St. Anny Food has perfected the Dan Tat/Chinese-style egg tarts! This dessert has a pastry butter crust and a smooth yellow filling composed of evaporated milk, sugar, and eggs. I've had the opportunity to eat these from multiple places in Salt Lake City, Dan Diego, and Los Angelos. But to this day, St Anny's egg tarts are the best!
The other customer favorite is their Cha Siu Bao, a Cantonese BBQ-pork filled buns.
When I want to mix it up, I'll order a curry-stuffed bread or try out any of the other items. Also, their rolled cakes are spongy, moist, and lovely.
Honestly, all of their baked goods are pretty good but my all-time-favorites are definitely the egg tarts and the Cha Siu Bao. read more
