Coffee was good too, they even had soy milk for my coffee what made me even more happy:) The staff is friendly but when the restaurant is busy it might take a while until they take and bring an order.

Start Your Day off with Rotterdam's Best Breakfast!…read more In the north part of the city next to the canal, on a brick laden street that will shake you gently awake if you're arriving by bike, is where the classic Bertmans is serving up some of the healthiest, tastiest, and most dynamic food Rotterdam has to offer. A breakfast menu that lasts all day makes it a perfect brunch if you're getting a late start to your day in this incredible metropolis. Their prices are modest with consideration of the quality of the food & in comparison to many other bistros in the city. Their location hides from the troves of people near the center, so you can enjoy a really peaceful experience either dining in the tiny interior of the cafe, or out on a terrace next to the canal. The inside can be a tight squeeze, and the decor resembles a Pinterest board for D-I-Y classic comfy Bistro Interior Design, or something to that effect. The outside is really lovely, and you'll be more comfortable with a beautiful view. Here you'll find vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options like fresh pressed juices, delectable raw crackers and spreads, quinoa bowls, delicious toasts, and THE BEST Gluten free pancakes I've ever had in my life. Crispy, salty buckwheat flapjacks with a drizzle of honey topped with basil and blueberries, and a cashew cream sauce. Service wasn't unusually friendly or lacking thereof, they were nice enough, just very busy and doing their best to be attentive to all. I love this place, it's at the top of my list for eateries in Rotterdam, and worth getting around to if your an early lunch or late breakfast kind of traveler.

Holland's first cookie dough bar! I read about it in the newspaper a few weeks back and today I…read morefound myself in Rotterdam so thought I'd give it a try. They have about 4 or 5 different types of cookie dough, and then all sorts of toppings and sauce you can add on top as well as ice cream for those warm summer days. I decided to go for the classic plain 'Baker's Dough' with white and dark chocolate chips added. Because you really can't go wrong with chocolate chip cookie dough! I got a medium because while I was in the line I thought the scoops of dough looked kind of small, but actually because the dough is so rich I really regretted it! I should have gotten a small, because it was pretty hard to get through the medium. But I persevered because I paid €4 for that dough! Overall, if you're a fan of cookie dough, I recommend Baker's Dough. Looking forward to trying all their different kinds of dough in the year to come ;)

The shop was decorated cute. Unfortunately, it didn't have the number of cookie dough choices as I…read moreexpected..only 4 types. I guess this place is good for a coffee but not as a cookie dough shop. They had some nice toppings to go on the dough, plus one could have ice cream too. My husband had the small scoop of red velvet, but unfortunately didn't feel well after eating it. I shared the small chocolate scoop with fresh strawberries and it tasted good. If you are expecting a cookie dough bar/cafe like they have in the USA you will be disappointed. We came from out of town to check it out, but I can't say that I will return again unless I'm already in the neighborhood shopping or visiting. Good luck with your new business. I advise you to add more flavors.
