trie the dirty Poutine. I totally forgot what it is. There's like 2 sauce, I think it's meat sauce? Sorry I really forget. It was good, but about half way through, I was done with the taste just like the current Mac TeX. I still finished it though. It might be a bit a miss when it's overbooked specially if your table is hidden In a corner (happened a bit in the past). The only reason I bring from 5 to 4 stars is only because I prefered the old menu and old recipe. I did talk to a staff last time about the Mac TeX recipe and was told sometime it's because of new chef. I guess he wasn't aware that the recipe actually change, he did seemed new since I hadn't seen him before. I'll talk to jack or one of the owner last time, not to bad mouth, simply to have feedback from customer on the menu.

The decor is upscale making this more a place for a date than for buddies. They've refined their menu away from pub food. The staff is friendly and abundant. We left feeling like we picked the wrong place to watch a sporting event.

The ambiance is that of a nice sports bar without being annoying. We returned a couple of days later and I enjoyed the pizza. Real good. Recommend.
