She seemed reluctant to shake my hand. She informed me she must throw all my clothing in the dryer for 20 minutes. Excitement dissipating.. The inside appeared sterile at first glance, and it was. Besides the ladies in program, it would have been a nominal affair at best. Enter my case manager, Kim, who sparked up my stay at Hope Place with her variety of wardrobe, open ears and heart. Goldyn, my singing, talking, dancing, acting roommate. A very talented female who FORCED ME TO HAVE FUN. ..and a 100 other equally brilliant fembots and their children who came and went during my tour de force via Hope Place. Enhancing my world with their courage, flare and flavor. Never to be forgotten. What a lovely experience, that I'm glad is over. There are several different sectors to these botanical gardens. Probably my favorite was one area with a lot of plants in bloom. Another area was a bit more wild and took me to a suspension foot bridge. I went across the bridge twice but kind of got a touch of vertigo as it is kind of high and the bridge wobbles a little as you walk. It's perfectly safe... it's just me and having a fear of heights. There are pleasant and tranquil water features as you wonder around and there was one with a pond with koi that I got in a short video. These gardens are very nice to kind of "get lost" in as you bond with nature and hopefully have a bit of peace with your thoughts from everyday life at least for a little while.

I waited through a list of 8 people and when I got to the top i was randomly dropped to number 5 again. I waited again. the third time i was at the top, I went to the adoption center they said my name was nowhere on the list at all. it went on and on! I was there for 2 hours of this. I know that you are underfunded but really--why is this so bizarrely inept and broken? Just make a PAPER LIST and call us, like a restaurant hostess would do. We didn't adopt, but we will from a good organization. And the place we adopt from will also receive our donation money.

I was in a pretty helpless position as I was not due to be home for several days. My son came up with a great idea and checked online to see if our dog had been found and turned in to the RASKC. Sure enough, she was there. My wife went down the next morning, paid the fee and picked her up. She had been well treated, and we are very thankful that they found her and gave her a good safe place until we could come get her. My son said that she was so excited to see him.
