I was shopping for some living room furniture. So in my search I went to Bob and Frans. I have to…read moresay this place is a joy to shop in. Not only are the prices competitive, but they allow you to wonder around, and sit on everything to test it out. When I asked how large different things were, the owner gave me a tape measure to use in the store, so I could measure the products. When I told him what I wanted to purchase, there was no "up sell". No high pressure at all. And when I asked about delivery he indicated, that because it was already in the afternoon, that it would not be until 10:30 the next morning. Delivery was right on time. At 10:30 the next morning, they were not pulling in the drive way. They were coming through my door, with the love seat, quickly followed by the two chairs that I had also purchased. Later that day I notice that the wood on one of the bottom pieces had a scratch in it. So I called, and asked if they have a furniture marker or something to darken the wood so it was not obvious. Again they sent someone out to see if they could color and buff the scratch. The service tech indicated that he was not able to repair it fully, and would be speaking with the owner about it. A couple of hours later, I got a call from the owner, who explained that they were not able to remove the scratch, but they had already ordered a replacement piece, and would come over and replace that part as soon as it came it. In the mean time I was told to continue to use the chair, until then. This is how a local business competes against the big box stores. Service like this, will have me coming back when I make my next purchases. You owe it to yourself to stop over and see the 4 floors of furniture and appliances that they have. And I do believe them when they say, "if we don't have it, we can get it". Awesome place. Should get 6 stars.

We were greeted upon arrival but they didn't follow us around the store, which I really appreciated. We selected our mattress and box. Julie asked me when we needed it, I explained to her our circumstances that we moved from Arizona, sold all of our furniture before leaving. She said they could deliver the same day. About two hours after our purchase we had our new bed. The delivery guys were great, they set up our bed and we were ready for a much needed good night sleep. I would definitely recommend Bob and Frans. I know I'll be returning.

We have both bought items in store and items that were made to order - a bed frame, nightstands, a dresser and a coffee table all out of white oak. We have never had an issue with any of the items, some we have had for years. And we have had multiple friends compliment us on how stunning it is and shop there as well. I see they have some bad reviews and understand everyone has their own experience, and furniture shopping is expensive so it can be frustrating when there's an issue. But also want to share with others that it is not always the case and we are very happy with all of our furniture purchased. Would hate someone to pass them up because not enough people leave reviews. They have been around for a long time so I know we are not the only happy customers.

Gopher Bargain Center is part flea market, part unclaimed freight, part antique shop, part furniture store, and part complete randomness. Lawn mowers, fishing gear, bedroom sets, hot tub, flour, drain cleaner, cards, cookware, toaster ovens, Eggo waffles in strangely damaged boxes, a wrench big enough to undo the nut on the bolt that holds planet Earth together. These are merely the beginning of the delights found within this building. A trip inside will make you smile at the complete randomness of it all. Bathroom and kitchen fixtures, including the kitchen sink. You might, with enough imagination, be able to build and fully equip and furnish an entire house with the items in this store. That statement, though true at the writing of this review, may well change drastically as early as tomorrow. The Carnivore understands that there is an activity known as "scrapbooking," which he does not understand, but acknowledges the existence of. He is still stunned at the magnitude of items available at this establishment for this purpose. He figures that putting snips of things in a book pales in comparison to putting a steak in his belly, but to each, his own. There are curious smells in various parts of the store, too. some food-like, some solvent-like, some of completely unknown origins. All kidding aside, I promise you there is something here you want, or maybe even need. The entertainment value of wandering around and occasionally saying "What the hell?!?!" is worth a couple hours of your time. You just need to come here and walk around until you find it. As a side note, I believe in my heart that there are no more 75 watt incandescent light bulbs left in the store. I could, however, be wrong. Give it a try, but I would definitely be cautious about food items that are not obviously sealed, and even those, I would definitely wash the exterior of before opening. This is exactly the type of place I think of when I want to go thrifting. There is stuff in every nook and cranny and I probably made about 4-5 rounds throughout the whole place. The owner was very kind and had a beautiful cat that followed me around for a bit lol I spent $78 and got SO many treasures! If it were closer, I would go every week. I will be back here for sure.
