I went for a 2-hour massage on December 24th. When I got in my massage therapist greeted me and said "so are we doing a 2-hour massage today?" And I answered "yes". She followed by saying "jeez". So needless o say my first 30 seconds in was not the greatest. She went on to guide me inside the room where I was going to get my massage. I am used to going in the room and it it is warm and comfortable, well not this one. It was cold and it remained that way for 2 hours. There was background music that was connected to her phone which she had forgot to put on silence. So when she got a text message, you could hear the noise, the song would stop a while abd then start again. But to top it all off, and the main reason why I already told all my friends to never visit this place, my therapist had a venti sized ice tea from starbucks and while she was massaging me she was drinking it. Not only you could hear the slurping noise but then she would go back to massaging me with a COLD hand!!!! Never visiting this place again and defenitely not worth the $200-2- hour massage.
This review was also posted on google review and there was a complete lack of professionalism from the owner's part in the way they adressed the multiple issues I encountered. Below was the owner's reply:
After reading this dramatically negative review, I referenced our schedule and found your 2 hour booking with one of our extremely qualified, very popular, and one of my longest working therapists at the clinic, Apryl Kokotailo . She has gone above and beyond time and time again, for both her extremely greatful employer and literally hundreds of patients .
She came in early that day, to open up the clinic half an hour before our regular business hours, to accommodate this two hour massage on Christmas Eve.
At 8:30 in the morning, 30 minutes before our regular opening hours in the middle of winter I am not surprised that the clinic was a little bit cold.
The thermostat is set to come on at 9 am when we open and it would have been fully completely heated properly to its internal temperature of 21 degrees by that time. I encourage my therapists to stay hydrated during their treatments, as our job is one which is extremely physically demanding on our bodies.
I apologize if you could hear her drinking, and I'm a little disappointed in the lack of humanity and understanding exhibited in this review. We kindly respect your intentions of never returning back to our business, and we also have faith that our readers and the general public will use their own best judgment in choosing their massage business based on overall reviews and facts, as opposed to negative opinionated criticism such as this. Happy holidays :-)
As you can see the reply was not at all what I expected from a business owner.
A) i did an online booking and an 8:30am slot was confirmed by the establishment, therefore the termostat should have been working.
B) never did I say she could not hydrate, especially for a 2 hour massage and the emphasis was made on the cold hands placed on my body after taking a sip. A sleeve for the cup can be used to prevent that.
C) an answer from a company owner should never call a customer's review "dramatic", and "lack of humanity". The FACTS were listed, they were not OPINIONS as mentioned. A serviced was not rendered and the failure was not from the client. read more
