I don't make a habit of reviewing airport restaurants but I felt that was a blind spot for me. So,…read moreI liked this place. The service was really good, the food was surprisingly good and it was quick. I had the beef cheeks and wild mushroom ravioli. I enjoyed it and didn't leave anything to throw in the trash. I would eat here again and would maybe plan my trip to allow me to eat here in the future.

It was an early morning flight and there were not a lot of options available. However, this was a pleasant, friendly dining experience. We both had the granola and yogurt bowl, which came with a choice of muffin, croissant, or chocolate croissant. I went for the chocolate croissant which was fresh and flaky, with melty chocolate on the inside. The granola was full of fruit, pumpkin seeds, and small pieces of dark chocolate. It was satisfying and at $18 was not a bad value.

I was working downtown and decided to drop by here for lunch…read more I ordered one of their specials for lunch and it was prepared relatively fast and placed in a box which was string wrapped. I ordered a chicken meal which included the partial chicken, fries, dipping sauce for the chicken, cole slaw, bread, and a small soft drink. I took my box to one of the empty tables in the Central Station food court. Because of the Covid-19 measures at the time, a security guard asked me for my vaccination passport and government ID. I found the chicken and dipping sauce to be good but not the the dipping sauce was not the best that I've had (I prefer St Hubert's sauce). I can see myself returning here on occasion whenever I feel like having rotisserie chicken and I'm in Montreal's Central Station.

I've been to Poulet Rouge a few times now and honestly it's one of those places I keep coming back…read moreto without really planning to. Whenever I don't know what to eat but still want something good (and not too heavy), this is usually it. The chicken is always solid. Juicy, well cooked, and actually seasoned properly, which is not always the case at places like this. You can tell it's marinated and not just grilled plain. I usually get a bowl and load it up with veggies and a sauce or two. The sauces are really what make it for me -- flavorful but not overpowering, and they don't taste artificial. What I like is that you can build the bowl however you want. Some days I go lighter, other days I'm hungry and add more. Portions are decent and I usually feel full after, not stuffed but satisfied. Price feels fair for what you get. The place itself is clean and simple, nothing fancy but comfortable. Staff has been nice every time I've gone. Sometimes it's busy, but they still move pretty fast and don't make you feel rushed or ignored. It's not "fine dining" obviously, but it's reliable. And that matters. If you're looking for something fresh, filling, and easy, Poulet Rouge is a good choice. I'd recommend it, especially if you're tired of greasy fast food.

My friend ordered a regular chicken bowl and it was a *huge* portion -- we could barely finish, but it was so tasty we kept wanting "just one more bite." Definitely a spot I'd recommend, especially if you've just arrived in town or don't feel like cooking. Perfect for a quick takeout fix that doesn't feel like a compromise on flavor.

Sunday is still royal chicken soup which is the one I prefer. I visited at 20h15 which is very close to closing. Our waiter was very nice, smiling, present, a very welcome change. I'm used to not so great service at scores and this occasion was very good. The food is the same at all location so unless there's different offering, it's identical. I took the club sandwich. At scores, they put a whole chicken breast in it, not shredded or minced meat. This result in a very big and juicy club sandwich that is properly filling.

With the McDonalds inside Place Vertu closing a few years ago, this McDonalds is now the McDonalds…read morethat I go to when I'm in the general area or in Ville Saint-Laurent as opposed to going to the McDoanlds near Cote Vertu metro. This is a typical McDonalds. They have free WiFi and there is the self ordering terminals. The fountain soft drinks are not behind the counter so you can mix/match the fountain drink and put as little or as much ice as you want in your drink. For the most part, I don't have anything negative to say about this McDonalds except that twice when I requested that my order be brought to my table where I ordered a trio (burger, fries, and medium drink), they brought the order with an empty cup and expected me to get my own fountain drink. The reason I requested that the meal be brought to my table wasn't because I was lazy but because the tables/seats somewhat fill up fast at this McDonalds and when you have/find an empty seat/table, you don't want to leave it to get your order especially if you're there alone. I think it is common sense that if someone requests the order be brought to their table, that the fountain drink should be filled.

Not the first time eating at this place that's before you go through airport security…read more Unfortunately, this time was really bad and I think it's only because of one careless employee who has a bad attitude and rude towards customers who come to this place to eat halal healthy food that is unique at the Montreal international airport... We were standing first in line in front of the counter waiting for the employee in question to take our order...to our surprise he just ignored us and took an order from the next customer...not only that he also took an order from the second customer and it was not until I asked him if we can order, he then says I thought you already ordered in a very rude tone...no apology nothing...on top of that we ordered the spicy potatoes (batata harra) and he gave us regular fries. When we told him that we wanted spicy potatoes he said I already prepared the fries...he then made us pay for both regular fries and spicy potatoes... Other than that the chicken shawarma was no better than other shawarmas we had during our stay in the city. The wrap was full of lettuce and little bit of chicken shawarma. As it's located near the security entrance it's quite busy and a bit noisy. Because anyone can access the place seating area, you can see people sitting and chatting without necessarily having eaten there. Maybe they can have an employee control access to avoid having people wait too long for tables to clear. In addition, tables were not clean and we had to ask multiple times to clean a table for us. I like Paramount food in Toronto, but I think this location at the Montreal airport needs some attention to provide the great service they have in Ontario. Paramount opened and closed few locations in Montreal before we got the chance to try them...
