The Long Version: My husband and I stopped at Cali for a snack before heading back home to Ottawa. We shared a 4 pieces chicken tenders combo ($18) which came with waffle fries and a canned drink (we got a Fuse iced tea). The chicken tenders were a good size and were lean chicken breast meat. I don't know how they do it but the outside was so crispy and crunchy and the inside was moist and tender. Definitely in the top 5 chicken tenders I've ever had. The waffle fries were great too. Waffle fries are so underrated, lol. The meal came with 2 Cali sauces, which I would describe as a creamy chipotle sauce. Service was pleasant. You order and pay at the kiosk and they ask you to enter your name. They call out your name when your order is ready. There is a bit of a wait since they fry your chicken to order, but it's so worth it. The building has 3 fast-food style eateries. Totopo Tacos is on the same floor as Cali and Sama Sushi is on the lower floor. Totopo Tacos and Cali share the same dining area. I didn't go downstairs so I don't know if Sama Sushi has it's own dining area or not. It feels like a really tiny Food Hall. It looks and feels nicer than a typical Food Court. The Long Version: My husband and I got 2 chicken rice bowls from Poulet Royal and overall it was good. We got the 3 pieces of grilled chicken bowl which comes with 2 bases, a sauce and 7 toppings. It's $13.99 a bowl in-store, but UberEats was having a BOGO (buy one get one free) deal for $16.99. We got double brown rice as our base. We didn't get a second different base because the only other one included in the price was white rice. There was an extra charge for quinoa or salad bases. For the sauce we got piri-piri and for toppings we got lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, pineapple, bell peppers and shredded cheese. The rice wasn't hot, it was kind of room temperature and it had some clumps, but the toppings were good. They tasted fresh and were nicely diced. The chicken pieces were smallish but were real breast meat. The piri-piri sauce had a good amount of spicy kick. The bowl looked shallow but the portion size was good. I actually didn't finish mine, but my husband gladly ate the rest of mine as he finished his long before I was done, lol.
