My instructor, Nuri, was not only highly knowledgeable but also made the learning process enjoyable. He explained the techniques in a clear and accessible way, even for a complete beginner like me. Nuri's expertise and teaching style made everything feel within reach, and I quickly gained the confidence I needed to learn. Feeling inspired, I joined Women on the Water to continue my sailing journey. After years of waiting to learn how to sail, I'm excited to be on this path. Though I still have a lot to learn, I'm thrilled that St. Augustine Sailing offers so many courses to help me improve and eventually become a skilled sailor. According to her I was constantly in a position to flip the boat. instead of calmly working with me to show me what I was doing wrong she was yelling at me. To her, I could do nothing right. I was never so happy when the course ended. My husband was sorry he sent me here rather than Lake Fairview. My overall opinion is if Captain DJ doesn't like you you're in trouble. The guy that was with me never got yelled at no matter what he did wrong.
