With the close of Archangel Books, the St. Cloud Bookshop is your only place to find Catholic books/gifts/goods in Central Minnesota. As a religious goods shop, you can find Christian items: crosses, Bibles, Christian artwork, statues, as well as Catholic items: sacramentals, Rosaries, hosts, holy water bottles, Saint statues, crucifixes, and more. If they don't have it on hand, they can order what you're looking for and are competitive with their pricing. They have provided for the needs of the group of parishes that I work for, and provide great service. It's great to have a store like this locally. It's located downtown. read more

The St. Cloud Book Shop was started by the St. Cloud Dioceses in 1949. It has been family owned and operated since 1982.

Meet the Business Owner: Janet G.

The St. Cloud Book Shop became a family business under the stewardship of John Gamades Sr, who purchased the store in 1982. Since that transition, the store has steadily maintained its position as St. Cloud's leading Catholic goods retailer. Today, The St. Cloud Book Shop is managed by John Sr.'s wife, Janet, with the help of her three sons, John Jr., Michael, and Pete. Built on a tradition of integrity and community building, the Gamades family is proud to provide St. Cloud with a robust collection of Catholic books, Bibles, rosaries, art, and gifts.
