Lucky, the Gentleman who's name was on the schedule was the guy I was suppose to meet, and he cleared it up with the guard at the Dock. I entered to pick up a visitor FOB key, and headed to the 16th floor where I met the director of Technology Services where she confirmed which school I was coming from. Took a copy of my School ID and brought a cart to load up the Monitors. Took the freight elevator back to the loading dock and put them in my vehicle to take back to my school site. I signed for the pick up and was off on my merry way. Over all I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

In addition, teachers are having their wages embezzled by the Los Angeles Unified School District. Just about every pay period I had to visit the district office to complain. They eventually would give me my money. We only got paid once a month. Other teachers, African Americans, were complaining that their wages were being stolen, too. One full-time teacher called me into her classroom. She asked me to look at her check stub. There was a deduction of $400 for some charity, and another deduction for $200 for another charity. She said she never authorized those deductions, and that she had never heard of those charities! I recommended that she visit the district office to get her money! The who are in charge of the payroll in the schools are out of control!

The bathrooms had a lot of fruit flies in it but I don't attend here so I guess that won't bother me in the future? GREAT/FUNNY TEACHERS OF MY TIME: Mr. Lal, Mr. Leibner, Mr. Blankenship, Mr. Watkins, Mrs. Winnenger, Mrs. Derama, Mrs. Tuitasi, Mr. Neal, etc. I can't remember any more! hahaha! GREAT MEMORIES: -A lot of other Filipinos hated on me because I was the first MALE FILIPINO in Carson High to get with a BLACK GIRL out of REAL LOVE instead of SHOCK VALUE....NOWADAYS, it's quite normal to see a lot of MIXED COUPLES...BUT...to this day, you still don't see BLACK GIRLS with FILIPINO GUYS or VICE VERSA...it's funny, but true. -"Backyard Wrestling" at Carson High was awesome...me and my friends didn't follow the trends, instead...we made our own trend and got everyone to conform to us....we ended up in UPN, MTV and more! -Trendy-ass students chilled at the front showing off while the gangs fought each other. -WEED was the main drug of choice among teens back then....nowadays, I hear that it's stupid shit like METH and CRACK....wow. NEGATIVES: -Their restrooms SUCKED...did not have ANY DOORS, plus people would try to mess with you. -SOME (not all) teachers just sucked. -Ignorant Jocks and Gangs pretty much ran the schools along with the popular peoples....not all of them were assholes though. -My Filipino race were into their stupid rice rockets that their parents bought them...it was annoying....a lot of them (not all) were such narrow minded trend followers and that same thing went for all the other races that acted the same damn way. -Back then, SKATERS were NOT CRACK HEADS and SKATERS DID NOT WEAR GAY SKINNY JEANS LIKE TODAY...SKATERS back then were REAL SKATERS that had a REAL STATEMENT....THE SAME WAY HIP HOP and HEAVY METAL FANS has a REAL MOVEMENT after Kurt Cobain, J. Dilla, 2 Pac and Biggie died....unlike TODAY where most kids in Carson DRESS UP MOSTLY (not all) just to LOOK COOL. FINAL THOUGHTS: I loved and hated Carson High....but when it comes down to it, my experiences there made me what I am today....that was then, and I hope many of you grew up....much love to all Carson High Alumni!!!!!

When I looked into other schools, none of them felt like home the way Holy Trinity did. My husband and many of his friends also attended HTS and received an incredible education, so it means a lot to our family that our son now gets to have that same positive experience. This school truly stands out for its supportive and welcoming environment. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warmth and positivity created by both the staff and the students. The teachers and staff are amazing -- they are incredibly dedicated, always willing to help, and genuinely invested in the success and well-being of every child. One of the things that makes Holy Trinity so special is how approachable and caring the educators are. They create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and growing both academically and personally. The communication between staff, students, and families is also wonderful, which really strengthens the sense of community. We feel so grateful to be part of a school where the teachers truly care and where children are encouraged to grow, learn, and thrive. Holy Trinity is not just a school -- it's a community, and it's a place our family is proud to be part of.

They are a bunch of privileged middle aged people who need to retire or rethink their passion or the field they work at. You ask a simple question and you get a negative attitude/ answer back ALWAYS. As if you should be kissing their @$$ if you speak to them. Very eristic, argumentative and combative attitude this bunch especially the one in the front. Faculty is great, other workers in the school are great but the people in the office....please replace them. Rude on the phone and in person. If you agree please like this and maybe other parents like me won't feel BELITTLED everytime I call the school! ZERO STARS for the office workers. It seems that Mary is only the saving grace in this team in the office. School is great!!! The principal Mr. Walker is an asset to the district and the school. He is very gracious, accomodating, and the students love him. Don't let a few parents who are full of themselves convince you otherwise. PS I'm also an alumni of CHS.

I attended GALA…read moreduring 6th and 7th grade, and while I hoped it would be an empowering, supportive place for girls, it turned out to be anything but that for me. I was indirectly bullied often by people in my own friend group. They made fun of my skirt length, my shoes, my hair, and even my social media posts. Even those I considered close friends ended up talking behind my back. GALA loves to preach about "leadership," but where's the leadership when it comes to protecting students? They have a real problem holding people accountable. Even when someone causes repeated issues, they refuse to expel or discipline them properly. It's like they're more worried about keeping their record clean than actually creating a safe environment. People like me end up leaving while the problem students stay. And don't be fooled by the word "leadership" in the school's name. If you're not accepted into the very limited leadership elective, you basically get no real leadership opportunities at all. So unless you're handpicked, you're left out of what they claim to be all about. Oh, and this is supposed to be a STEM school? Then explain to me why for half the school year, we didn't even have a science teacher. That's not just ironic--it's unacceptable. Advisories are another joke. They try to brand them as "your family," but I felt completely out of place in mine. I asked to be moved and was told I couldn't because it was a community. I being forced to stay in an uncomfortable environment every morning for 7 years. Yea, no. The only teacher I had any respect for was Mr. Hale, Mr.Mulka, and Ms. Roque, the computer science teacher, my math teacher and my PE teacher. They were the only adults in the school who made me feel seen, safe, and supported. I'll always be grateful for them. GALA is great at hiding all of this for sure. And I was fooled and I was excited to go here. But the reality? It gave me anxiety so bad that even the color purple reminds me of how terrible it was. Sure, there are a few nice people at GALA, but not enough to outweigh the toxic environment. This is just my story. I know some students love GALA and have had positive experiences but that simply wasn't the case for me. If you're considering this school, I strongly encourage you to take everything I've said into consideration and go in with open eyes and mental preparation.

As a fellow yelper said it so well.. are we really going to rate USC on Yelp? LOL!!…read more I am delighted and thrilled to share I am now an alumna of USC. As a yelper here for over 13 years, I don't sugarcoat my words (or in my reviews), and I don't intend to do so here either. The USC program is rigorous and not for everyone. There were so many readings that I often genuinely wondered if it was even humanly possible to get through them all. Granted, I am a slow reader, and that certainly did not help. Beyond the beautiful campus and the prestige that comes with the school, more importantly know that there is no financial aid for tuition fees for master program. Education does not come cheap. Still I am grateful for the learning experience and for my many professors who were simply wonderful and amazing professionals. A big shout out to Dr. Julianna Kirschner, Professor Monica Koyama, Dr. Muthuswamy and Dr. Courtney Pade. P.S. I didn't attend this prestigious University; however, I joke that I am an honorary alumna. My brothers from another mother all graduated from here, and I attend Homecoming with them every year. In fact, I used to work with Eddie Tannenbaum who discovered Traveler (USC's Mascot) when he was a junior in 1961. The campus is beautiful and features several Romanesque Revival style buildings. A portion of the main campus was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The Coliseum is in walking distance. I've attended many football games here over the years and have seen Clay Matthews, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, & Matt Leinart play. I remember the glory days of Pete Carroll. Our favorite tailgate party is the one hosted by LAMBDA. They have a great DJ, delicious food, a premium bar, fun activities and, of course, fabulous attendees! This year we were treated to yummy eats from Bludso's BBQ & tasty treats by Ice Cream Occasions. When the party was over, we all headed to the Coliseum for the match between the Trojans & the Huskies. Sadly, we lost this game but we will continue to Fight On!
