This is an average antique, vintage, collectibles mall - 3 stars…read more My first (and only) visit: this place is pretty mediocre by my tastes. The first floor is - about - half vintage stuff and half modern collectibles & nick knacks. Of course, they have the ever-present lame area featuring Christmas items year round...even in July. This one is right in front. I don't know why I always seem to find these areas in antique/vintage shops but it seems ubiquitous - I can't seem to escape it! I HAVE seen shops with very cool, legitimately antique Christmas items. But sadly, that's not the case here. The basement is mostly real legitimate antiques. There were far more interesting pieces down there. But nothing really knocked my socks off. On the other hand, on the positive side, nothing was very expensive either. You won't break the bank shopping here. I don't know why I have a fondness for those 22" antique framed photos in oval frames with bubble glass but I find them fascinating. I saw several cool ones downstairs and they were only in the 50 buck range. I usually see price tags of 100 dollars (and up) for these things, depending on the photo. On the day of my visit, the customer service was pretty pathetic and non-existent. I counted 5 people behind the counter and one old timer (customer?) leaning on the counter, talking everyone's ear off. No one could be bothered to greet me or ask if they could help me to find anything. I even interrupted them to ask a question, and I still had to wait & they all acted like I was bothering them. Yet, my pocket was full of cash. Oh, well. I left empty handed and underwhelmed. I might have...might have...bumped them to 4 stars if the customer service was awesome. Each aisle of the store offers its own flair so you can be here for a good hour just to ensure you don't miss anything. Stop back when you can because seasonally, items change. I would say this store is a mix between Patina, Home Goods and a thrift shop. Worth the stop - 4 stars…read more Pine Creek is an antique store right on the main drag in the old town part of North Branch. It's a lot bigger than it looks like on the outside. The whole thing is shaped like a giant "L" and it actually has 2 separate entrances. This is a traditional mall type antique store with multiple vendors. The store also has quite a few "house" items that are owned by the store. The reason I know this is because the item I picked wasn't marked and they happened to mention that it's a house piece when they were trying to figure out the price. The shop is well organized, clean, and displayed nicely. The prices all seem super reasonable. And the staff members are nice people. I had a pleasant chat with the owners about the long history of the building...very interesting. One of the main things I like about this place is it actually has antiques! There are very few new items. By far, nearly everything is what I'd consider antique or vintage. One notable exception is a vendor that seems to be preoccupied with Christmas items, most of which looked like modern products. Not my thing but I suppose there are people that dig this. I attended one of their flea markets today, that's when other antique vendors set up outside the perimeter of the house with their own goods. On flea market days, the white house items are an extra 20% off ( excluding sale items). All sales are final. Very fun place to walk thru, reminded me of all those antique shops in the Stillwater area. There are so many little spaces to discover and dig thru. In one of the rooms they even have free coffee to sample! Free parking in the lot next to it, in addition to free street parking in downtown Anoka. All the staff were welcoming and smiling as we came thru.

Regardless of anyone's personal beliefs, I don't think customers should feel unwelcome or be removed over respectful opinions or conversations. Businesses are free to run things how they choose, but this experience felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. I'm sharing this so other customers understand the atmosphere they may encounter.
