I wanted to try a donut so I went with the double chocolate flavor. I'm a chocoholic so I'm very judgmental towards anything chocolate. The donut itself was very dry but ok. I really liked the chocolate glaze stuff on top. I think it was a fudge flavor. That was delicious. Would have been better if the donut wasn't so dry but it had probably been sitting for a while if I had to guess. Idk tho. There was actually no line so I got my order in two seconds. I've been to several Tim Hortons over the years, and this one has the same formula -- good coffee and acceptable donuts.

We were at the airport and just wanted a quick bite, nothing to much or that involved table service. We passed by a few times and then just decided on a savory pastry and bagel from Tim Hortons, plus a few Tim Bits (donut holes). There were only two people working at the time and service was a little slow (they seemed to be bickering at times) but we eventually got the the front, placed our orders, and picked it up in a few minutes. This is for the Tim Hortons located outside Arrivals (after you go through customs and baggage claim and then hand your customs paper to the border police). When I first saw this spot, I didn't think anything of it because I was in a rush to get out of the airport so I could check in to my hotel. The second time I saw this spot was during an unfortunate circumstance when I had to fly on the next flight out of the airport (the next day). With no place to stay, this place became my savior. I ordered the chicken with bacon strips, lettuce, and tomatoes in a baguette. My friend ordered the same thing without the bacon. She got a Boston creme doughnut and I got a glazed chocolate doughnut. It was lovely. The area has seats so you can charge your phone and also do some work on your laptop (with the free airport wifi) while you eat. The sandwich was made right on the spot so it was warm/hot. I didn't try the coffee so don't come at me. The doughnuts were reliable just like they always were. The space is relatively well-kept, which is awesome. Not dirty. Not a ton of people sleeping on benches in this area. As I am writing this, I am sitting here right now experiencing all of this. So I must say, I am grateful for this establishment. This is a really great spot for when it's practically midnight or anytime after 10 PM and you have nowhere to go/have a delay/have a canceled flight until the next day. This is the spot for you. This is located in the domestic section of the airport. We placed our order at 1122, got my coffee right away and sat to wait for our food. Steady stream of customers and orders were coming up for them. After 10 minutes I went up to inquire as I was waiting to catch the attention of the server, a management person walked up, ignored me and told the server to get her a coffee ! I finally got the attention of one of the server who took my bill and spoke to the cashier. She told the person preparing the order who said she didn't see the order. Eventually she called our number 95 handed me the sandwich and immediately turned away ( still missing the order of chili ). I had to catch the attention of the first server and asked him about the chili. He ended leaving his station and prepared the chili for me. Total time 22 minutes from the time we placed the order ! This is unacceptable in a place like this where everyone is in a hurry to catch their flight. The food was tasty but the speed of the delivery is beyond poor. read more

Me and my friends order numbers were switched and mixed the receipts up. They gave the wrong food to us and overall mediocre taste. Lastly, bad customer service and bad attitude. We had a delay in Montreal so I insisted that we meander over to Tim Horton's to get some of the infamous Tim Bits and sample some beverages. Though the clerk was friendly and helpful, we were underwhelmed by the taste of the coffee (it seemed stale) and the variety of Tim Bits and other edible options. I suppose we did visit later in the day, so not in the midst of the breakfast rush where coffee is likely brewed nonstop, but it was disappointing to only enjoy the flavors of Canada by way of the day's three remaining Tim Bits and some icky coffee. Had my last stop at Tim Horton's on my way back to the US from Montreal. This was at Gate 70 (YUL/Montreal airport) right next to the restroom. Guy gave me and my daughter an attitude from the start asking if we're paying using a voucher. We ordered, 1 grande hot coffee, he bitterly immediately said" We don't do grande here, only small and medium !" I said, oh ok medium then, and ordered 2 hot lattes and 1 bag of whole beans and 1 french vanilla cappuccino canister. When we were called for our drinks, the nice lady that was he was working with gave us 1 drink! My daughter told him that we had ordered 2 lattes and when I confronted him, he said "No , I told you in the very beginning that we don't do lattes, we don't do iced drinks!" I asked him what do you do here then? He said "Only hot coffee and French vanilla!" I said " Well, Isn't french vanilla considered a latte?!" He said maybe you just want free drinks and I'll just give it you! I said " Look! I can pay for my drinks, but you are giving us an attitude since the very beginning!" The nice older lady was trying to console us by giving us the coffees but I insisted on paying for it since this dude thinks we just want freebies. Even with 6+ staff they cannot manage to complete three regular coffee orders in less than 20 mins. I decided to leave the line when one of the two people working the only register fell asleep standing up at the register. I will never understand the special kind of lazy one needs to work at Tim's. This was my first time at a Tim Hortons and I know it was the airport location so other locations will offer a lot more, etc. I had a croissant here that was above average and the person that sold it to me was above average in friendliness. For some reason they had half of the menu shut down that day. Can't say much more, it's great that there is one in the airport as I was very hungry and this was just what I needed after my sandwhich. Ordered a breakfast meal on the go quickly as I was getting ready for a flight. Idea: order and eat while waiting in luggage check line. Problem: the cashier didn't give me what I ordered. In particular: I get an sausage egg English muffin w no sausage. I eventually go back to point out the problem and am told: (1) go to back of line and (2) no sign of apology whatsoever by person who made mistake (fact: folks who are willing to pay a premium for low quality airport food are usually in a hurry - so time-consuming mistakes are particularly problematic for them). If you order from here, I recommend one thing: just check your order before you run off. Probably takes 5 seconds and you'll save 15 minutes in the case where the cashier makes a mistake. read more

It's not hard to find. It's located by a Starbucks just past gate 75. The line was pretty long when we arrived. The doughnut selection was pretty scarce. They weren't listed in English so I had to point and describe which doughnuts I wanted. The service was good and place was really busy. The maple cream filled doughnut was delicious! read more

The line was longer than most places at the airport possibly because TH is a Canadian institution and everyone wants a taste of Canada. And so, in the grand tradition of things in airports not being super awesome, I feel that way about this Timmy's. Now, it should be known that I've been to precisely one other TH in my life, so I don't have much to compare it to. But Tim Horton's, or Starbucks, or any other restaurant or cafe or airport stop have the same functional needs, and there are a few pluses and minuses here. First, it was fast. I had a breakfast sandwich and it got to me quickly. That's a positive. It wasn't slammed, but there was a steady line, so they can handle at least a small crowd. However, the layout is really bad. It looks like you can order on separate ends of a counter, and then you just sort of wait and mill about in the seating area waiting for your food. It's awkward, and people pile up, and you don't hear when your name is called. It's just a bad layout. Still, it's pretty cheap. The food is... well... fast food from an airport. Being a Canadian living in the U.S., whenever I get a chance to return to the place where I grew up, anyone can get their Starbucks and Peet's coffee, so I always make a point to have my Tim Horton's coffee every chance I get. Once upon a time, Duncan Donuts (and its coffee) restaurants were omnipresent, but now it has been replaced by Tim Horton's chain (a former NHL player). Second Cup is basically Canadian version of Starbucks, I'd go from time to time, but for me, Tim Horton feels more like home as the number of Van Houtte Café seems to have dwindled since I left for the U.S. Tim Horton coffee make me like I'm home, and it has a very casual feel to it - which makes me feel really warm. read more

NPS = 8 Ok. Maybe it's because I am on vacation in a country i haven't been to since I was 13 years old (so I guess it doesn't count), but Tim Horton's is awesome! I had never been to a Tim Horton's before and I was really happy to see one right in the airport. I could see how Burger King would fit this into their business model. I got a coffee and a chocolate pastry. About $3 USD and some change. The chocolate pastry was AMAZING (again, I wish I could gauge it's true taste without the sweet feeling of vacation boosting it up a couple of notches). Don't tell the little Cuban bakeries back home, but this was one of the best pastelitos I had ever tried! I'd like to see a regular Tim Horton's retail shop, not just the one in the airport. This one had fancy TV menus and all that but I'm curious to see how they operate in their day to day. Again, I'm a fan. When in Canada, check out Tim Horton's! The is a review of the branch after your pass security check to travel to the US. This is a tiny Tim Hortons... with slow service and NO DONUTS?! Waaaaat!? Only food available for breakfast were bagels and the such. You'd think this would mean the line would fly by with literally no choices for patrons but nope, completely slugged along while the staff chatted as they worked. Oh, for the record Tim Hortons.... when your line-up is 25 people, it's not the time to get all chitty chatty. Get an actual manager in here and prime your employees to work hard at least at the start of the day. I watched behind a line of 30 people for nearly 30 minutes as 6 people behind the counter stood looking at the grilling station as people routinely left. The management of this particular Tims is highly lacking in time management or management of its employees. This is an airport, people are in a hurry, and you come to Tims for a quick grab something and go! The hash browns, on the other hand, were not crispy and were more on the stale end - it was a little weird, because the line to this place was pretty long, so you would think that things were made-to-order, or that new batches would be frying up. Just make sure you check your order before you leave, as we received a bagel sandwich instead and had to swap it out! They should be a zero. I am far from unfamiliar with the Timmy's chain. I spend hundreds of corporate and personal dollars there every year and typically receive good quality service and food. This Tim's is at the domestic departure wing. 20+ people in line and others dropping out because of the wait. Only 2 tills open. My son and I got to the front of the line and proceeded to the next open till once the person had finished their transaction. The cashier saw us and promptly walked away in to the back with no acknowledgement. After a few minute wait and noticing others behind us were now being served at the other (only) open till, I asked the sandwich maker if our cashier would be returning. "Well did she call you over?" (Like I'm supposed to know better). No-I say. "Then you need to get back in line", again, like I'm supposed to know. The gentleman at the front of the line was kind enough to let us in front of him. We placed our order and were directed to the right and to the left depending on what it was we had ordered. Our order number was called. I wasn't aware that they were using a numbering system but my sandwich maker was quick to point it out at the bottom of my receipt. After seating myself and checking over the order, I noticed that the bottled water that came with my combo is missing. I went back to the counter and inquired received a blank stare and then was told I need to help myself & that it was in the cooler. There was no water in the cooler-only a barrel of room temp from a display. The (almost) final disappointment was being out of Boston creams. We settled for a maple filled but clearly the donut display is extremely warm and most of the icing ended up stuck to the bag they put it in. This airport Tim Hortons is good for a last minute craving before a flight, or for tourists to get their first taste of Canada. The good: Typical Tim Hortons food. Lots of cashiers available. Single seats have access to chargers and USB plugs. Lots of sittings available. The bad: Some cashiers do not understand english (or french for that matter). They screwed up our sandwiches. Waiting isle makes people bend on sides, which came over my seat and food. Why don't they have small glasses like in most Tim's? Tables not always clean, and when they are cleaned, seats put back into places which as much noise as possible. Not the best Tim in town. I would give this a -2 if i could. Absolutely horrible! The service is incredibly slow. Iced coffee tasted like burnt old coffee with a whole bunch of coffee grains at the bottom of the cup. I couldn't go back to get a new one because after waiting 15 minutes for crap service, i was running late for my shift. Customer service is CONSTANTLY horrible. Employees aren't well trained, they're rude and they don't know what a smile is. Lines are long, employees don't give a shit as they continue talking amongst themselves. This is a review of the branch near gate 1. We arrived here at 10:30am and they were out of eggs and hash browns, so all the breakfast combos on the display boards were not available. WTF?
