I was charged $25 twice to replace the lenses because they popped out and he lost one. I felt like this was unfair. The lenses should never have popped out. The literally popped out just to clean them. It was a decent that was the lab's fault and yet I had to pay for their mistake. I wasn't happy about that at all. I really love the doctor and the staff though so I am going back one more time, so this time the lab had better get it right!

I made an appointment 2 weeks ago, then I get a call the day before my appointment to say they did not accept my insurance. The lady took a tone when I asked her why would she wait until the day before to check my insurance? When they used to check the day you set the appointment. Mind you, one of my coworkers is also a customer and her insurance is accepted, which is the same as mine. Dr.Khong is a good doctor, however his support stall need to be reworked. I came to Dr. Blahnik after having a terrible experience with another eye doctor recently where I paid cash but left with useless glasses and contacts and a really terrible customer service experience. Dr. Blahnik took his time and really addressed all of the concerns I had and gave me faith again in this profession. He was patient, thorough, and kind. He went into much more detail about my specific vision issues than any other eye doctor has. He also has a really cool old-school eyeglass lense chest that you can see in his exam room -- check it out! His office is clean and the soft lighting makes it a very calming atmosphere. I'm extremely glad I made the decision to come here for a second opinion. I only wish I had come here first!

During said visit he was rude and unpleasant as he accused me of being disrespectful for responding to a text message at the very start of the examination. Post examination, he stated that the prescription changed a bit and this new prescription would reflect that. Dr. BIlalis entered the prescription to read -1.25 for the left eye on 12/13/2024 which was inaccurate. I received new eyeglasses with the current prescription in which I was unable see out of due to the error. As a customer for over 10 years, I had never had this experience. It was such terrible service from a provider with a bad disposition but moreover, leaving me with a prescription error, wasted time and money for eyeglasses that had to be returned. I would not advise any other customers that I know of to utilize this provider. They also refused service to me after initially advising if I chose to return, I could be seen by the other optometrists.

This is what happens when you try to patronize local businesses in your area.
