It is not always interwoven throughout the child's day while at school. For Lamplighter Montessori School, the term "Montessori" most certainly applies in philosophy and in practice. Lamplighter provides a learning environment which is actually a learning community of staff members with diverse backgrounds and experiences as well as a diverse student population. The staff embraces each student as an individual and understands child development involves multi-intelligence parameters, not just a grade level. The leadership of Lamplighter is dynamic and continuously seeks avenues and ideas to improve the school and campus to excite teaching and facilitate learning involving the whole child. If you are looking for a learning environment during an age of creating test score learners that will encourage your child(ren) to become independent and explorative learners, consider contacting Lamplighter Montessori School. Our family continues to appreciate yearly school improvements and a dedication to our children as individuals as well as academic and life learners.

My wife and I absolutely love this school. Our daughter has been going here for almost a year now,…read moreand we couldn't be any happier. Our daughter was previously in a different daycare in town, but ever since transitioning her to the Goddard School she has developed so much better and has a true bond with her teachers. We had debated moving her to a different school that would have been a little bit cheaper, but chose to keep her at Goddard School and pay the extra money, because it was worth it knowing our little girl was cared for and was truly learning every day! We cannot say enough good things about the teachers and administration at the Goddard School in Cordova!!

The lady giving us the tour said they just finished mopping (which is why the mop was left in the hall). It doesn't make sense to mop with chemicals where toddlers are laying, while they're asleep. The lady that gave us the tour was sweet. The director, Lisa, has a nasty attitude and was very unwelcoming. We decided this isn't the best place to send our daughter.

They provide a hot nutritious lunch every day as well as breakfast and snacks, which is great because it savings me the time of packing and hauling 3 meals a day for each child. They have a playground and when the weather is poor they have a full size gym that the kids go to to run around and ride bikes and stay active, twice a day. It also has cameras in every room so that I can check in on my kids throughout the day which I love. It is also one of the few daycare centers actually in the city of Germantown. I feel like everyone there cares about my children. All the teachers, even ones they haven't had seem to know their names. My twin boys were enrolled for a little over a month and it was by far the worst thing ever. From classroom cleanliness, rude teachers specifically Ms. Pam, directors that blatantly lie about a person being fired for neglecting to change my child for hours multiple times. One of my twins was hurt twice and no one could tell me how, when, or what happened. Along with one incident being brought to my attention at least an hour after it happened. My child had the appearance of having an allergic reaction and no one made it a point to call. I actively noticed one teacher berating one of sons as if he was her own child. They were completely uncomfortable in this facility. This facility also did not request shot records. So I wanted to include corporate for a formal complaint and please stop all requests for payment to this horrific place.
