Bad investment. High drop-out rates and low-quality teaching…read more As a graduate of Providence, I can speak from experience to the lack of professionalism and opportunity at this institution. From freshman year to graduation, my academic cohort experienced a 50% drop-out rate. In respect to the young ladies who did enter college / university upon HS graduation, many later dropped out of their advanced studies. In regards to daily life at Providence, teachers were often disengaged and money was not invested properly in education. For example, our science classes oftentimes used equipment from the 1990s and our lab experiments were rationed due to lack of supplies. Furthermore, prosperous fields of study such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) were not encouraged. As one teacher pointed out to our class, "It is better to learn how to clean the classroom to become a proper housewife than to spend the school's financial resources on science / math equipment as young girls do not need to excel in these subjects." To make matters worse, during my time at Providence, there was a firing of staff due to alleged money laundering. I kindly recommend parents to research other institutions.

I'm genuinely concerned about the direction this school is heading. There have been reports that a…read moreteacher told a student he could make the student's life at school "miserable," and multiple students reportedly witnessed both that comment and what they believed was an exaggeration of the student's behavior. If those reports are accurate, they deserve to be taken very seriously. What makes this especially concerning is the amount of authority teachers have. They can influence grades, write disciplinary referrals, issue infractions, and assign detentions. A threat like this raises concerns about possible retaliation, and any misuse of that authority could have a lasting impact on a student's academic record and future opportunities. No student should have to worry that speaking up or simply disagreeing with a teacher could affect their record. These concerns are heightened by Great Hearts' past oversight issues. In 2024, several teachers within Great Hearts Texas were placed on administrative leave after it was discovered that required background checks had not been completed. Although that issue was eventually addressed, it raised legitimate questions about accountability and student safety. Students deserve to feel safe, respected, and confident that concerns about staff conduct will be investigated fairly. I hope the school takes these reports seriously and works to rebuild trust with students and families.

The teachers are very hands on and make many opportunities to meet with you and ensure you are doing your best. Outside of the classroom they are available to meet in their office hours or lunch to talk through any life issues that come a student's way. The teachers are always more than willing to write a letter of recommendation. Chapel is always exciting and while you may get tired of singing salvae regina, you low key miss it when you're gone. I recommend everyone participate in the duel credit program they have with UIW because it makes the transition to college so much easier. I can honestly say that after graduation, I was prepared to handle the rigorous challenges of a University.

They truly care and are passionate about letting kids play as they learn and learn as they play. They love the students and families as their own! This school is pure magic. My oldest is Kinder ready and reading books because of how incredibly well they prepared him and taught him. They bring out the best in every child and it's evidenced in every opportunity parents are provided to be a part of the school and its success. I feel truly valued and treasured, almost like I was the only parent at the school. I love this school and it's truly special and one of a kind, second to none!
