Pretty good school in a good location. They recently within the past year gated around the school…read moreso that's neat. I never had any issues the two years I went here. Not bad school.

I lived for seven years in the nationhood just in front of the school and watched as many young nationhood men began their education there and move on to college well prepared. Today I had the opportunity to visit the school up close at a high school soccer game as the Wolf Pack hosted (and might I also say...Roasted) the Harding Lions. The student body that showed up was as diverse as they were polite and inviting to there guest team and families. There fans intermingled with the Harding fans and good sportsmanship was observed both on the field as well as the stands. Cordova High Soccer boasters were at the gate and welcomed Harding to the campus and the "Pitch". They even started up an outside grill and started cooking hot dogs and hamburgers and almost convened me to put my Yelp Foodie hat on and give them a food review too. Cordova outdoor sport teams were in full bloom this day as the soft ball squad, Tennis crew, Track and Field teams were all outside for a great day and practice. I cant speak directly to the inside workings of the Cordova High, but from an outsiders view and opinion, this school has a lot to offer to the Cordova community.

I started in Kindergarten with an amazing teacher...and now I'm leaving the sixth grade halfway through the year with an amazing teacher. The teachers here will make you and your kids smile, and though the mastermind behind all of the amazing lunches has retired this year...they still continue to use her recipes to make some of the greatest food ever. This school offers elementary and middle. I'm hoping one day that they might extend it to a high school. Everything about this school will just have you happy. The parents like it and a lot of the students love it. Everyone shares love whom is at this school for it. Coming from a kid who generally does not like school and homework, your child will love this amazing place. it has a Christian community with a class entitled Christian Faith Studies. It also teaches Spanish as well. No other languages at the moment, but their might be some, (French hopefully) that will be extended. i have more love for this school and the people in it than ever. It is awesome. Go Tigers Go!

Formally known as The Bodine High School…read more The School use to have diverse student body of individuals with different types of learning disabilities. Some were more functional than others. Most of us were trouble makers due to our disabilities. The school accepted us none the less. I'm 52 years old, and did finished my college with a BFA from Memphis College of Art. I've worked my way through technology up to a Database Administrator. None of that would have been possible if not for the Bodine School and it's founders the Bodine's.

This impaired both his self-image and his interpersonal relationships with other people. It was then determined that he had severe dyslexia. He became a student at Bodine. He did not know anyone there. Within a matter of weeks, he was a much improved person. He accepts his dyslexia, loves his teacher, has made lots of new friends, and has begun to read and write and do math at much improved levels of accomplishment, and this is after just the first semester. He looks forward to going to school. We could not be happier with Bodine. It is such a huge blessing for our relative and for our family. Also, without exception, the other parents who have shared their feelings with us about their offspring at Bodine have similarly expressed their high praise for Bodine. It has a wonderful supportive culture for the kids, and a tremendous staff of talented, devoted professionals. Don B

I'm going to give this school an 8th grade student's perspective of how it looks, as I am an 8th…read moregrader. Once you walk in, you will be greeted by the friendly staff of the school (teachers, janitors, etc.). For the first 3 periods, everything will be fine as you go through the school day. (These are just my teachers, any teacher that does anything bad can be reported.) not much homework, but when it rolls around lunch time, you are required to sit in an assigned seat. My problem comes in at what started it. In the very beginning of this year, you were required to sit at an assigned table. People didn't do that. People still don't do that to this day. Not the best way of solving a problem. Also, I feel like students should be able to roam free and talk to their friends during the only bit of free time they have, instead of being forced to talk to the same people day by day. It makes other students very rebellious. Thankfully, teachers cut us some slack and let us assign our own seats. Now I'm going to give a parent's perspective. I was also a band student. One time, there was an event outside the school, it was during the weekend. Most parents like to relax during the weekend, and spend their time with their children if they work Monday through Friday, but sometimes, if your child is enrolled in band, there will be events on the weekend, and you have to take your child to the event. There is also another thing I want to say. Whenever there is a parent teacher conference, they will give a slip of the time the day or before the day it happens. This gives the parents no time to actually prepare for the conference, which actually happened to ME. That's my thoughts on the school. Not the best from my perspective, but ask someone else and they might say different.
