The sales assistant was very knowledgeable on the three guitars I was looking at and took the time to understand my ability level and offer suggestions. He was then happy to help me set the guitar up on an amp and gave me the time to play about before making a decision. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone needing a bit of advice with an instrument purchase.

It does take a good 10 minute walk away from the shopping centre to find it and if you didn't know Bedford I doubt you would ever be able to find it! They stock a good range of things in this shop although the majority are guitars. They also teach instruments in the studios above. Next door (linked inside the shop) there is a repair studio, headphone and disco shop. As there are no other music shops in Bedford, prices aren't very competitive. If you are interested in music and live in Bedford, going to this shop is a must!

Colbecks pride themselves on offering high quality equipment and in my experience, their long-lasting products never seem to disappoint. The store is right next to a large PC World and very easy to park close to when collecting large instruments. Its showroom is a little cramped, yet remains inviting and well laid out, and the Colbecks team are friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to.

I noticed the shop also offered other services such as repairs, restrings for guitars, tuning and even music lessons. If you're in the market for musical equipment give them a try I'm sure you'll be as pleased with the service as I have been time and time again.
